About the Owner

We have owned Cockcrowing Cottage for many years having lived there and latterly enjoyed many holidays with family and friends there.

Being in the creative industry, we have tried to decorate the cottage with an emphasis on it being a period home but with many modern features. Many of the decorative items and art around the cottage were collected on our travels.

what a fabulous cottage

  • 5 of 5

Had an amazing few days at this lovely cottage. Beautifully furnished in keeping with its character, lovely big enclosed garden. Paul was great making sure all was ok. Great base for walks and venturing down to the beach and the local hotel/bar did a fab meal. Would definitely recommend and would not hesitate in going back there.

Fantastic Family Friendly Cottage

  • 5 of 5

We had an amazing week staying at this wonderful cottage. My wife and our 3 children (2 year old twins and a 7 month old ) thoroughly enjoyed the property. We also had another guest for two nights and had plenty of room. The cottage is full of character with many original features and has been furnished very thoughtfully. We enjoyed lots of local attractions such as the beach at Eype, hive beach, Lyme Regis, monkey world, Dorchester, Abbotsbury, Weymouth, seatown, swimming at Freshwater holiday park and some others. Recommend the Hive Beach Cafe and the Anchor Inn at Seatown for food. So much to see and do in this area for adults and children and we hope to be back.

Thanks Paul.

Beautiful cottage in fab location for exploring

  • 5 of 5

The property was great, perfect size for our group of 6 and our dog. Having a bedroom downstairs was great for our older party members who didn't need to go upstairs.

The cottage was very well equipped, we only cooked one night but it had everything we needed. We definitely recommend the New Inn for dinner, which is a five minute walk down the road, though I would book as we didn't and were lucky to get in. It's dog friendly too. Lots of nice places nearby to explore and lovely walks if you do take your dog. We had a great time, we will definitely recommend to friends and family and would happily come back again. Thanks Paul for a lovely stay and always responding to my questions so quickly.

Lovely country cottage

  • 4 of 5

Gorgeous cottage, secluded garden with lovely views. Very well equipped, within walking distance of dog friendly pub (The New Inn, great meals) and beach. Extremely comprehensive information pack compiled by the owner who contacted us on arrival to ensure everything was in order. Numerous places to visit close by, great food at the Hive Beach Cafe, Burton Bradstock, about two miles away. Would definitely recommend this lovely cottage and hope to return.

Kleines, niedliches Cottage!

  • 4 of 5
