Attractive ground floor apartment with shared patio leading directly onto one of the quietest and most beautiful beaches on the West Coast with excellent swimming and snorkeling in crystal clear water. Comprising 2 air conditioned bedrooms with powerful en suite showers. The main feature of the apartment is its inside/outside living with beautiful views of the Caribbean, especially at sunset. There are several excellent restaurants nearby and the local shopping centre and supermarket is within easy reach. You are 1.5km away from Sandy Lane and its world class golf facilities and watersports, fishing etc are virtually on your doorstep if you require.
The apartment has ifibre optic nternet access and on site security.
Little Reef is well situated for multiple activities. Directly on a very beautiful beach there is snorkelling on the reef a short swim out from the shore. Boat activities are on offer from passing operators on the way to the big resorts past Sandy Lane. Fishermen bring in the catch in Fitts Village five minutes down the beach. Jordan's Supermarket is five minutes walk along the beach and there are restaurants within easy reach by foot or car. There are no high rise blocks of apartments, no fast food outlets nearby but local food restaurants are within walking distance. if you want to shop, need a Bank a good meal or a pizza, even a bit of night life, Holetown is fifteen minutes away by bus or car and Bridgetown and the South Coast around twenty minutes by car and the busses pass regularly!
If you just want to sit and do nothing but soak up the sun Little Reef has a lovely patio with an ambiance all it's own . The sunsets are very often spectacular and to sip a cool drink watching the boats go by is truly the most relaxing and stress free activity of them all.
We just want you to enjoy the experience!
This partner has demonstrated and is committed to fast response times, the best rates, and a great guest experience.
I am Irish and live on the beautiful island of Grenada 45 minutes by air from Barbados. My family has owned Little Reef for over forty years and they still visit the apartment. The beach is stunning and to step from the veranda to the patio and on to the beach is a wonderful experience.
little Reef is special to my family as each generation comes to know its charm and unique position.
immediate access to the platinum beach is little Reef's unique feature and the indoor outdoor feel of the apartment allows for maximum experience of the stunning view. The sunsets are unbelievably beautiful. Fishermen catch sprats in their nets giving a timeless feel to the ambiance
Just returned from our trip to Little Reef lower apartment, the apartment has everything you could possibly need with breathtaking views and direct beach access with great snorkelling. The whole booking was perfect from start to finish with excellent communication from Sally from booking right through to return home. Grantley the caretaker greets you on arrival , a really great guy who is happy to help you get settled in and with local information ie supermarkets, taxi’s etc. always greets you with a smile too. The welcome pack is also a nice touch when you arrive too....the apartment looks exactly as it does in the photographs very comfortable beds and the washer/drier came in very useful. Summing it up .....Loved every minute of our two week stay, stunning setting in a perfect location with fabulous views...didn't want to leave ..Thank you Sally and Sara for Sharing your little piece of paradise we highly recommend a trip to Little Reef if you want a total relaxing stress free holiday although on saying that we would love to keep it our little secret.!!!
We stayed at this lower apartment having spent the last 2 January holidays upstairs. We had an amazing couple of weeks, the view is just beautiful. The access to the beach is fantastic, with an outdoor shower to rinse all sand away. We love Fitts Village and the people, they are so friendly. The apartment is brilliantly equipped with everything you need and the bed was very comfortable. The advantage of the road so near is that buses pass every 5 mins or so to take you anywhere on the island. We love Barbados and have already booked again now that we’ve left. Thanks Sally you have been great in all communications and ringing several times to make sure all is good.
Upon arriving in the wee hours of the morning, the first impression was a 'wow' factor and only got better from there. Perfect location, perfect beach, perfect views. Grantly, Dunston & the housekeeper are all superb, plus Sally phones on a regular basis to ensure all is well. We will recommend to anyone & everyone and we will return as often as we can.
The pictures on the website don't do justice to the actual villa. We couldn't believe our luck when we arrived. The welcome pack was lovely, just what we needed (even a few beers!). The house had everything you could possibly want and the beach and sea was superb. We particularly liked listening to the sea at night and waking up to the sea view in the morning. Watching the sunset at night was a delight. We couldn't fault it in any way and had a brilliant holiday at a particularly good part of the Barbados West Coast. If you've never been to Barbados then this is a good place to start as it is within minutes - North and South - of some of the best parts of the country.
John and Shirley, Herts
We had a wonderful holiday at Sally's homely apartment. We had everything we needed for a relaxing stay and any queries were dealt with by Shirley, the housekeeper, immediately. We were welcomed by Grantley who lives next door and given all the information we needed about the 'working' of the apartment.
The parcel of food & drink essentials left for us in the fridge was very welcome after our delayed flight!
The position of Little Reef could not be bettered - just as nice as Sandy Lane but without the crowds. It was great to wake up and have breakfast on the terrace and go for a swim and maybe a bit of sunbathing without having to wait for anyone else to get up!!
We had a really outstanding meal at The Tides restaurant in Holetown - highly recommended for a special occasion.
The owner Sally was available by email before & during our holiday and responded promptly to all of our queries so that we were totally confident of our decision to stay at Little Reef. I understand that the apartment is undergoing some renovation work during September and we would love to visit again in the future to see how perfection has been improved!
First - thank you Sally for opening your home to us. We enjoyed experiencing island life in this sleepy fishing village. You can't beat this location for steps away from the beautiful, sandy beach and tranquil water. Grantley (very sweet, nice guy) greeted us when we first arrived and showed us how to operate all the locks. He also came over to say goodbye when we left. At first, it's a bit daunting that every single door has a key lock to it, but after the second day, it became habit. Our week was July 15-22, it was hot!! But as long as the bedrooms were air conditioned (which they are), we were fine. One part that wasn't ideal (not Sally's fault) is the traffic right outside the house. I didn't realize it was a MAIN highway, the buses honked their horns continuously and cars with loud mufflers raced by often. I'm a light sleeper so I was up very early every morning. Determined to make the most of it, I would go out onto the deck and have my bowl of cereal and enjoy watching the boats, a few cruise ships and fisherman start their busy day - and to catch up on some much missed reading. My husband and teenage sons enjoyed snorkeling the reef. We brought snorkel gear and they went several times a day. They saw puffer fish, eels, all types of tropical fish. We also brought pool floats, my husband and I lounged and floated several times per day, the water temp was perfect. I highly recommend bringing inflatable pool floats. I also brought inflatable pool noodles, the boys used them for their "snorkel buoy" since the one that was suppose to be in the house wasn't there. Shirley wasn't sure what happened to it. We met Shirley and she called a few times to check up on us during the week. She's also very nice. If you are considering staying at Little Reef, and are looking for a snorkel/catamaran lunch excursion, I highly recommend Elegance Catamaran Cruises. http://www.elegancebarbados.com/catamarancruises/sailing-excursions/. Great crew, great food (the best all week!), great rum punch! They only take no more than 14 people, plus you get a great view of Little Reef house from the water since you go right past it to a snorkel destination! Win-Win! I also suggest St. Nicholas Abbey rum plantation, absolutely beautiful area, and great breezes! Their rum punch is to DIE for! No lie. Also, Cariba Restaurant (up the street, across from The Cliff restaurant). Beautiful atmosphere and sounds of tree frogs while you enjoy your meal.
Situated directly on a stunning beach in Fitts Village, approximately 5 kms south of Sandy Lane. Easy access to local supermarket and to a variety of restaurants of different cuisine. Excellent bus service to all parts of the island.
