1 Double: 1 twin: 2 Bathrooms. 1 with bath and shower.
Attractive ground floor apartment with patio leading directly onto one of the quietest and most beautiful beaches on the West Coast with excellent swimming and snorkeling in crystal clear water. Comprising 2 air conditioned bedrooms with powerful en suite showers. The main feature of the apartment is its inside/outside living with beautiful views of the Caribbean, especially at sunset. There are several excellent restaurants nearby and the local shopping centre and supermarket is within easy reach. You are 1.5km away from Sandy Lane and its world class golf facilities and watersports, fishing etc are virtually on your doorstep if you require.
The apartment has internet access and on site security.
Little Reef is well situated for multiple activities. Directly on a very beautiful beach there is snorkelling on the reef a short swim out from the shore. Boat activities are on offer from passing operators on the way to the big resorts past Sandy Lane. Fishermen bring in the catch in Fitts Village five minutes down the beach. Jordan's Supermarket is five minutes walk along the beach and there are restaurants within easy reach by foot or car. There are no high rise blocks of apartments, no fast food outlets nearby but local food restaurants are within walking distance. if you want to shop, need a Bank a good meal or a pizza, even a bit of night life, Holetown is fifteen minutes away by bus or car and Bridgetown and the South Coast around twenty minutes by car and the busses pass regularly!
If you just want to sit and do nothing but soak up the sun Little Reef has a lovely patio with an ambiance all it's own . The sunsets are very often spectacular and to sip a cool drink watching the boats go by is truly the most relaxing and stress free activity of them all.
We just want you to enjoy the experience!

Thank you for staying with us and we look forward to your next visit.
About the Owner
I am Irish and live on the beautiful island of Grenada 45 minutes by air from Barbados. My family has owned Little Reef for over forty years and they still visit the apartment. The beach is stunning and to step from the veranda to the patio and on to the beach is a wonderful experience.

Perfect for our 12 days on the island!
We would recommend staying at Little Reef--we were there with two young adults and had a great time playing cards on the deck watching sunsets and stars in the evenings. You couldn't be any closer to the water unless you were on a boat--water is amazing and the sound of the surf is soothing all day and night! The supermarket is within walking distance--we walked to/from there along the beach most times. Found TONS of beach glass. The rotisserie is perfect for chicken! We'd recommend bringing your own knives and some spices from home if you plan on cooking at the apartment. Dave (taxi driver) was amazing--his number is in the packet by the phone. He took us all over the island and we found his prices were the same/better than other drivers who picked us up from the other end of the island to return us home. He took us to the airport at 4:30 in the morning and was always prompt about picking us up. Shirley, Grantley and Esther were very kind to us during our stay. Sally checked in on us a couple of times which was also nice. Charlie (jet ski owner) came by and we enjoyed a trip out on his jet ski. He also set up a 2 hr snorkeling trip and they picked us up right in front of Little Reef. We thought that was a lot of fun for less than half the price of a catamaran trip. (that was fun, too) We took both types of busses and had a little more fun on the non-city bus--the music was fun and it was definitely an experience! We would choose Little Reef over a hotel ANY DAY! Little Reef was very clean and we'd definitely return to this lovely apartment!
Excellent location right on the beach
The property was exactly as described and was well equipped.
The very short walk down some steps to a perfect swimming area in the sea was wonderful, as were the sunsets in the evening.
The villa was well situated in a relatively quiet part of the west coast yet close to shops and restaurants.
Grantley and Shirley looked after us very well and we would have no hesitation in returning to Little Reef.
This was our 2nd time to Barbados. Our 1st time we stayed on the south coast. It was fabulous, but we wanted calmer water and more seclusion/privacy. Well, I am still patting myself on the back for finding Little Reef! It was just what we were looking for. Simple home with all that you need to self cater for a time. Right on the most beautiful beach with calm water that you could spend all day floating or snorkeling (which we did). There really was no reason to even leave to explore! A monkey even came to our porch! Great grocery store a short walk away (on a very busy road with little walking room, so not able to use a stroller). Bus stop nearby that took us to Holetown for dinner each night. Sally was so pleasant to work with in the rental booking. We felt extra safe knowing that Grantley was nearby. The owners of the upstairs apartment were so kind and helpful. Overall, we've found the spot that we plan to return to hopefully year after year!
Stunning views tranquil setting private beach
First time in Barbados will not be the last .The people are the friendliest I have ever met .This apartment is perfect if you want to totally chill & have a relaxing holiday .There is everything you require for a self catering apt very well equipped if you do not want to dine out every night ,and you won't because once you watch the sun go down on the veranda with a glass of wine and a steak sizzling on the barbaque the desire to go out disappears very quickly. So much to see various fishing boats pass by ,cruise ships on the horizon ,balmy star filled skies ,bliss .
Should you wish to venture out at night there is an Italian approx 10 mins walk called il Tiempo this is very nice not too expensive by Barbados standards and as this is directly positioned on the beach it's very picturesque.
Further afield you catch a bus right outside Little Reef into Holtown here you will find a number of bars & Restaurants .Would recommend The Elbow Room you cook your steak or fish course on a hot stone to your liking & this was also reasonable .
We went to the famous Oistens fish place on the Friday night ,you catch a bus outside ,we left at 5.30 and we would have been better leaving a lot earlier as the trip took almost 1 hr for a 20 min journey due to busy traffic .This was worth a visit very busy, tables are arranged outdoors with various eateries serving mainly fish .There is live music & craft stalls .We called At St Lawrence Gap on our way home for cocktails here this area was more touristy with various bars .
The best & most entertaining way around the island is defiantly the local buses they stop almost anywhere for you and each trip is only 3 Bajan dollars. Grantley the watchman met us on our arrival to show us how everything worked & even came with us for a cool beer at the local bar Wendy's which is just across the road .
Sally called us a couple of days into our holiday to check everything was ok & again at the end of the holiday to wish us a safe trip home which was a lovely touch.
Would not hesitate to recommend this accommodation in the future & would defiantly like to return again in the not so distant future .
Location, Location, Location
This was our second time at Little Reef. The location is fantastic, and value for money, where else can you enjoy the views and swim right on your doorstep in Barbados for what we paid.
The apartment is comfortable and has everything you need. This year there is a new addition of a cooker, which is really useful, and the washing machine is brilliant. We spent most days starting with a swim, then breakfast, walk along the beach, more swims. Rum punches at sunset, dinner on the terrace. No need to go out as it couldn't be beaten.
To be able to watch the world go by from the terrace is lovely. We saw fishermen catching their bait, fish leaping form the water, flying fish? Cruise ships come and go, we even saw turtles pop their heads up for a breath. Frigate birds swooping over what must have been a shoal of fish near the top of the surface. Locals and tourists walking by, getting caught at high tide trying to pass the rocks, lots of screams!
Wendy's is just up the road, and a great place for inexpensive dinner and drinks, they show sports events on the tv, if that is important to some, as there is no tv in the apartment. We preferred that, because we have not come on holiday to end up watching the box.
Grantley telephoned one morning to tell us not to swim as it was extremely rough with undercurrents. We were glad he had warned us, as we watched others swim later in the day, and they did seem to struggle, they were not in long. Most of the time the sea was fabulous for swimming and snorkelling. If it is rough outside Little Reef, then it will be all along the West coast, so best to go sightseeing or try St Lawrence Gap for another lovely beach and swimming in the lagoon.
An excellent location for access to all other parts of the island, supermarket 5 minutes walk, bus stop outside, and parking space. Tip though, don't park under the palm tree in case a coconut falls on to your hire car!
Can't wait to go again.
Many thanks to Sally, Shirley and Grantely for looking after us.
Best wishes Emily, Ed and Judy
Amazing stay at Little Reef
