Bywater Lodge is a comfortable and elegant pet friendly detached lodge style bungalow in Teignharvey, situated on the famous "Templer Way"; a route for walkers linking Haytor on Dartmoor with the sea ports of Shaldon & Teignmouth ~ http://www.devon.gov.uk/templer-way-guide.pdf.

Positioned just 1.3 miles from Shaldon and 1.2 miles from The Coombe Cellars Pub. Teignharvey can be found between Newton Abbot and Shaldon, in spectacular South Devon, ideal for walkers and water sport enthusiasts.

Approached by its own private driveway, the property with secure gated entrance, offers large grounds and plenty of parking space for larger families wishing to get away from it all to the South Devon Countryside. Enclosed by timber fencing, there is also a garden gate that gives access down onto the river beach from where you can launch your own craft.

Inside, you will find everything you could need from a holiday home in South Devon. Boasting two shower rooms and four spacious bedrooms all on one level, the interior of this property is both spacious and comfortable, with all the homely touches of the countryside.

Outside, this spectacular chalet benefits from a private sun terrace with reclining chairs, perfect in the summer months for watching the sun pass over the beautiful Devon countryside.

There is a gated gravel driveway down to a parking area for up to 3-4 cars. From your car, there are two sets of 7 slabbed steps and one set of 17 wooden sleeper steps leading down to the pool terrace and the front door of the lodge.

Stunning waterside pubs, can be reached by boat or by foot/car approximately a mile in each direction at Coombe Cellars or in Shaldon).

The nearby opportunities for the many beautiful beaches, of bird watching, swimming, surfing, kayaking and picnics and also golf and cycling in the nearby Dartmoor National Park; make this large holiday home the perfect choice for families & friends who want to enjoy quality time together in one of the most beautiful and idyllic landscapes in the British Isles.

Bywater exceeded our expectations. The house is clean, comfortable, luxurious, spacious and so much more. The children had space to play in the enormous gardens, we all had fun in the large hot tub, the games room in the garage provided hours of entertainment and gentle family competitions. The location is perfect with many other beautiful areas and beaches within very close proximity, or just to simply stroll into Shaldon. Sitting outsider at Bywater watching the evening draw to darkness with a glass of wine or in the morning with a lovely coffee listening to the birds and watching the little boats bobbing around whilst gazing at the beautiful view is perfect. Bywater is also very private, no prying eyes and no sounds from neighbours or roads etc. Our four families would definitely recommend Bywater, everything that we needed was here.

Swimming Pool Heating can be arranged for £150 per week additional cost (not included in the tariff quote). Open between 1st July - end of Sept only.
Beach Towels ~ please remember to bring along beach towels as these are not provided.
Infants ~ we can arrange the hire of cots or high chairs - please give at least one week's notice if you wish us to arrange this for you. We ask that you supply all the baby bedding yourselves.
Pets Considered ~ 1 or 2 well-behaved dogs are welcome to stay for an additional cost of £25 for one and £50 for 2 dogs. Please check with us before booking about all dogs.
Smoking ~ in consideration of our non-smoking guests, we regret that Bywater Lodge Shaldon is Non Smoking.
