Overview

About the property

Three Bedroom Cottage, Sleeps 6

Polly’s Place is a delightfully renovated, typical Brixham cottage,

with beautiful views over the harbour. This resort is special, as you

will discover, but to stay in the heart of the area is an experience

not to be missed. There is so much to see that you will be spoilt for

choice, however a boat trip across to Torquay and another to Dartmouth

are well worth taking. If you want to see all the attractions on offer

in Torbay and the surrounding area, then the delights of Dartmouth,

Torquay, Paignton, Salcombe and Blackpool Sands are all just a short

coach or car trip away..

Guestbook comments from the manager

What a wonderful holiday home in a perfect spot. Brilliantly laid out for families to enjoy each others company, but also have a bit of space if needed. Spotless, with all items that were needed for a perfect week away with my grown up children and their partners.

Totally relaxing (apart from the steps) but it wouldn't be Brixham without them.

Wonder times, thank you very much xx

Very nice house, location and views ...However...

  • 4 of 5

Very nice house with lovely views, and great location, however no parking at the property and finding places to park daily was a bit of a pain. Towels provided were clearly new and not washed so covered in fluff and not very good to dry you, the patio area is not private neighbours can walk through all the time, so not very secure if you have a dog or want some privacy on a sunny day outside !!!

Owner's Response: Dear Guest, Thank you for your review from your stay at Polly's Place. We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your stay as a whole. Parking can be an issue in Brixham, as it seems that you unfortunately experienced on this occasion, but we do always recommend local car parks as an alternative to on-street parking. However, we are sorry you have experienced this issue, and will look into advertising the parking options more clearly in future. Please do let us know if you wish to return to this property, or any of the others on our listings, and we will be more than happy to welcome you back again in the future. Best wishes, Discovery Holiday Homes

Location

Berry Head:

Berry Head is a peak peninsular in the fishing town of Brixham, it's magnificently undomesticated with cliffs and Britain's smallest and highest lighthouse. There is a coast guard location and a visitor hub, also there's a insolvent fort and a small number of cannons, on your way back stop by at the citadel cafe for a lovely cup of tea or an ice cream.

Coastal Path:

Stretching from the South side of Brixham to Maidencombe, the coast path around the Bay offers excellent and varied walking, with circular walks or point-to-point, with spectacular sea views and an exotic range of flora and fauna.

Additional Attractions & Activities include :-

Bike rentals, Bird watching, Boat rentals/charters, Botanical gardens, Canoeing/kayaking, Climbing, Crazy golf/pitch & putt, Deep sea fishing, Exceptional views, Funicular railway, Hiking/trails, Mountain biking, Museum, National park, National Trust Properties, Near beach, Park, Public transportation, Restaurants & bars, Rowing boats, Sailing, Scenic trails, Scuba diving, Skiing - water, Surfing/body boarding, Swimming, Tennis court, Tenpin bowling, Train station, Water park and Wildlife viewing.

Golf :-

Churston

Churston Golf Club, Dartmouth Road, Churston Ferrers, Brixham TQ5 0LA = 2.4miles.

Churston Golf Club’s biggest asset is the course itself. Not only is the 18 holes laid out and presented in a fashion that is always pleasing on the eye, Mother Nature has ensured that the sub strata of shillet and shale are perfect for golf course drainage. This excellent drainage allows for play 365 days a year and the warm climate means the surfaces of the greens are in tip top condition 12 months of the year unlike so many other courses.

Other Golf Clubs in the area include ~

Torquay Golf Club - Petitor Road, St Marychurch,Torquay, Devon TQ1 4QF = 12.3miles.

Torquay Golf Club is an extremely popular venue for visitors and societies alike - due to the excellent service and friendly welcome provided. It is a delightful parkland course with stunning views over Lyme Bay to the east and Dartmoor to the west.

Torquay makes a great short break for Golfers in both summer and winter. When many other courses are snowbound or unplayable the clement Torbay weather ensures that a full 18 holes can be completed!

Dainton Park Golf Club, Newton Abbot. TQ12 5TN = 11miles.

Dartmouth Golf & Country Club, Blackawton, Dartmouth. TQ9 7DE 8.8miles.

Newton Abbot Golf Club, Stover, Newton Abbot, TQ12 6QQ = 16miles.
