The studio apartment is on the ground floor in our family house, opening onto a small garden where it will be pleasant to eat and rest as soon as spring comes. It is composed of one main room fully equipped with a kitchen and a separate bathroom including shower and toilets.
It is ideal for 2 people (and also a baby).
The studio enjoys a privileged location, a 10mn walk to Place de la Libération. Every 10mn, a free City Bus runs past the end of our street and circulates throughout the city centre. It is also close to bus (L5 and L12) and tramway (T2) stations. A walk in our neighbourhood might lead you down to the Dijon Port du Canal, where it is always pleasant to wander or have a gourmet snack on the Cancale boat – a favourite place for connoisseurs, fans of concerts, shows, meetings and debates.
The studio has its own entrance. The garden is L-shaped with one wing in front of our entrance door and the other in front of the studio door. This is a space we might have to share on sunny days (we take our meals out in the garden as often as we can!).
The kitchen is fully equipped (induction cooking, electric kettle and coffee machine, teapot, dishes and cooking utensils, fridge). Sheets are supplied for the double bed (160cm width and 205cm length). Towels are also provided. Wi-Fi is free. If needed we can provide a baby bed and a high chair (it will be a bit crowded then, but possible). We can also lend you one adult bicycle. It is possible to use the washing machine and the dryer (3euros per machine). A door in the apartment leads to Judith’s workshop, the landlady, who is also a visual artist. This door remains locked to ensure you peace and quiet during your stay. We live in this 3-floor house with our 2 sons aged 9 and 7.
The studio location is at once perfect for walking into the city centre and also to drive easily out of town, and discover the Route des grands Crus (wine discovery route – also called the Champs-Elysées de la Bourgogne). We are actually very near Kilometre 0 of the Route des grands Crus and the future Cité de la Gastronomie. Our street is very quiet and parking is still free.
From the station, take bus L12 at bus stop « Gare SNCF », then get off at bus stop « Suquet » (2nd stop).
The studio is in perfect shape and has been redecorated in 2014. We kindly ask you to leave it in the same state as you found it: clean bathroom, toilets, kitchen, cooking plates, fridge, and dishes. A vacuum cleaner and all necessary cleaning devices are at your disposal in a closet. We’ll take care of sheets and towels. Thank you for letting us know about any mishap (such as broken dishes for instance) before you leave. House cleaning on request for an extra 20 euros.
Smokers may use the garden and train at making smoke bubbles. We sometimes have visits of neighbourhood cats: we do not wish extra animal nomads in the house!
