Not what we expected
So the main problem was that the portion of the villa you get is the lower ground level underneath the owner’s private quarters. It felt quite claustrophobic. The other main issue was that the pool is up steep steps to the upper level and is overlooked by the owner. From the photographs on HomeAway you think you are getting a portion of the villa that overlooks the pool/sea. You don’t realise that you will be below stairs with no view. The other unsettling feature is that there are surveillance cameras everywhere which make you feel very uncomfortable. We arrived late afternoon and there were 6 of us so finding alternative accommodation same day would have been difficult when everyone was tired from travelling. We only stayed the one night and moved on the next morning. The accommodation is ill equipped too with no glasses, no kettle, no toaster, hard beds and a couple of air conditioning units with no working remote controls. We lost our deposit money so it turned into an expensive trip for us.
