Hospitality in charming inserted in an ancient country property 800. The unique location of the place, suspended between the sea and the volcano Etna, will be the setting for an unforgettable stay. The two annexes are independent and equipped with private bathroom, air conditioning, minibar, TV, Wi Fi. Both are characterized by an element of nature: "Water" with the colors of blue and "Fire" with shades of red. The kitchen is shared among the guests of the two rooms and is made within an exclusive environment carved into the lava rock. The kitchen is located a few meters in front of the two apartments and is equipped with stove, oven, microwave, grill, washing machine, refrigerator with freezer, pots and pans.
Manicured green spaces, a sun terrace and lush farm planted with lemon and olive trees, will be at your disposal for a unique holiday.
In addition, the owners passion for sailing will be an opportunity to take advantage, on request, boat trips to offshore sailing to discover the coast of Taormina and nature reserves of the island of the Cyclops and the Timpa of Acireale.

Exceptional

Lovely location and so relaxing. Beautiful views of Mount Etna and sea , really couldn't have asked for more. Hosts Claudio and Antonella we lovely and welcoming and so discrete, 6 days of calm - everything you would want at the start of your vacation.

Gorgeous Villa with wonderful hosts

Location is perfect if you want to be away from the hubbub, so you will need a car. Villa was gorgeous, with great views (came with a resident outdoor cat). The two double rooms and kitchen have their own entrance which all open out to the courtyard (ie they are separate dwellings whereby you need to walk through the outside courtyard to get to each). Dwelling 1 has a double bedroom with en-suite, dwelling 2 has a double bedroom with separate bathroom and a front room with sofa, small table with two chairs and TV. Kitchen has seating for two. Definitely recommend this villa.

Beautiful property - great hosts

We had a great time at Etna Independence. Hard to fault except for an issue that is beyond the hosts control and honestly coloured our whole impression of Sicily - there is a terrible problem with litter all over the island and it is a disaster for the tourist industry there Nevertheless if you want a lovely place to stay that puts you in easy reach of Etna and the coast near to Catania then I cannot fault Etna Independence. Thanks so much for a lovely week Claudio and Antonella

A comfortable and stylish annex to a characterful old family home on the lower slopes of Mt Etna.

We had a five day stay here, and it was perfect. The characterful family home sits on the lower slopes of Mt Etna and has a well develped annex for guests. The hosts were warm and committed to making our stay highly enjoyable. We were able to visit Taomina, Mt Etna, a fabulous local winery for lunch, and another quality restaurant in a nearby village. We could also just relax in own section of the extensive garden or on the terrace with views overlooking the sea. The property has easy access to the motorway in the section between between Taormina and Catania.

Etna Dependance Offers a Wonderful Space, Situation and Hosts

Four of us recently stayed for a week at Etna Dependance with our hosts, Claudio and Antonella. From beginning to end, this placed charmed us. It is perfectly located to visit Siracusa, Etna and its mountain villages, the beaches and Taormina. It was a comforting and warm place to return to, and you could easily spend several days on the sunny terrace drinking coffee and reading...along with a lovely glass of Sicilian wine at night. Claudio and Antonella are genuine and friendly and offer both charm and warmth. We will return and recommend this place to any traveler who wishes to experience Sicily.

Why they chose this property

The place where born Etna dependance , belongs to my family since 1800 ( the family of Politi of Acireale ) that privileged to spend the period of the grape harvest in the estate more beautiful ' Dagala the King ' . Formerly intended to growing grapes for wine , the building still has the typical characteristics of the wineries of the time. Vacation spot of my childhood and gradually became the residence of myself and my wife . We believe that both have dedicated the annex of our house tourist hospitality is not just a business decision , but also an opportunity for human and cultural enrichment mutual with those who choose to come to spend the holidays with us . We are passionate about our country and its artistic , natural and scenic and always available to guide our guests to their discovery .

What makes this property unique

I chose to live in a place where the volcano Etna is a constant presence , and after years I can not help but be amazed every time you turn the gaze to the west , being completely fascinated by its colors , majesty and beauty . Antonella with me , my wife , she shared the choice to live an extraordinary place between the sea and the volcano , surrounded by citrus trees with a thousand scents .
