The House is a split level stone house of 280m2, situated in a large natural garden of half an acre (3500M2) with pine trees, cypresses and various other green trees. From the house one can see the sea. It is fully furnished with all the modern amenities and comfort such as dish washer, washing machine, the normal kitchen appliances, TV etc and consists of :

• a large living room, spacious kitchen, an entrance hall and a W.C. on the

main level,

• one master bedroom with its en-suite bathroom, two bedrooms and a bath-

bathroom on the upper level.

• one bedroom, one bath-room on the lower level

• Large terraces suitable for outdoor living

Bed Sheets and towels are provided and maid service can be arranged on demand at an extra cost..

Smoking is only allowed in the living room and Main level. No smoking in the bedrooms.

Nea Makri is a vibrant country town on the seaside at the fields of Marathon. The town is only 30 Km from Athens and 10 Km from the township of Marathon, the original starting point of the Marathon Races .The name of this athletic long-distance endurance race comes from the legend of a Greek runner who was sent from Marathon to Athens to announce that the Persians had been miraculously defeated in the Battle of Marathon in in 490 BC.

In the town of Nea Makri one finds a large choice of restaurants, fish taverns, coffee houses and bars, mostly on the sea side where there is also a very active night life. The town itself has an array of shops, banks, supermarkets and outdoor movies. The Beach of Nea Makri is only 5 minutes by car from the house. The famous Schinias Beach is 15 minutes by car. A car is a must and can be rented at the El. Venezelos International Airport by prior arrangement.

Large and quiet

We had a wonderful two weeks in July/August 2015. The villa is well equipped, large and quiet. The terrace and the garden are really nice. Lida and Halldor are very friendly and helpful. We really recommend this accomodation.

We spent our holiday during June 2014 in this beautiful country villa in Nea Makri with my family and our very good friends. It is a very relaxing and enchanting place. We enjoying the good weather having breakfast al-fresco on the terrace from where you can see the blue Mediterranean sea. The house is close to supermarkets, banks, shops, restaurants and for sure close to the nice beaches of Nea Makri and Schinias. It is also close to the port of Rafina - a gateway to the Greek islands. All in all, it was a wonderful experience and one that we would recommend highly to a family looking for a relaxing vacation.

all services are excellent and the location is convenient to rech Athens and other interesting places in Attica (Sounion, Vravrona, Schinias, Rafina...).

the homeowners are very kind, helpful and friendly!! it was great to be their guests!
