The Situation:

Situated on a quiet Soi with no through traffic, only minutes away from charming Rawai and stunning Nai Harn beaches, and just a short drive away from a host of local amenities including wonderful restaurants, family friendly bars, shops and banks. Everything you need to have the perfect holiday experience.

The Villa:

Sunshine Villa is a beautiful 3 bedroom private pool villa, offering large open plan accommodation with a bright and airy feel. The villa is well finished and beautifully furnished throughout, set on a large plot with electronic gates and secure off-street parking.

The living room has ample comfortable seating with a large corner sofa and ornate coffee table, plus a wall mounted flat screen TV and of course free cable and wi-fi!

Large patio doors open directly to the outside patio and infinity swimming pool and sun-loungers are provided for soaking up the glorious sunshine. The large garden is perfect for an evening BBQ and allows for plenty of pool-side fun!

The kitchen is well equipped to with all appliances and utensils, including a large fridge/freezer, electric oven with gas hob, microwave, kettle, toaster etc… and a marble top breakfast bar provides a boundary between the kitchen and dining area, which has seating for 6. And a separate utility room has a washing machine, ironing facilities and a safe.

Downstairs there are 2 good sized bedrooms, fitted with quality furniture and each with its own en-suite bathroom & walk-in showers.

Upstairs the master bedroom is very spacious with amazing views over the surrounding area, and a luxurious ‘his and hers’ en-suite bathroom.

Patio doors open onto the sun-terrace which overlooks the pool and offers views to Phukets famous ‘Big Buddha’… and the surrounding hillside

The Area:

Rawai is quickly becoming one of the most sought after spots on the island, extremely popular with the local people and expats alike. With the sudden rise in popularity there is now a wonderful fusion of traditional Thai style life with newer, more modern influences. Yet there is still an air of relaxation and tranquility which you won't find in the busier resort towns which gives you a great opportunity to experience a bit more of 'The Real Thailand' that you wouldn’t necessarily see at other parts of the island.

On the doorstep is Friendship Beach, a beautiful beachside restaurant with great food and even better views! Stunning Nai Harn Beach, recently voted the 6th best beach in Asia, and Rawai Beach, with a delightfully traditional atmosphere yet infused with modern influences are just a quick 5 minute drive away. One of the more peaceful parts of the island, getting around is a peaceful and pleasurable experience!

Fantastic villa in quiet residential,location

We would recommend this villa to anyone wishing to explore Rawai and the surrounding area as it is very well placed and presented to a high standard.

The villa is accurately described and exceeded our expectations for space and quality , we wanted for nothing.

The owner Stuart made all the difference by showing us around on the first day as it meant we did not waste any holiday time finding good places to eat out and the best beaches to enjoy. We had a fantastic family holiday with two teenagers and would definitely book the villa again if we return to Phuket.

First class accommodation and great location

Firstly I would just like to thank Stuart who upon our arrive had organised our transfers from the airport and scooters from a local hire company for a very reasonable cost !! This acommation is first class it is in a great location with all the local ameties just a short walk or drive away.

The accommodation is very large and every room is spacious giving it that luxurious feel.

The pool is a great size for us and our guest to laze about in all day with ample room to sit and eat around the patio area with plenty sun lounges and parasols to keep you cool in the heat that Thailand is great for.

I am very fussy about where I stay and I must say this is up in the top 1 of my list of places I've stayed for location, size, luxurious , I would also like to thank Stuart again for his local knowledge he took the time to show myself and my friend around the area for points of interest and show us how easy it was to get around the area, along with providing us with the basic stock food water beer etc etc nice little touch in my eyes also the use of a mobile phone already stocked with local numbers which was a great idea !!

I can go on forever about the villa and how helpful Stuart was but I need to end somewhere.

So I just like to thank everyone involved

Great stay at Sunshine villa!

We had a brilliant week staying at Sunshine Villa. It certainly lives up to its name as there is bounteous amounts of sunshine enabling use of the gorgeous pool all day if you choose. It lacked shady areas as we could only use one umbrella but I gather more can be available. The BBQ could do with upgrading but there is a very decent sized open kitchen with all one requires. It's certainly very spacious for six people including two little children. A great cot and high hair were provided for us. It's location is brilliant with gorgeous beaches nearby and delicious local Thai restaurants which also do takeaways to enjoy at home.

Chris was very helpful and efficient with booking and any queries we had. He also organised our airport transfers and our hire car - thank you!

We look forward to returning!

Spacious Peace and Quiet

As a spanking new three bedroomed villa, in a quiet 'no through road' Sunshine Villa proved a very relaxing holiday retreat in a peaceful spot. The rooms were spacious, the beds comfortable, and with barbecue,cable TV, Wi-Fi, pool and a fully equipped kitchen, all we needed to do was visit the nearby supermarkets to stock up! The extensive folder in the property did however draw us to several of the nearby restaurants and beaches all of which, as recommended, were quieter than those we would normally visit. There is also a reclusive bar within 4 minutes walk.The Sunday maid service was efficient and quick and the views from the upper balcony magnificent. We are seriously considering returning next Christmas.

Rawai is located at the southern tip of Phuket and is quickly becoming one of the most popular areas to live on the island, teeming with artists, Thai and expat entrepreneurs, and a service sector that, for the most part, moved here from somewhere else.

Rawai is quite spread out with lots of trees and greenery so scooter hire is advisable, driving is easy as the area is nice and quiet and it really allows you to explore.

It is much less touristy than nearby Kata and Patong beaches and an excellent place to experience some real Thai culture with a peaceful local atmosphere and is very popular for the many seafood restaurants all along the waterfront. For a bit of fun its best is to eat on mats placed on the floor like locals do, the food is just as good, but it's a more memorable experience. The food and drink tend to be slightly cheaper here too!

Overall, Rawai Beach is not your usual beach destination but offers a unique local feel and is perfect if you prefer a quiet and peaceful holiday and a more authentic experience.

The beach stretches east to west with a cape at both ends and is very shady and pleasant, even on the hottest days, and you can while away the afternoon underneath the beach's casuarina trees, or catch a traditional Thai longtail boat out to one of the nearby islands, Koh Bon, Koh Hey (Coral Island) or Koh Racha.

For a glimpse into the day-to-day life of a real Thai 'working beach' Rawai Beach is hard to beat. Some fishermen caulk their vessels while others mend their nets; others work on a new boat and the whole beach atmosphere is decidedly nautical. Catches are hauled ashore while restaurant operators on nearby islands load crates of beer and bags of rice aboard longtail boats.

All you have to do is sit and take it all in! There are no jetskies, banana boats, ambulant beach vendors or any of the trappings of a west coast beach; this is Thai beach life.

When the urge takes you to spend the day soaking up some sunshine or the kids want to go swimming & snorkeling in the ocean, then Ya-Nui Beach and Nai Harn Beach are only a quick 5 minutes drive away.

Ya-Nui lies in the shadow of two of Phuket's loveliest viewpoints. It's a charming little cove featuring good snorkeling, kayaking and fishing. The sand is beautifully soft and children love to collect shells on this beach.

Nai Harn is a fabulous beach, tucked away between rolling hills blanketed by rainforest and backed by a lake. It’s one of the islands most popular places with in-the-know locals as well as a popular anchorage for yachts during high season. The thin soft sand and perfect clear blue water is fringed by a delightful pine forest with so many choices to eat you won’t know how to decide!

The region is defined not just by its beaches but also by its lush coastal hills that rise steeply and tumble into the Andaman Sea, forming Laem Phromthep, Phuket’s beautiful southernmost point providing wonderful sunset views across the ocean.

The hills are home to pocket neighborhoods and cul-de-sacs knitted together by just a few roads – although more are being carved into the hills each year. Even with the growth you can still feel nature, especially when you hit the beach.

With the sudden rise in popularity the area has been subjected to a fair amount of development over the past few years and now traditional village life has become intertwined with a host of modern conveniences. Upmarket restaurants and beach clubs are muddled together with Tiki-Bars and roadside vendors. Bakeries and coffee shops mixed with open-air markets and beachside BBQ’s.

While not the best place for hardcore partygoers there is still a bright and vibrant nightlife with a selection of family friendly watering holes, pool bars, girlie bars and the now famous ‘Laguna Plaza’ - a collection of around 15 bars and a nightclub all under one roof, offering great music, a lively atmosphere and outstanding drinks that will surely keep you dancing until the early hours of the morning..
