Highly recommended , and the view !

We had a really enjoyable week. The view is fantastic and the sunsets some of the best we have ever seen. The property is set in the old town in a quiet area ,with pedestrian access at the front so no traffic. The old town is great to wander around the narrow streets with an excellent selection of places to eat. Many do traditional Sardinian food and I would recommend this. Luisa as a host was first class and very helpful . The apartment was very clean with pretty much every thing you need . Highlight for me was sitting on the terrace gazing out to sea . Shower was good , bed comfortable and to be honest the pictures probably do not do it justice. Whilst it does not have all mod cons that actually made a pleasant change.(Wifi was excellent) This apartment is very good value and we loved Alghero old town. Thank you Luisa

Wonderful views, apartment position couldn’t be better

Lovely apartment photos don’t capture its fantastic outlook. Spacious and comfortable, nice for a couple or small family. Everything close enough like bread shop and supermarket make it possible to have some great breakfasts and lunches on the roof terrace. All equipment extremely clean and well designed, plenty of crockery,pans and everything required for cooking if you want to. Very peaceful with bedroom facing the sea. Will never forget the sunset just unbelievably beautiful. Such friendly host and people in Sardinia, would love to return in the future.

Very pleasant apartment with lovely sea views

We spent 3 weeks in this pleasant top floor apartment. Good-quality furniture, airy and lots of room, everything is there you need, even a real Italian cafetiera which we appreciated very much. And the WIFI works impeccably. A pleasure is the large and private west facing terrace with spectacular sunsets over the sea and Capo Caccia. The house is quiet and the bed perfect, so no problem with getting one´s nightly sleep. The daily town market a short walk away offers a substantial selection of fresh local fruit and veg etc. Even 2 barracudas from a fish stand found their way in our frying pan. And the Delta supermarket, also quite near, sells great Sardinian sheep cheeses and has a remarkable choice of meat, also local lamb, and tasty Sardinian wines. The Girasol bar/café has fine filled typical Italian croissants, ideal for breakfast. We loved the walks along the promenade, you can walk for miles in either direction. And the local buses serve a good net, are cheap and reliable. The contact with the owner and housekeeper was very friendly and efficient, and we could warmly recommend this holiday apartment.

Beautiful apartment in stunning location

We found the apartment very spacious and spotlessly clean. The bed was probably the best we've ever slept in and the three air conditioning units kept us cool in the heat. The bath was large and the shower worked perfectly. The wi-fi was also excellent. The sunny terrace was also very spacious with fabulous views especially at sunset. Close to a great bar and very good restaurants, we certainly didn't struggle to find good food at reasonable prices. The old town is a delight to wander around and with good beaches not too far away this makes an ideal location for a relaxing holiday.

Large private terrace with uninterrupted sea views

Alghero is a small and lively seaside town, great fun to be in, even in August. It is enjoyable to walk around the old town, and go on boat trips, including to the ' Neptune cave' nearby. Having a gelato looking at the sea is a requirement. The apartment is in an excellent location, and is comfortably furnished, including enough kitchen equipment to cook if you want to. There is a great daily market about 5 minutes from the apartment. The terrace is superb, completely private and sunny. Maria was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended. Would definitely go back.

Luisa and Lucia. Our family comes from Sardinia. I was born in Alghero, and Lucia was born in Rome, where we have always lived. For us, Sardinia means holidays, but more importantly, it is part of our soul. We got very attached to this place. The house, which has always belonged to our family, has been recently renovated by Lucia, and architect. Luisa, Italian teacher, is in charge of advertising the apartment and welcoming clients.
We have always loved Alghero. When we were just two little girls, we had a sail boat that made us have the most wonderful holidays in our lives. Every year, we come to Alghero with our family and friends who gather together and live with us. We have a nice inflatable boat and love swimming in secluded coves as well as fishing and reading at sunset. In the evening, we all have dinner in the terrace of our house, with my mother, the kids, friends, and the obviously the dog.

What makes this property unique

The view from all the windows and from the terrace makes this apartment so special. In the morning, you will be awoken up by the seagulls. The cormorants clean their feathers on the cliff and someone will pass by riding a bicycle. In the evening, when all tourists will be on the bastion or close to the tower to take a picture of the sunset, you will be on the balcony of the house, having a aperitif and feeling the luckiest person in the world. After sunset, the lights of the fishing boats turn on, and one can listen to the voices of walkers. During dinner, one can talk to friends.
You will enjoy the night, the sound of the sea.
The smells are also wonderful: the smells of the sea and the fish, fresh in the morning, fried at night!
The apartment has the basic furnishing so that the square windows stand out. Enjoy Capo Caccia, the mountains of Bosa, and the beach of Bombarde. The furniture is mainly sand colour, like the walls, slightly pinkish. There are a few colours with the table and chairs that can be used both inside and outside the house. The ceiling is exposed, high, and wooden. The lamps are sea blue. The dishes, glasses, and linen combines with the surrounding colours.
