3 Bedroom 2 Bathroom House With Private Garden In Beautiful Devon Villag

Little Beck is a luxury Dartmoor Cottage, situated in the beautiful Devon village of Christow. The property offers two king sized bedrooms and a spacious twin, all furnished with high quality waffle weave cotton bedding. Both the king rooms are equipped with wall mounted televisions with integrated DVD players. The cottage has two bathrooms finished in natural stone, one featuring a large walk in shower and the other with a centred double bath. Little Beck also features a solid wood kitchen, with natural stone flooring and an eating area. The kitchen is fully equipped with a Range oven, integrated dishwasher and an American style fridge freezer dispensing cool water and ice on those long summer days. The large living/dining room features a wood burning stove and a dining table seating 6. The property is fully equipped with WiFi and has a washing machine and dryer. At the rear is a small south facing garden and at the front another area of garden adjoins the private parking for up to three vehicles. The whole property has been finished to a very high standard with beautiful individual furnishings throughout and this attention to detail extends to the pile of fresh scones and clotted cream which will greet you on arrival!

Smart, comfortable and convenient

Had a lovely 2 week stay at this property. Very well appointed, clean, smart and comfortable. Very handy for visiting the whole area of SE Devon including Dartmoor, the coastline, local towns such as Totnes and also Exeter. Village is very pretty, extremely quiet and the locals are pleasant. We recommend The Artichoke for a drink and the shop stocks the basics. Large supermarket nearby in Kingsteignton for a bigger food shop.

Wow from the minute we arrived

What a delightful, well equipped stunning cottage. Fitted out to an excellent standard.

Perfect location for exploring and long beach walks with the dog. Most places are within half an hour drive.

Very comfortable in peaceful surroundings

Overall very happy with our stay at Little Beck.Very comfortable and spacious in peaceful surroundings.Just a few things that I feel could do with a little attention.No stair gate as mentioned(apparently broken but not replaced during our stay)We did bring our own portable one.A cot provided but no bedding or mattress,which is ok but no mention of this again til I emailed to check there was one to use in place 2 days before.Should be stated you need to bring certain items.And pantry goods were only a few bits left over from previous guests.Garden very private and very safe for young children(again a little attention to detail would make it beautiful)All said a very nice cottage so thank you for a lovely stay.Definately highly recommend this cottage.

Charming, spacious and well appointed.

Our 3 generation family group of 6 really enjoyed our stay at Little Beck, which was just as advertised - spacious, well appointed and cosy! Even in July some days were really chilly and the central heating and woodburning Stove were much appreciated, especially by the members of the family over from the Caribbean.

The enclosed small, rear garden was delightful to sit in and safe for the new puppy, who was unfortunately not old enough to enjoy the adjacent Christow playing field, which, with a skateboard park and tennis courts as well would have been marvelous for older children. 7 year old Chloe and her granny enjoyed it though, finding wild flowers and butterflies in the grassy banks and hedgerows and spotting sheep and cows in the lovely Devon countryside.

Very comfortable. Everything you needed was there.

Six of us were accommodated very easily and very comfortably. Plenty of space and I liked the fact there was a garden for the children to go outside safely. The cottage was well maintained. Beautiful part of the country and the cream tea was a lovely surprise following a difficult journey down.

We all enjoyed our holiday immensely, lots to do and visit in the area. Would recommend to others.

Home away from home

We had an brilliant stay at this lovely house!

Owners were very helpful and allowed us to arrive early. The house was immaculate and very nicely decorated, it had everything we needed.

We went away with two small children and couldn't fault the place. Would definitely stay again, two very happy families! :)

Devon is arguably the most beautiful of the westcountry's counties with its two contrasting coastlines, the north a mecca for surfers and the more tranquil south ideal for families. With its distinctive thatched villages hiding in the folds of rolling green hills, its farming heritage still evident in the herds of dairy cattle and native sheep that graze the open common land, there is nowhere more picturesque or tranquil. The fishing villages that hug the coasts have barely changed over the centuries and look out over beaches of fine sand and characterful harbours. The jewel in the county's crown is Dartmoor National Park.

The village of Christow, just within the eastern boundary of the Dartmoor National Park is ideally situated for exploring this beautiful area. Located in the delightful Teign Valley, the rugged moorland is only a short drive away. There are walks from the doorstep, a number of beaches within easy reach and the historic and well regarded cathedral city of Exeter is only 20 minutes away with its full range of shops and restaurants. The main road links to Cornwall and the South Hams are also easily accessible. Christow itself is a sweet Devon village boasting a shop, post office and traditional pub. Little Beck is situated in the lower part of the village close to the 15th century church and open playing fields where there are 3 modern tennis courts guests can make use of for a small charge.
