Please read also the last part of the description, about air conditioning without air conditioning. CasaGrande is a large and spacious apartment of 180 square meters, on two levels, on the main floor of an ancient Baroque palace in the heart of Rome. CasaGrande has large living rooms and lounges, in rooms with wooden coffered ceilings more than six meters high.
Original paintings and lithographs by renowned contemporary artists decorate the walls, as do large wall tapestries, souvenirs of the owners' travels to the Middle East.
There are four bedrooms, each with its own bathroom.
The bathrooms are simple and basic, but complete with everything. A shower stall is 70x70 cm. It is possible to accommodate normally up to 8 people, 10 with extrabed.
CasaGrande is the right place to stay in Rome for short or long periods, ideal for business stays, even for groups of people. CasaGrande is aimed at those who want to visit Rome without losing time in long journeys. You will be exactly in its center.
CasaGrande is equipped with central heating. There is no air conditioning, but the particular building structure of the palace, typical of the '600 and based on thick walls around the perimeter and inside (some even more than a meter wide) ensures a comfortable temperature in all seasons and keeps the house cool in summer and warm in winter without the use of air conditioning systems. Large ceiling fans cool the air in common areas, smaller ones in bedrooms.

Fantastico

We are a group of friends who love to meet up every so often so it is very important to us that we are able to relax and enjoy ourselves. We didn't want to leave ! The apartment is lovely and very well appointed if you are self-catering. It is very stylish and it is really interesting to be able to enter the huge doors from the street and look towards the communal courtyard. A real slice of history. The flat is very well located for all the main tourist sights which are all in walking distance. Roberto arranged transport to and from the airport. This all went very well including a slight altercation with another driver on our way in just to make us feel really Roman. Thank you so much.

Amazing apartment and location

We had a party of 9 and every one of us commented how incredible the apartment was, the location was brilliant - within walking distance of everything we wanted to see, we never needed to take any transportation. Roberto was always an email away and responded quickly. The apartment was spacious, large and with comfortable bedrooms. They even provided Prosecco on arrival! I would not hesitate to recommend this apartment to groups that are travelling to Rome. A good price as well. Thank you for your hospitality.

Great family vacation house!

Alice and Roberto, the property owners were friendly and responsive. The location is perfect, literally around the corner from Piazza Navona. Early morning walks around the area watching Rome awaken were lovely. This property is perfect for a family vacation. We arrived on Good Friday and shopped in Campo di Fiori or our Easter dinner . The house was large enough for our family of 7 to entertain our Roman family. The living area was comfortable and kitchen was fully equipt. We highly recommend this property.

Casagrande made trip perfect

We could not have been more satisfied with our property. I’ll start with the negative - the beds were not king size as advertised but they worked out just great for everyone. One bedroom bath had a shower that had very low water pressure. On the great side, Casagrande was in a perfect location, giving us the perfect neighborhood and we were able to walk everywhere. We walked to all the sights and each of the unique other neighborhoods. But ours was best. The unit itself was grande in a simple way. It offered everything we could need. Bedrooms were large and private; common area was perfect for gathering at the end of the day to enjoy a glass of wine. The hosts was welcoming and helpful in arranging transportation. Rime was wonderful. Casagrande made it perfect.

What makes this property unique

Casa Grande is a special house. The baroque palace where it is located was built in 1670, together with the S. Agnese church in Agone which overlooks Piazza Navona. The wide spaces, with wooden coffered ceilings taller than 6 metre, the partition on two floors of some of its environments, the fully equipped kitchen separated from the dining room with a large sliding glass door, and many other details, give this house a soul, with its own personality. Thanks to its thick walls, some even one metre thick, it is able to maintain the ideal temperature and therefore it is warm in winter and cool in summer without the need of air-conditioning. Four bedrooms each one with its own bathroom make it very cosy.
