Beautiful 3bdm villa near Dubrovnik

Updated: 25-Oct-2016
This beautiful, rural style, villa is located near Dubrovnik airport

This beautiful, rural style, villa is located near Dubrovnik airport, in quiet village of Mocici. With airport a minute away, beach 2 minutes drive away, this villa provides peace and rest to its guests, just a step away from all major locations.

Villa consists of 3 bedrooms, 3 toilets, spacious living room and kitchen and big garden with swimming pool.

Each room has satelite tv and it´s air conditioned.

Main entrance is from a private parking on north side of the villa. Once youenter downstairs is living room, kitchen and exit to garden with swimming pool. Living room, dining room and kitchen occupy entire ground floor. Living room has tv with satelite tv installed so you can enjoya selection of over 1000 tv channels. Kitchen is fully equipped with all the devices needed. Oven, 4 ring stove, microvave, dish-washer...,basicly all you need. Property is fenced so you have full privacy. Garden is facing south and sun is shining all day long. Around the pool there is enogh space for chairs. Pool has also jetted tub installed.

Upstairs from mainentrance are the bedrooms. All bedrooms are for 2 persons, 2 with xl doublebeds, and one with2 single beds. All are facing south, and the room on the right has a beautiful balcony.

There are 3 toilets inside the house, 2 in bedrooms and one downstairs.

This villa is located in Konavle. Konavle is reminiscent of Tuscany, with it's rolling green hills, speckled with traditional little villages. Visit local restaurants in the valley that serve meat specials and trouts, or go to Cavtat(2 minutes drive) and enjoy seafood. There are all sorts of daytime acctivites in Konavle like horse riding, atv safari, jeep safari, wine tasting, traditional dances show each sunday, water sports in Cavtat...

An easy drive is Dubrovnik, and you can enjoy its history and entertainment, a number of ferries depart from there to nearby islands, as well as the National park, on the Island of Mljet.

Montenegro border is 10 minutes drive away and we suggest visiting bay of Kotor.

Five Stars All Around!!

  • 5 of 5

Spent a fantastic week here in July and everything worked out perfectly. Dulio and his family live right next door and took great care of us. The house is located on a working vegetable farm/vineyard/orchard. We were spoiled with daily deliveries of fresh fruits and vegetables.

The house was spotlessly clean and very spacious. The outside space is definitely the highlight and is beautifully maintained. The pool area and gardens are fantastic with plenty of room to spread out in either the sun or the shade. We enjoyed most meals on the large covered patio.

The Pemo Diskont grocery store is within walking distance and is surprisingly well stocked for a small store.

A rocky cove is accessible with a 25 minute walk to the sea, where snorkeling in the crystal-clear waters is an option. I suggest visiting Old Town Dubrovnik by driving to Cavtat and taking the ferry. This allows you to avoid parking hassles and lots of steps. Also, be sure to book a meal at Agroturizam Konavle-Brautovic located at the far end of the Brautovic family building. Pick a menu featuring either meat or fish and you will not be disappointed. Amazing food and wonderful people!

Lovely peaceful property to relax and enjoy life

  • 5 of 5

We rented this villa for one week in July, 2016 and found it was wonderful for the needs of our extended family of five adults and two children (8 and 11 yrs). We very much appreciated the frequent delivery of fresh fruit and vegetables from the Brautovic family. The property is very well maintained both inside and out. The pool and outside area was a delight for all as we spent most of the time outside. We drove to Cavtat (ten minutes) and then took a ferry to Dubrovnik (40 minutes). Our round trip ticket permitted us to browse the city, enjoy a dinner and return to the ferry. Our family enjoys cooking and we found that the little store within walking distance was a very nice perk. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation at this home and felt that the Brautovic family did all possible to make us feel at home.

Loved it!

  • 5 of 5

Had a really lovely holiday in the gorgeous villa which is a real credit to the Brautovic family! The villa is spotlessly clean and well furnished, we especially appreciated the air con in all the rooms. Beautiful garden and pool area again immaculately kept. Really couldn't fault anything with the property or the area, which was ideal for the airport, Cavtat and Dubrovnik. The correspondence with the family was really helpful before and whilst there and we loved the deliveries of fresh fruit and veg from their allotment. Would without a doubt book again and reccomend to family and friends. We have rented lots of properties over the years in the UK and Europe this is defiantly one of the nicest we have ever stayed!

We stayed here for a week as we had friends getting married in Dubrovnik. We picked this villa as not only was it a good price compared to others in the area but it was also just the right distance from Dubrovnik so it was not too busy but close enough to everything you needed.

The villa itself is fantastic and in excellent condition with lovely grounds and a great pool. It is well kitted out and has everything you need for your stay. The family that own this villa are lovely and helped us out with anything we needed, we were greeted with a platter of bread, cheese and meat and a chilled bottle of wine. I would highly recommend anyone to book this villa we really enjoyed our week and would definitely return in the future. Its location to the airport is ideal but you do not notice any noise or disturbance from planes when you are relaxing in the garden.

The villa is a credit to the owners and surely one of the finest in the Dubrovnik area. Croatia is lovely and when we return we will certainly use this villa again.

Beautiful villa in Mocici

  • 5 of 5

Me and my two sisters and five friends stayed here for a week and did not want to leave! We had an amazing stay in Mocici in this luxury villa!

Dulio and his family who live next door were so attentive and welcoming! When we arrived we were greeted by his daughter Lucijana and his wife. They left us with a platter of cheeses, meat and olives, with some lovely bread and a bottle of wine. The villa was so clean and had all the right facilities for our stay.

Dulio built the villa himself and what a fantastic job he did. The outside area was perfect, the pool, the barbecue and seating area was great. We had lovely nights in and lovely nights out. On the night of our barbecue Dulio very kindly came over and gave us a helping hand on how to get it started and also helped us cook, which was great fun.

Cavtat was a lovely little town near Mocici, only a 15 minute taxi ride. It has lovely little shops and stalls with very unique pretty gifts that are hand made. It also has beautiful restaurants that over look the water so where ever you decide to eat you will have an amazing view regardless.

The old town of Dubrovnik is so stunning, you have to go there wether its to have a stroll, eat out somewhere or walk the old town wall, which we did and it was unreal! The views you get to see are outstanding, if you are afraid of heights don't worry as it is safe to walk around. We all visited a restaurant called Nautika, it is a michelin star restaurant. One of the best restaurant experiences I have ever had! The food and wine was exquisite, the service was amazing and it wasn't a bad price at all! We also got to sail to two of the islands, they were both beautiful and an experience you need to do.

On the night before we left Lucijana suggested the farm house restaurant that is in the village near the villa. We must say that the food was outstanding, so fresh and tasted amazing! The service was incredible and the owners were lovely! You must go if you stay here, as it was an amazing traditional restaurant experience you wouldn't want to miss.

So overall our stay was incredible, I couldn't say enough for you to consider staying here if you were to visit Dubrovnik. Dulio, Lucijana and there family were so attentive and welcoming that we all said we would stay here again with no questions asked!

Thank you for a wonderful stay, Jodie and the rest of us :)

We had a fantastic 2 week stay here, and really didn't want to leave! The villa is lovely, very clean and well looked after by Dulio and his family, who made us extremely welcome. We really appreciated the lovely gifts of fruit and vegetables freshly picked from their garden: aubergines, courgettes, grapes, figs, tomatoes - absolutely gorgeous! There is so much to do in this area, visits to Dubrovnik, Cavtat, Mlini, and further afield. That is if you can drag yourself from the lovely pool and garden.

The villa is located in a lovely quiet village, yet is so convienent. It is just a couple of minutes drive to the airport, yet surprisingly the noise was minimal and we hardly noticed it. There is a small convenience store just five minutes walk away, where you can buy most of your grocery needs incuding a small but very good butchers counter for your BBQ needs. Cavtat, just 5 minutes away by car, is a lovely town in its own right, has a number of restaurants and more shops, and is also where you can catch the boat to Dubvrovnik and a few other local seaside villages, and also take trips further afield. There are several stony beaches in Cavtat, plus the usual watersports activities.

If you have the energy (especially in the heat!!) the walk from Mocici to Catat along the track is lovely, with a diversion down the mountainside to the local 'beach'.

We found on our last day the restaurant at the Hotel Konavle on the main road in Cilipi. This was a great find, and had only been open a few weeks. The food and service were both wonderful, and we wish we had found it sooner.

If you are hiring a car, make sure you get insurance that allows you to cross borders, as this area is surrounded by Montenegro and Bosnia Herzogovina. If you want to travel north, you will have to cross into Bosnia around Neum and then back into Croatia, so will need cross border insurance.

All in all a great place to visit, the villa was fantastic, as were Dulio and family. We hope to return soon, and would definitely recommend.
