About the property

3 Bedroom cottage, stunning views of Pyrénées mountains and Black Mountains

Charming newly renovated cottage situated at the end of the village overlooking the countryside. The village has its own bakery where you can buy fresh bread and croissants in the morning. You are only 3kms from the nearest supermarket. The cottage is on two floors with a garden and french doors leading onto the terrace to the rear of the property. There is private parking at the front of the property. On the ground floor there is an open plan lounge, dining area and kitchen. The sitting area has sofas, chairs, TV, DVD, library and wood burner. The dining area has seating for 6 people.The kitchen is fully equipped with 4 electric burners, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle, coffee machine and breakfast bar. The washing machine is in the pantry area which is enclosed from the kitchen and a good storage area. There is a downstairs toilet.

Upstairs there are two double bedded rooms, one twin bedded room a bathroom and separate toilet. Outside there is a Barbeque and outdoor furniture.

The house is equipped with linen, towels, games, toys, books and tourist information. There are radiators throughout for alternative heating to the wood burner.

Gite moderne et confortable dans village campaniere. Décorer avec gout. Les proprietaires sont très sympas et ils sont au petit soins pour les vacanciers.

Terrace ensoleillée sympa et grand jardin a l'arrière avec table pour déjeuner l'été au frais. Superbes vues devant et a l'arrière la maison.

This cottage is perfectly situated to give you the opportunity to explore the Languedoc region famous for its history of the Pays Cathar with local castles, towns and villages dating back over 800 years. Carcassonne, just 30 minutes, has a golfcourse, and with its UNESCO medieval castle and cobblestoned streets in the old city. The Canal du Midi, now a World Heritage Site is only 2kms from the property. You can use the bikes available to cycle alongside the canal or take a 4 minute car journey. Castelnaudary is a 5 minute car ride, home of the famous cassoulet and has a Monday market. This is where you will find your nearest supermarket. Nearby is Revel which has a fabulous Saturday market. Revel is beside the Black Mountains and there you also have the Lake of St Ferreol where you can go fishing, walking, swimming, take a pedalo on the lake or just sit taking in the view with a picnic. You can try out some wine tasting in the wine growing areas of the Corbière and Minervois and nearer there is Limoux with its Blanquette, a sparkling wine, and the annual Carnival in February.

Further afield you have adventure parks, rafting, caves, sailing, the Pyrénées mountains and the Mediterrenean.

A 30% deposit is requested to confirm the reservation and the balance of the holiday is due 6 weeks before your arrival date.
We ask for a 300€ cash deposit on arrival to cover any breakages or damage which will be returned to you after check out if there has been no damage.
