LOCATION

Forda is a small hamlet lying just outside the village of Croyde and close to the pretty and popular village of Georgeham, Streamways is extremely well positioned for accessing all four of the main surfing beaches in this part of North Devon. Streamways has plenty to offer its guests including a jacuzzi hot tub, surf board storage, outside shower and cabin annex.

PROPERTY

The front lounge is a circular room with a beautifully hand crafted stone hearth in the centre featuring a wood burner. 2 grey corner sofas are nestled either side of the patio doors symetically with a 32'' wall mounted LCD TV, A large dining table and glass cabinet is located on the other side of the central fireplace, creating a delightful grown up dining space for 6-8.

Master Bedroom is decorated in neutral colours with golden subtle tones, This room has a double bed that is dressed with white bed linen with dark brown bedside tables, brown reading lamps, matching chest of drawers, large wardrobe and a grey arm chair for those quieter reflective moments.

Bedroom two has a triple sleeper bunk, white wardrobe with matching bedside table and aqua coloured reading lamp.

Family bathroom comprises of a white bathroom suite with a grey feature wall including a bath, rain shower and mixer shower attachment. A W.C, washbasin, mirror and heated towel rail.

The kitchen is the real centre of the home with its beamed ceiling, fresh white walls, traditional floorboards and beautifully crafted curved countryside green units and wooden worksurface. This stylish kitchen has a two ovens, a gas 8 burner range, fridge freezer with cold drinks dispenser, an additional undercounter fridge, dishwasher, blender and toaster as well as crockery and kitchenware. For the toddlers a selection of plastic plates, tumblers and two high chairs. DAB radio, blackboards for those important shopping lists and a feature traditional rayburn stove (Not operational).

Bedroom three is decorated in a soft lilac that complements the oriental blind, this room has a metal framed double bed, white bedside units with reading lamps and a single wardrobe.

Bedroom four has a white triple sleeper bunk, matching bedside table with a bold red reading lamp, imaginative clothes hanging space and chest of drawers.

Bedroom five is decorated with a blend of crisp whites and a soft apple colour, this room has metal framed matching twin beds, bedside tables with reading lamps and a wardrobe.

Shower room features a large white walk in shower cubicle, wc, washbasin, wall mounted mirror and heated towel rail.

The second lounge has a large vaulted ceiling and impressive wooden beams with a suspended hand crafted driftwood light fixture, this room provides plenty of space as years ago it was used as a village hall, lounge around on one of the three large brown leather sofas. Warm up infront of the big inglenook open fire with safety guard and snuggle down to watch TV or Blu Ray with the 42'' LCD impressive surround sound system, or for further entertainment play with the selection of board games around the two dining tables with seating for 14.

Utility room with cream units, matching splashbacks and stainless steel sink, this room houses the washing machine, microwave, ironing board and an additional freestanding freezer.

Bedroom Six "The Cabin" - Enjoy the beautifully styled private cabin in the garden, this perfect hideaway gives you total seclusion from the main house with a double bed and bedside tables resting against a partition wall decorated with a bold lime green and oriental bird wallpaper that provide a harmonising place to relax and admire the wooden beams and large cream floral ceiling light that hangs above. A chest of drawers is nestled beside the large floor to ceiling windows that look out over the rear garden connecting you with nature. Accessed behind the 2 way partition is a large walk-in shower cubicle, w.c, washbasin, mirror and vanity unit.

Optional 2x single guest bed hire is available to sleep 16 in total.

OUTSIDE SPACE

Streamways provides ample opportunity for exploration with its outside space, including the raised sun deck, lower patio with hot tub, an upper terrace and two gardens laid to lawn there is a spot perfect for pleasing every member of your family. The outside areas and gardens are all fenced in and enclosed for your privacy, as well as for the security of your dogs & the little ones.

The raised sun deck at the rear of the property provides a great sunbathing spot or reflective time with a cheeky glass of wine while relaxing on the comfortable outside lounge furniture provided. Below is a small garden laid to lawn with a hot & cold outside shower and bike, surfboard and wetsuit storage.

Beside the cabin is a larger lawned area where the kids can play and the lower terrace space has patio furniture and an optional jacuzzi hot tub for soothing tired muscles after a day spent surfing North Devon's famous waves!

Unwind around the wooden patio set and watch family and friends come together on the sunset-facing upper terrace when someone shouts "BBQ!"

A STEP INTO HISTORY

Built in 1907 by George Style a reputed millionaire who gifted the house to the parish as a drill hall (Village hall) and miniature rifle range which was short lived as in the early part of 1920 it was converted into a dwelling by an artist who exhibited at the Royal Academy in Paris salon and in the Provinces, In 1927 the house was sold and renamed "Streamways" because of the sound of the valley stream and its legacy lives on....
