Beautiful cottage in stunning countryside

  • 5 of 5

We loved this cottage! It was warm, cozy, and extremely comfortable. It has been beautifully renovated and decorated, with comfortable bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a stunning modern kitchen. The views over the countryside are are lovely and beds were very comfy. The surrounding area is beautiful and Edale village and the Pennine Way are a very short and pleasant walk away. We very much appreciated all the information about walks and local sights. Lunch at the Cheshire Cheese pub along the road was one of the highlights of our trip to the UK! We are so happy we chose this cottage to rent - our few days here were so peaceful and magical.

Julie was extremely friendly and helpful, and a pleasure to deal with. She couldn't have been more helpful - thank you so much!

Will stay again

  • 4 of 5

Really good place, great views and perfect for accessing the Peak District. Great value for money, and if you like taking a bath this place has got a proper bathroom and a proper bath. Loved the fire and also the fact that the owner had provided all of the necessary wood and coal...or at least I hope they had! I will go again if they will have me. I recommend taking a few candles for slightly more mellow lighting.

Also the bed linen was really nice, that's important to me.

Lovely comfortable cottage, stunning views.

  • 5 of 5

Lovely well equipped comfortable cottage, with amazing views from all of the bedroom windows, and the lounge. My daughter had her wedding ceremony at a venue in Edale, and the cottage was ideally positioned for the short journey to and from the venue. Wifi was strong as there is no mobile phone signal, so that was fine. I'm sure that we will return to the cottage for local walks in the summertime.

13 Hope Road

  • 4 of 5

The cottage is much more spacious than it actually looks from the outside. It is very tastefully decorated and all appliances works as expected. Mobile phone signal in area was very weak to non existence but this was overcome by the wifi in the cottage which worked flawlessly. We received good communication from the property manager and we were provided with useful information about the cottage, Edale and places to visit. We were lucky that the weather held and we had a wonderful couple of days in the Peak District. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at 13 Hope Road and would definitely consider booking this cottage again for our next visit to the Peak District.

Lovely cottage in fantastic scenery

  • 4 of 5

With our family of 5 we had a comfortable stay in this cosy cottage.

We felt welcome from the moment we arrived and with the email contact ahead including tips for activities and practical information we were well prepared to make the best out of these 10 wonderful days.

We enjoyed the rich nature, laying in front of the doorstep. It is possible to start a variety of hiking tours directly from the house, leading to fantastic panoramic views.

A visit of the picturesque villages in the neighborhood or a guided tour in one of the caverns offer a nice variation for a rainy day or sore muscles ;-)

Delightful cottage

  • 4 of 5

Just spent 3 days in this lovely cottage. This well equipped comfortable cottage is in an ideal location for walkers and cyclists to explore the surrounding area of Hope and Castleton. The views from the lounge are amazing. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you might need, including washing machine and dishwasher. Many thanks to the owner Julie for ensuring everything was sorted before our visit and during. Nothing was too much trouble. Would certainly recommend this property to friends and family.
