Beautiful traditional Provencal MAS (farmhouse) built in1739 set in extensive grounds, 2 km from the village of Saint DIDIER.

This magnificent STONE MAS with walls 1m thick is typical of the region. Set within it’s own grounds in a secluded location you can really get away from it all hearing only the birds in the almond, olive, pine and oak trees that surround you.

The LARGE SWIMMING POOL has plenty of sun loungers and parasols so everyone can relax and soak up the sun.

Very well equipped house

Great house, extremely well equipped, lots of space, good kitchens, fab pool. Good bbq. Comfy beds, nice linen & towels. Very close to pernes de la fontaine and lots of other lovely spots. Highly recommended. We were a group of 6 adults and 4 children.

Lovely spacious well-equipped house in Provence

Really lovely house set in a quiet situation amid olive groves with four large bedrooms and loads of space both indoors and out. There are large lounges both upstairs and downstairs, dining room and kitchen inside the house: a huge summer kitchen open to the air but shaded, and substantial private grounds with swimming pool. We stayed in November, when the wood burning stove came into its own and the selection of books and dvds to suit all tastes were a god -send! It is tastefully decorated and furnished; and beds are very comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped. Location is handy for Avignon, Aix, and wonderful countryside and hill towns round Mont Ventoux and the Luberon. St Didier is maybe 20 minutes walk or 5 minutes by car - nice small town with boulangeries, grocery store, bar and restaurants and the really picturesque hill town of Venasque is not much further. The complimentary bottles of wine were a nice touch and the welcome pack contained all the instructions we needed to make our stay hassle-free.

We had a fantastic stay at the house when visiting this October. Beautiful house with all we needed

We visited for 5 days in early October, the weather was perfect and the house was gorgeous. Full of character, it was an ideal place to get away from the city, we especially loved the variety of places at the property to sit to eat, breakfast outside, lunch in the summer kitchen and then cosy dinners in the house. It was also hot enough to lounge by the pool during the day and then relax by the fire inside of an evening. The beds were also extremely comfortable! The surrounding area provided lots of activities, highly recommend the kayak trips with Kayak Vert in Fontaine dear Vaucluse, the Sunday antiques market in Carpentras and dinner at the vineyard Domaine La Camarette. All in all a great trip and will be returning next year, highly recommended!

A fabulous house, a true haven close to beautiful villages and places of interest.

We stayed at the Mas the second week of September 2018, flying from London Heathrow to Marseille, and driving the short hour and 15 minutes to the house. The owners have clearly put a great deal of effort into making this a home from home- everything one needs is there. The beds are incredibly comfortable and the crisp linen and towels are the highest quality. The pool and loungers are a delight, and the garden is charming. There are lots of rooms in which one can retreat, be alone or together depending on mood, and the Summer kitchen is lovely. We sat outside for breakfast every day, had table tennis competitions and swam several times a day to cool off. There are amazing walks close by, and Mont Ventoux is worth the drive along winding roads to the summit. There are beautiful towns within a short drive from the house, Pernes being one of them, and there are two boluangeries, a butcher, grocers shops and restaurants in the closet town of St Didier. We had a truly perfect experience staying here and will definitely be coming back. The beauty of this part of Provence is that it is REAL. There are barely any tourists, just predominantly locals, and so one gets a true French experience rather than being in a tourist trap. We took a stunning two hour kayaking trip along the Sorgue, details of which we left in the visitors' book. It was a great way to spend a morning, slowly travelling on clear, cool green water, with fish below, and kingfishers above, in the trees. We would highly recommend that, and it was all incredibly easy to book, and professional. So much to explore and do, but more importantly, the beautiful and comfortable house is waiting when one returns from adventures. Cannot wait to come back.. Paul and Sonja- London, UK.

Wonderful stay in gorgeous house with pool in tranquil locatation

We loved everything about our week’s holiday in this quintessentially Provençale house. Set in a tranquil location surrounded by oak trees, the house is only a five minute drive from the gorgeous village of St Didier with all the shops you need, a couple of restaurants and the weekly traditional market. This house is one of those rare finds where the owners have thought of everything to make for a truly relaxing stay. We all commented on how comfortable we found the mattresses on the beautiful wood and metal framed beds, with the high thread count white linen and fluffy towels giving a luxury feel. The light and airy kitchen is a very well- equipped with ample crockery and glasses for a big party, a Nespresso machine, microwave etc. It was useful to have a washing machine and dryer. All the thoughtfully decorated rooms are generously proportioned, but this house also has a lovely, homely feel. There are plenty of seating areas both inside and in the garden, including a gorgeous summer kitchen for outside dining. Here we ate long lunches in the shade, and enjoyed sheltered evening barbecues. There is even a fridge and ice maker in the outside kitchen, which meant we didn’t have to go far to locate another bottle of the wonderful local organic rosé we bought from the wine cooperative round the corner from the house! Breakfast was usually taken at another outside seating area in a morning sun trap at the front of the house. The outside space at this house is even more generous than the website photos suggest. The pool is huge and surrounded by gorgeous pine, olive and almond trees. We played table tennis in the games room, boules in the garden, and spent long hours by the pool on the most comfortable of sun loungers. As well as regular visits to St Didier we also visited the Sunday morning flea market in Carpentras, and the pretty towns of Mazan, Pernes-les-Fontaines and Gordes (a little further afield). We loved the walks we did around Venasque, which is a pretty town with panoramic views. There are many restaurants to choose from locally, and all the recommendations in the welcome pack provided by the owners were outstandingly good. I would recommend this house as a fantastic base from which to explore the area. We found it hard to tear ourselves away from the relaxing ambience of the house and garden, so there is still plenty for us to see when we go back for another stay, and we definitely want to rent this house again in the future!
