First rental. Old barrel-shaped 16th century barn that has been abandoned for more than a century and recently renovated this year. An Open Space of 60 m2 with spacious and modern bathroom. Equipped kitchen. A very large terrace with a breathtaking view of the valley. Located in the old medieval village of Polino on a rock at the edge of the ravine, with a huge terrace and breathtaking views of the valley and the surrounding mountains. Lost in the middle of nature and yet only 25 minutes from the city of Terni which offers all the amenities. The apartment has a very comfortable parking in front of the front door. A space full of history and immersed in a unique atmosphere of old stones. The building is part of a group of old stone houses. The atmosphere is very suggestive. Ideal starting point to discover the magic Umbria. With the sentinella You will have the sensation from your terrace to be at the bow of a boat. The space has been laid out so as to offer an authentic period feeling with optimal comfort. New spacious bathroom, equipped kitchen.

Das echte Italien
Wir genossen unseren Aufenthalt in dem wunderbaren und charaktervollen Studio bei Piero in Polino. Frisch saniert und großzügig, auch das Badezimmer mit großer Dusche, WC, Bidet und Doppel-Lavabo – zu zweit hatten wir sehr viel Platz. Die lauschige private Terrasse mit Sonne vom Morgen bis Abend haben wir oft genutzt. An heißen Tagen bleibt es im Appartement angenehm temperiert, in der Übergangszeit sind dann wegen des kühlen Bodens Pantoffeln zu empfehlen. Piero ist sehr freundlich, unkompliziert, weiß viel zu erzählen und hat viele gute Tipps. Bei Fragen haben wir zudem immer schnell per WhatsApp Antwort erhalten. Polino ist ein ruhiges und vom Tourismus noch verschontes kleines Bergdorf. Die Menschen sind zurückhaltend, tauen aber auf. Ein paar Worte Italienisch sind sehr hilfreich, auch für den Einkauf bei Vittoria im kleinen Dorfladen, wo fast alles für den täglichen Bedarf zu finden ist. In der entfernten Nachbarschaft gibt es Hunde und die kann man immer wieder Mal hören, auch am Morgen – das kann stören. Das Dorf ist ein guter Ausgangsort für vielseitige Ausflüge in die Region. Umbrien, auch das „Grüne Herz Italiens“ genannt, bietet eine stimmige, abwechslungsreiche Landschaft, die ganz besonders von Mai bis Juni mit einer schönen Blütenpracht aufwartet – beispielsweise in Castellucio di Norcia. Zweiradfahrer/innen finden viele Straßen mit wenig Verkehr, die meisten Straßen befinden sich auch in einem recht guten Zustand – außer jener über den Pass oberhalb von Polino. Von Terni erreicht man das Zentrum von Rom mit dem Zug in nur einer Stunde: sehr zu empfehlen, da bequem, preiswert, schnell, zuverlässig und man kommt mitten im Zentrum von Rom an. In die vielen schönen Dörfer und Städte der Region kommt man am besten mit einem nicht zu großen Fahrzeug, denn die Gassen und Parkplätze sind knapp bemessen. Für uns waren es wunderbare, entspannte Ferien, auch wegen des schönen, gepflegten Studios bei Piero.
