Fare no Tehau means House of Peace. The home is owned by a Tahitian woman who lives most of the year in Hawai`i. Fare no Tehau is a home that is rented out to those seeking an authentic Tahitian experience with all the comforts of home. A thatch roof, beautiful native hardwoods and full sized, fully equipped kitchen with standard refrigerator/freezer, gas stove/oven together with utensils, plates, cups and glasses. Two full baths and comfortable beds will greet you. The home is located on the water side of the road, with a gorgeous orange/green mountain view, with two docks sitting on the marina, in an exclusive gated community on the island of Moorea: the Jewel of the South Pacific. Moorea is a five minute plane ride or twenty minute ferry ride from the capital city of Papeete.
The marina on which the home sits leads into the sparkling lagoon (a short kayak ride away) the neighborhood is quiet, a fine French restaurant is right outside the front gate of the community (a grocery store is right outside the other entry gate) and those who have visited most often say: 'we can't wait to come back!' The yard has papaya and lime trees, fishing is great in both the marina on which the house sits or in the lagoon. There are two boat docks at the house and a kayak is available for your exclusive use!
The home is on the northwest corner of Moorea island, the leeward and dryer side of the island. If you just want to get away from it all, this is the place to get to! Please google 'Fare no Tehau' for our other sites with more photos!
