About the property

Right on Passeig de Gracia only a few meters from Plaza de Catalunya

The Paseo de Gracia B apartment is a 90sqm high quality rental and one of five properties we manage in this exclusive building.

It is located right on this gorgeous and the city's wealthiest avenue. Here on Passeig de Gracia is where all the famous designer brands have their stores. Plaça de Catalunya (the main square in Barcelona and center core of the city) as well as the Gothic quarter and Las Ramblas are only a stone throw away from the apartment. Famous sights such as Gaudi’s La Pedrera (Casa Mila) or Casa Battló are just a few meters up the street. The location is as central as it is exclusive.

The building itself counts as one of the most beautiful ones in this area. It has been constructed in the year 1890. Next to other features, the beautiful marble entrance has been conserved and maintained and captivates every visitor.

The living room of this apartment is spacious, faces Passeig de Gracia and even has a balcony from where the visitor can overview the avenue down to Placa de Catalunya. Further on the living room is equipped with two comfortable sofas, a big flat-screen TV and a DVD player. One of the two sofas converts in one easy movement into a comfortable double bed. Also in the living room there is a desk with chair which comes in handy in case some work needs to be done.

The two bedrooms are situated on both opposite ends of the apartment.

The master suite has a queen-sized canopy bed and a large cupboard. The guests have access to the balcony with views of the Paseo de Gracia. The ensuite bathroom, with a jacuzzi-style tub and shower also comes with double sinks, WC and bidet.

The second bedroom offers a twin-sized trundle bed (see pictures) and a spacious cupboard. The bedroom can be used as a single room or, when pulling out the second bed as a twin room. Right next to this bedroom is the second bathroom which is accessible from the long hallway.

Next to the living room is the dining area with space for up to 6 persons. The kitchen which one accesses from the long hallway next to the dining area is fully equipped with everything one would require to prepare and enjoy a meal in the apartment. Further on at the guest’s disposal are fridge, freezer, oven, stove, washer, dryer, dish washer, toaster, coffee maker, kettle as well as an iron and an iron board.

In general:

The apartment and the area are safe. The building has a doorman as well as security cameras in the entrance area. The entrance door of the building, as well as the apartment door are equipped with security locks. There is also a safty box installed in the apartment.

The Area surrounding the Apartment;

The guest staying at the Passeig de Gracia B apartment will be assured easy access to this lively Mediterranean city and will find that this apartment is a great spot from which to map out daily jaunts and from which to explore all that this fantastic city has to offer.

Most of Barcelona’s famous spots of interest such as Gaudi’s La Pedrera, the Picasso museum, the Cathedral, Las Ramblas with the well known Boqueria fresh food market, the old town with the gothic quarter and El Borne as well as the harbour are reachable within a few minutes walking (no transportation needed). If public transportation is needed for example to visit Gaudi’s park Guell or Sagrada Familia (the symbol of the city), there would be a metro station literally right in front of the building’s entrance with access to 3 lines (L2, L3 and L4). The L4 (yellow line) would bring guests also to the beaches Barceloneta, Port Olimpic/ Ciutadella, and Poble Nou. The line L3 (green line) would bring the guest for example to Barca’s impressive football stadium CAMP NOU. The underground metro in Barcelona is cheap and fast. There would also be the option to take a taxi which in Barcelona is also cheaper than in most western European cities. Taxis are circulating in this area 24h. There is a taxi stop right at the next street corner (15 meters from the apartment). To get to the beach by taxi from the apartment would take about 10 minutes (depending on the traffic) and would not cost more than 7,- Euros.

During the check-in procedure our guests will receive detailed explanations about everything that is useful and important to know when visiting this great city. We have a selection of restaurant and tapas bar recommendations prepared and will advise where to find the next grocery store, about shop opening hours, etc.. Excellent apartment in the heart of Barcelona!

We had a great time in Barcelona staying at this beautiful apartment. The location was on yhe fancy Paseig de Garcia street with tons of restaurants and shopping nearby. Metro stop right in front of the building. Some of the best architecture a block away. The property manager gave us an excellent orientation and provided us with a tip and recommendation binder. Very clean apartment with washer and dryer. We will definitely come back to this Barcelona and highly recommend it.

Excellent property

Well maintained property in a fabulous location. Highly recommended. Marcel took time to explain mechanics of apartment, also locations of attractions in city. Easy and prompt communication with him. The maps and books in the apartment helped. Apartment looks like photographs, clean and had convertors for people from overseas. Being on this lovely street and having metro right outside is really a huge plus. Can potentially walk to most sights / places that visitors want to see in this wonderful city. Thank you Marcel!

Ideal location. Fantastic property

Stayed 4 nights in April. 2 adults and three children. Great communication and orientation to apartment with Marcel. The apartment was spotless. Location is ideal. Can walk to Gothic quarter in a few minutes. Close to Metro, groceries, markets, shops and restaurants. Some street noise on the Friday night but nothing major.

Would highly recommend this place and definitely would stay here again.

Great place!

Our family stayed here in late March, great place, lots of room and very close to many attractions in Barcelona. They also set up a driver to bring us right from the airport to the flat.

We would stay here again!

This was our third visit to Barcelona and we decided to stay in an apartment this time as there were 3 of us. The photos don’t do the property justice. It is lovely, comfortable and spacious. The location is perfect- on a main street in Eixample, just a block from plaza Catalunya. Marcel and his lovely wife took great care of us, providing detailed and helpful information. Marcel even saved us from a small taxi disaster on departure day. I don’t want this place to become too popular because there is no where else I would want to stay in Barcelona.

Lovely apartment in a fabulous location!

Marcel, the owner, could not have been nicer! We (3 women in their 60's) arrived early, very worn out and ragged. He did everything he could to get us in early so we could rest. He met us at the door exactly on time and showed us how to operate the safe, washer & dryer, showers, thermostat, etc., and gave us the keys. He arranged for a taxi to pick us up at the apartment to take us to the train station one day (as we made a trip to Valencia) as well as on departure day. Taxis were right out front waiting on us and on time.

Location: it is located center city....2 blocks from Gaudí's masterpiece, Casa Batlló...a MUST see! Casa Milà is only a few blocks further. A grocery store (which is in the bottom of a very large department store, El Corte Inglés) is 2 blocks away. The BEST restaurant for Tapas in Barcelona, Ciudad Condal, is 1 block away on the backside of the apartment. You can walk to La Rambla in 15 minutes. There are many high-end shops and quick places to grab breakfast or lunch all around. There is even an Apple store 2 blocks away (which was very helpful when one of us lost our cell phone)!

Apartment: located in a beautiful building, the 2-bedrooms and 2-baths made it perfect for us. The large bedroom has a queen bed which sits fairly low. The bathroom attached to this bedroom has 2 sinks which was perfect! The other bedroom is very small and the bed is more like a cot but worked perfectly for one of us. There is a bathroom right outside the door of this bedroom located in the hall. Both bathrooms were beautiful as you can see from the pictures.

It was great having a kitchen with fridge and washer/dryer and living room to have wine and cheese and sit around to discuss the day. There is a small balcony just off the living room which overlooks the busy street. Great views from this balcony!

Amenities: both bathrooms had 2 small bottles of shower gel/shampoo and 2 rolls of toilet paper. If you want bar soap, tissues, and/or conditioner, bring some or buy them, as well as washcloths. There were converters there so that was helpful as we needed a few more than what we brought. There were also 2 detergent pods and clothespins for the washer (but no fabric sheets). In the kitchen, there is a coffee pot, tea pot, and toaster as well as dishes, glasses, wine glasses, etc.

Suggestions: if you are there for only a short stay, I highly recommend seeing these 3 things:

1) Sagrada Familia, 2) Casa Batlló, and 3) Park Güell.
