3 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom Bungalow Surrounded By Scenic Walks And Lofty Munros

A spacious lounge with log/coal fire and views across the glen leads into the hallway to access the very large, recently installed kitchen and dining room. There is a shower room with WC and wash-hand basin and a separate bathroom with shower, wash-hand basin & WC. We also have three bedrooms, a king, and two double bedrooms. Off the kitchen is the utility room with laundry and drying equipment. Outside the garden separates the property from the forest and shields the house from the road.

About Mike & Ros @ The Beeches

We both grew up in Scotland, Ros in Aberdeen while I started off in Dundee then spending my teens in the eastern Highlands. After I'd moved to Aberdeen, Mum's career took her to this more southerly area of the Highlands. While she worked here and after she retired, we visited frequently, as much to enjoy the peace and quiet as to have a family catch-up,

Why Mike & Ros @ The Beeches chose Fort William & Lochaber

So, when Mum decided that she needed something smaller, we settled on holiday lets as the ideal way to keep our connection with the village and share it with other visitors who have enjoyed the area as much as us.

While we've visited many far-flung corners of the globe, there's nothing like the grandeur of the Scottish Highlands or the welcoming hospitality to be found here. Yes it rains, a lot, but the ever-changing moods of the glens and mountain-sides, not to mention good waterproofs, make it so worthwhile.

What makes this bungalow unique

For 25 years now, we've watched the birds and squirrels feed on the rowan tree by the front window, hiked up to Loch Lundie behind the house through all all kinds of weather and enjoyed a warm welcome in the village and hotel.

Hidden from the road and perched up high, the house is a tranquil oasis with views across he glen. You can spend the day sight-seeing, bagging Munro's or ambling around the glen. Whichever takes your fancy, you can look back on it as you sit in front of a roaring fire or in the group-friendly kitchen-dining room.

Perfect house for our trip in the Highlands!

We had a great time at the Beeches, the house was lovely, very big and well equipped for all our needs! The fireplace in the living room is the heart of the house, we loved our evenings spent by the roaring fire!

The area is lovely, although you do need a car to be able to go out and visit places!

Mike was very helpful when I called and asked questions about the area! He also recommended some restaurants, very helpful, thank you.

Bell, the lady who looks after the house, was very kind and also helped us with any questions we had! Also the biscuits were delicious, thank you Bell!

All in all, a great stay for our family!

Christmas at the Beeches

We spent an excellent Christmas break at the Beeches. The house is ideally located, super clean, comfortable and cosy. Prior to our visit to Scotland, Mike and Ros were really helpful and we had a lovely surprise on arrival with a big box of chocolate and presents waiting for us on the kitchen table. The house was even decorated tastefully with Christmas decorations and a Christmas tree. The kitchen is well equipped to cook anything you can wish for and Mike and Ros have really thought of anything you could need whilst away from home. Bell, the housekeeper, came to visit us twice to ensure we were comfortably settled in. Overall, a highly recommended place to stay to explore the Highlands with top class service and I hope we will have the opportunity to return (my daughter wants to return with some friends or family and my little boy didn't want to leave at all!)

Wonderful stay for families

The Beeches at Invergarry is beautiful. The perfect stay for familes if u are wanting to explore the highlands of Scotland. Peaceful and quiet with a lovely walk through the bushlands behind u. The Invergarry pub just down the road had beautiful food as does the Boathouse restaurant in Fort Augustus. The house is huge and has everything u need for no matter how short or long your stay is. Belle the housekeeper is a lovely lady that makes u feel at home. Fantastic price as well. LOVED IT!!!!

Location was perfect for day trips to Inverness and Isle of Skye.

This was a great location to reach several great locations. We managed to drive to the top of Isle of Skye for a short hike on Quirang, stopping at Eilean Donan Castle, and Portree. On the second day we were able to reach Inverness, stopping at Urquhart Castle.


We really appreciated Bell meeting us at the property and helping us get settled.

Property itself:

It was a bit difficult to find in the dark, since it was up a small road behind two other houses. We traveled in October, which was expected to be a cold period. There was very minimal heat on/working when we arrived. We had to use a considerable about of time to heat working in all the rooms. That was not a positive experience. It would have been better if the housekeeper (Belle) checked things out and warmed it up before we arrived.

The kitchen was fully equipped. The bedding and towels were clean.

Relaxing home beautifully placed

Wonderful relaxing time spent in a clean, really well equipped home. Lovely local walks and well placed for visiting the Caledonian canal; Loch Ness; Fort Augustus; Nevis Centre; Ben Nevis (3 of our party made it to the top) and further afield. The house has everything you could need including good variety of games to keep the children happy; maps; local interest books and a well equipped kitchen. Mike, Ros and Bell were extremely helpful and friendly and gave excellent easy to follow directions for finding the property and good local advice for shopping and eating, try the pub beside the locks in Fort Augustus. We would definitely recommend staying here and hope to return some day

very clean kitchen well equipped

The property was spotless the kitchen had every implement needed to cook ,lovely walks in the direct area very quiet and lots of wildlife the owners are very helpful .
