We had a lovely time, a great place for the kids as we went on walks and explored the beach.

We had spent a few days at the Cottage last year and decided to come back again and the reasons for that are that it is nicely positioned down close to the harbour. The cottage has character and is decorated to a high standard but you don’t feel that you can’t have the kids with you. The showers are great, the beds are a good size and comfy. The kitchen has a terrific fridge freezer and is kitted out with everything you could need. The corner couch and fire in the living room make it a cozy place to relax and watch the tv or read. Helen is great on communication and makes sure that the place is spotless for when you arrive. We love it.

Attention to detail, a warm welcome and fond farwell

  • 5 of 5

We stayed a long weekend, my wife myself and our young daughter. Despite it being over several floors, the cottage worked well.

It was very comfortable and clean. Lots of space with two good sized bedrooms and two bathrooms. The cottage was in a great location close to the waterfront and aminities. Upon leaving, I had left a work shirt behind. Helen got this sent straight away and I received it a few days later, washed and pressed. Going the extra mile does exist. Thank you and we look forward to returning. Kim

A Cosy Nook in the East Neuk

  • 5 of 5

The cottage looks small from the outside but inside there is ample room with a welcoming hallway, dining kitchen, seperate lounge and two large bedrooms; one en-suite. The main bathroom is large, with a bath and overhead shower, meaning no queue to get ready in the morning.

The house has been sympathetically renovated and decorated to a high standard, so is comfortable and cosy without feeling cluttered.

The kitchen is well appointed and stocked and we really appreciated the basics provided for hot drinks, milk and biscuits on our arrival.

There was plenty of space for we four adults to be together and apart. The bedrooms have lots of hanging space and drawers for clothes and equipment. The rack in the hallway was handy for shoes, coats and hats and the laundry room was a bonus. There is also a nicely kept rear garden.

The house is located near all the facilities of the village but was quiet and peaceful. The Fife Coastal Path is easily accessed with pleasant walks right on your doorstep.

Our host provided clear instruction on how to access the key and was easily contactable during our stay but the house was easy to use and all our needs catered for.

St Monans is a lovely village and provided a perfect base for our visit to the East Neuk. Thanks for a lovely stay.
