Overview

About the property

It can comfortably accommodate four people and three more on the two sofa beds in the living room and a rollaway with latex mattress.

It is located in the village that bears the name of Aurora, the most multicultural area of Turin, a 10-minute walk from the old town and the famous market of Porta Palazzo and is adjacent to the ancient Borgo Dora along the cobblestone streets which takes place all Saturdays the market vintage Balon and where are typical restaurants and small bars with outdoor area.

Near the river Dora, along which branches off a long bike path that leads directly to the river park Colletta, enjoys a good view over the roofs of Turin and the hill and, on this, the Basilica of Superga architect Juvarra.

Being part of a multi-ethnic neighborhood offers a choice of restaurants and delis offering Indian, North African, Senegalese, Chinese. Within 100 meters there is a discount supermarket Lidl.

For those arriving by car parking is free on the street or, for a fee (from € 5 to € 10 depending on the machine and stay) in the underground at number on the side.

Of course one of the biggest advantages is its proximity to the Old Town, the Roman Quarter - so called because it is the square shape of the surface on which it was installed the first Roman fort - which inizo from Porta Palazzo and can be reached in less than 10 minutes walk.

The Roman Quarter is a very convenient starting point to visit Turin mainly because in the center gather the major tourist attractions and because all are within a short time walk easily through the pedestrian zones. Via Garibaldi (the first pedestrian street of Turin and the most famous shopping street), starting from square-laws, you can reach the station of Porta Nuova walk exclusively through pedestrian crossing Piazza Castello and along, optionally, via Roma (other famous shopping street) in the arcades to come across Piazza San Carlo (the so-called 'living room of Turin' too pedestrian) or the two pedestrian streets in recent institution Lagrange and Carlo Alberto, the beginning of which stands the Egyptian Mueso (the second in the world after Cairo).

In the square of Slovekian, called Porta Palazzo because of Porta Palatina, vestiges of one of the four that surrounded the Roman settlement, takes place every morning and Saturday all day the eponymous market (the largest open market in Europe ) where they divide various arree: an area dedicated to the traditional fruit and vegetable market, the sale of another proddotti peasants cultivated in the countryside of the outskirts of Turin, two covered markets for meat and delicatessen, an entire building dedicated to the sale of fresh fish and one for the sale of clothing.

Even the Mole Antonelliana is easily reached from Piazza Castello, walk under the arcades of Via Po. This landmark building, symbol of Turin, initially commissioned architect Antonelli from the Jewish community to be a synagogue houses the Museum of Cinema (as in the Italian cinema was born in Turin).

Also from Castle Square, at the end of Via Po is the vast and airy Piazza Vittorio Veneto (the largest arcaded square without monuments of Europe) from which opens a marvelous view of the hill of Turin, in the foreground , beyond the Po, the Church of the Great Mother and, higher up, the convent of the Capuchin friars (Monte dei Cappuccini). Between Piazza Vittorio and the Great Mother, connected by the bridge Vittorio Emanuele I, there is the Po and the famous river walk called Murazzi (until a few years ago one of the sounds of night life, teeming with nightlife and currently Project Restart) from where the two boats Valentino and Valentina (on which you can book, lunch or dinner) that runs along the River Park Valentino almost to Moncton and back.

Adjacent to Borgata Aurora there is the already mentioned Borgo Dora where every Saturday takes place the flea market of Balôn and every second Sunday of the month the antiques market Gran Balon. Antique stores and junk shops, small bars with tables dot the small cobbled streets. Borgo Dora is a very characteristic, made of buildings dating back to the '600, site of the first manufacturing industry Torinese, also called Balôn par excellence since it took place here at the end of' 700, the first experiences of aerostatic flight, just six months after those of the Montgolfier brothers. And in honor of this fact by a couple of years has been a balloon mechanism implemented that seats up to 30 people, the HiFlyer, rising up to 150 feet high, secured to the ground by a steel cable driven by an electric motor, providing a breathtaking view of Turin. In the square in front of the balloon rise buildings of 'former military arsenal (which now houses the School Holden Baricco) and the former powder magazine, now the SERMIG, the charitable work of Ernesto Oliviero, the Arsenal of Peace open to the public. Also in this area is available on the Cortile del Maglio, the area of the former arsenal where the place was huge mallet with which he was beaten the hot steel, whose arm is still at the center of this courtyard surrounded by shops, a Lebanese restaurant and a Cuban bar.

Appartement agréable, bien situé

  • 4 of 5

Semplice accogliente e funzionale.

  • 5 of 5

Appartement "vintage"

  • 4 of 5

  • 5 of 5

  • 4 of 5
