A beachfront villa, in the heart of the nature reserve park with truly breathtaking views. Turquiose waters set right on the best beach of the island in 3hectares of tropical gardens.

The villa has a 52 year history in the foremost location on the beach. 3 terraces with magnificent views of Jandia beach. Fuerteventura has excellent all year round sunshine. Perfect for a relaxing holiday any time of year.

It is all about the location

The location can´t get much better than this, the property is right on the Risco del Paso beach, and one of the top windsurf clubs is just 50 meters away. These are 3 properties next to one another, make sure you know which one you are booking, as it is not totally obvious from the advert. The property on the left side as you are facing the sea seems to be the biggest one. Apart from your two possible neighbours, and a couple of houses in a nearby complex, there is nothing else, no shops, bars or restaurants, just sea, sand, a beautiful star studded sky, and total silence at night. The property was clean when we arrived. Communication with the managers was good, and they were fast to response to a few issues we had. The property we were in was a studio room and had few comforts: no toaster, TV, microwave or even breakfast bowls. This came as no surprise, and you don´t absolutely need them if you spend most of your time on the beach, or away exploring the island, but they would be nice to have. WiFi is on demand only, and the signal is weak. The bathroom gave off a sewage odour. The (small) fridge was so noisy we had to unplug it at night. There is no doubt that the inside of the property and the common areas would improve enormously with just a small investment in upgrading and maintenance. With a little more care these could be spectacular holiday rentals because their location is so good. Breakfast in the terrace is just wonderful.

So, if you want to windsurf or kitesurf while in the island, as was our case, this is probably your place, a simple place off the beaten tourist track. After a couple of days we settled in a routine and we would not want to be anywhere else. However, if you are looking for a comfortable place within walking distance of shops and bars you might as well stay clear of this property.

Stunning setting and location let down by mediocrity (and terrible weather)

This is the most stunning site on Fuerteventura. About 200m from the exceptional beach, you simply cannot find a better location. I've tried. I know. This is the top. Once you arrive, you don't need to leave. No driving and parking at beaches. It is a small hamlet of 8 houses. The beach car park gets busy, but the beach is so huge, it always seems empty.

In normal summer circumstances, this apartment might be just right. But we had bad luck. Our February stay coincided with a horrendous winter storm with constant down pours over 48 hours and freezing temperatures hovering at 12c 24 hours a day.

Being a beach holiday cottage, it is simply not designed for these conditions. The solar heated water was ice cold for two days as there was no sun: No hot water or hot showers or any cleaning of any kind (a back-up water heating system should be in place). And - naturally - no room heating. So, the place was ice cold and uncomfortable. There was so much rain that on the second night of the storm water that had collected on the terrace above the apartment started dripping onto my head as I slept, coming through a crack in the ceiling. Fuerteventura Water Torture, I guess.

We left two days early as we simply could not cope with the conditions.

So... Conclusion? Come to this place in the summer when the weather is guaranteed. You'll love it. We took a chance and were unlucky.

Also: beware of the 'extra charges'. Wifi isn't included. Cleaning isn't included (requiring a hefty cash payment on arrival).

Awesome place

Very nice studio in a very nice location, close to restaurants or shops (10min by car), in front of a beautiful beach with a windsurf spot. Great view in a peaceful and quiet place. We had a really great stay and would surely recommend it !

Stunning location

Very nice appartment in a stunning location with a large sheltered terrace and superb views. The location is very quiet and remote and a car is essential for shops and restaurants. Facilities are comfortable but basic with no oven, TV or even a toaster. If you are looking for peace and solitude in a beautiful location with miles of beach to explore then this is the place. We shall certainly be returning.
