Home away from home

We were 4 adults and 2 children (9 and 14) staying here for ten days. The property is lovely and spacious, 3 large bedrooms and two bathrooms so there was no waiting to shower.

The kitchen is well equipped with a very large fridge freezer which was handy. The pool area is a sun trap with the sun fully on on the pool from around 10.30 through to sunset - 6 loungers (although there was only cushions for 4)

The villa is approx 10/15minute pleasant walk into the beautiful old village where you will find a small supermarket, restaurants/bars

Taxis to larger supermarkets and to The marina are reasonable and also the tourist train stops a few minutes walk from villa

Myself and family could not fault the villa and would highly recommend a holiday here. The booking process was simple and the owners were very helpful and responded swiftly to any questions we had.

Vilamoura is a name given to an area that is ideally located in the central Algarve and designed to be self-sufficient. With this in mind it has many attractions and facilities, including six Golf courses, a large marina, a lawn bowling club, a tennis centre, night clubs, an international casino, and easy access to fantastic beaches.

An area of Portugal that is truly Portuguese, but also truly cosmopolitan. De-stress away from life's usual hustle and bustle, sampling a way of living that will both rest and revitalise.

This is a very successful and sort after holiday destination for all ages, whether just to holiday in Vilamoura or visit the other areas of the Algarve that are in close proximity (Albuferia, 20mins).

The Villa is in a private road less than two minutes drive from Villamoura Old Village where there are lots of restaurants and bars and its associated facilities one minute drive from Hilton Hotel. Placed very near to several golf courses with Michilin Star restaurant within short walk.

The road train stops in the adjoining street which will take you to the Marina and Beaches which is a five minute drive away.

The Algarve is southern Portugal and is the south-west tip of Europe. It is Europes' sunniest spot with fantastic weather, the very definition of sun, sea and sand. There is so much to take in that there is no one best way to view the Algarve, leaving people often wanting more and returning yearly. The coastline has some of the world's top beaches, but if you prefer a cultural and historical experience you can choose to venture inland only a few miles and lose yourself in the Algarve's old towns.

If you prefer to be active on your holidays then The Algarve offers water sporst of all kinds, tennis or bowls, or just walk around and explore the numerous fantastic views and sights. However, it is the golf that has made the Algarve famous. It is Europe's favourite golfing destination and has many world class and championship courses, and the experienced enhanced by the yearly sun and dry playing conditions. When staying at Vila Sol you have access to it's own 27 hole Championship course, or a short drive and you could be playing at Millenium, Victoria or Laguna Golf Courses, all 18 holes and all top class.

The algarve has good roads, rail and the international airport at Faro. It is divided into the three parts, Western, Eastern and Central Algarve. In the Central Algarve you can find Albufeira the tourist capital of the Algarve, Faro the administrative centre and our very own Vilamoura with its many Golf courses and fabulous Marina. The Western Algarve possesses Lagos with it's designer boutiques and paved promenades and the fortress of Henry the Navigator at Sagres. To the east you will find Tavira or 'The Town of Churches', it has 22, and the relatively new developments at Cabanas.
