About this property

A pretty traditional finca styled villa, south facing with an 8 x 4 metre pool and full sized tennis court, set on a flat plot with parking for 2 cars. It has a covered terrace with 2 nice outdoor sofa's over looking the pool. 2 separate areas for outside dining incorporating a traditional gas fired open Spanish paella kitchen as well as an independent gas fired barbecue. The grounds are very private and peaceful, south facing so it has the sun all day all the ingredients for a relaxing holiday. The garden is laid out with lawn surrounded by high hedges and lovely trees. Because a part of the road is one-way there is hardly any passing traffic so helping towards your perfect holiday.
A walk to the old town is a little bit steep in the beginning but worthwhile and satisfying if you have a nice drink or meal there.

Lovely Villa

Had everything we needed. Is very well kitted out - the best we’ve had. No faults at all. The humidity this week caused a lot of flies and wasps to be around but that is expected in this climate. The addition of the tennis court was excellent and kept the kids very well entertained. Would recommend.

Lovely villa in a great location!

Had a fabulous stay at MaryCarmen recently as a family. We spent many relaxing days having a much needed chill-out by the pool, and long evenings dining outdoors using the spacious facilities. Would highly recommend as a holiday location as offers a very comfortable stay. The location is great near to both the old town which is beautiful to explore, and the beaches where there is lots to see and do. As mentioned in the description, electricity use is closely monitored during your stay so you do feel a bit cautious in using the air con, and as I write this review I don’t know where we have ended up on additional charges here, I am still waiting to hear the outcome.

Great house.

There were 6 of us that stayed in this house, a married couple, 2 adults with a 3 year old and a single adult. The married couple had one of the en suite double bedrooms, the single adult had a twin room, with the bathroom across the corridor and the two adults and had the other double en suite with the 3 year old. We were going to move one of the single beds from the twin room into this room, for the 3 year old, which would have been a bit of a squeeze. The person that met us, stated that they had a travel cot, if we would like to borrow it, that was really kind and helpful of them. We accepted the offer and collected it. Now the child could sleep with their parents. The cot fitted easily into the bedroom and there was still enough room for everyone. The house was big enough for us all to enjoy our own personal space and still have lots of communal space. The kitchen has lots of good quality equipment and everything you could ever need and lots of little extras. The kitchen has an island and was large enough for the 5 adults and child to prepare meals around. The property has a great outdoor space which we used all the time, to eat meals and to sit outside on the evening. The pool is a good size and we all had lots of fun in it. The tennis court is a great bonus and was well used by us all. The house would be suitable for a large family, small group of friends or 3 couples. We would defiantly recommend.

Great relaxing holiday in a lovely villa

My wife and I had a very relaxing two week holiday stay at Marycarmen. We were greeted by Kiek on arrival who explained everything about the villa and also recommended places to eat out and to visit. The villa is situated in a very peaceful area near the historic old town and is very spacious with a great kitchen, pool and large terrace area. We hope to return next year.

Why they chose this property

Javea is a little old town, where we felt home immediately. The beaches and surrouning countryside are wonderful with the orange and almond trees.
There are 3 main areas of Javea to tap into, the old town, very Spanish, lovely indoor market with fresh fruit and vegatables and lots of different restaurants and tapas bars. The Port, we sit and watch fisherboats come back with their fishing. Have a drink in one of the many bars on the front or the many restaurant behind. The sea is a beautiful colour, it makes you feel good. And finally the Arenal, a lovely sandy bay, here the crowds gather to sunbathe and swim. Also here there are lots of bars, restaurants and shops.
