** NEW in 2016: MANCHESTER to Brindisi direct via Ryanair (Mon and Fri only)**

TrulliPesto is like Italy’s finest pestos: fresh, made with perfectly blended ingredients, seasoned, and is quintessentially Italian. And like a great pesto dish, your stay at TrulliPesto will linger on the palate of your holiday memories for many years to come.

Freshly restored (completed June 2014), TrulliPesto is a five-coned 2 bedroom / 2 bathroom trulli with private pool and poolside pergola, set-back in the countryside and nestled within an olive grove for much sought after privacy, rest and relaxation.

Our trulli has two (2) generously-sized bedrooms (each under its own large trulli cone/vaulted ceiling) which can be configured as two doubles or one double / two singles.

It also has two (2) bathrooms, one of which is ensuite . . . each beneath the charm of it's own large trulli cone (vaulted ceiling).

So TrulliPesto is ideal for couple(s) and/or families or friends.

In addition, TrulliPesto boasts separate dining, kitchenette and lounge areas. . . each also beneath its own trulli cone.

All rooms have been simply but stylishly decorated to complement, not overpower, the architectural heritage and simplicity of the trulli architecture itself. . . exactly as truly great pesto’s complement fine homemade pasta dishes.

TrulliPesto’s private pool measures 8m X 4m. Sun loungers, shaded poolside pergola, outdoor seating (and umbrella) and pool towels are provided.

For early Spring (wild flowers) and late Autumn (olive harvest), TrulliPesto is centrally heated (inclusive or rates quoted) for maximum comfort should the night turn chilly.

All windows are fitted with screens.

Our trulli is located in the beautiful countryside outside of Ostuni . . . with several local Masseria offering freshly grown/organic produce, farm goods and in some cases, restaurants . . . yet, you will be ideally located for convenient access (10-15 min by car) to the beautiful Puglian hilltop towns of Ostuni, Cisternino, Martina Franca and Ceglie Messapica . . . each with its own unique character – and type of mozzarella!

Ostuni's beaches are only minutes’ drive away.

Further afield, excursions to UNESCO World Heritage sites such as Alberobello (35 min) and Matera – a ‘must’ in our opinion – (1 hr 45 min), as well as the beautiful baroque city of Lecce (1hr 20 min) or Otranto (1 hour 45min) or Gallipoli (1 hour 30 min)

Whether your holiday plans include simply total rest and relaxation or, rather packing in as much sightseeing as possible, TrulliPesto will flavour and complement your holiday, and provide just the right combinatio of ingredients for the perfect accompaniment for your visit to Puglia.

Kitchen has all modern amenities, including dishwasher.

Separate dining area in its own trulli cone with seating for four (4)

All windows fitted with screens

Outdoor patio area with dining/seating for four (4)

WIFI, kettle, toaster, microwave, iron, ironing board

Utilities: central heating, dishwasher, laundry washer, fridge/freezer, 4-ring stove, coffee maker, kettle. All kitchenware.

Master Bedroom (double) w/ensuite bathroom (shower enclosure and bidet)

Bedroom Two: Double (which can also be made to two singles)

Additional bathroom w/ shower enclosure and bidet

Seating area: day bed, casual chair, coffee table

Outside patio with table and chairs for four (4)

Separately outside, there is a BBQ

Sun loungers X4

Linens and Towels provided.

How to get there and travel times::: Bari Airport: 1 hour 10 minutes.

Brindisi Airport: 40 minutes.

Ostuni beaches: 25 minutes.

Lecce: 1 hour 20 minutes

Matera: 1 hour 30 mintues

Puglia - Surrounding Countryside: Our trulli is ideally situated for easy exploration of Puglia, its countryside / the Valle d'Itria and beautiful towns / villages of Ostuni, Martina Franca, Cisternino, Ceglie, Locorotondo --- many of which you can see from our hilltop position. The World UNESCO site of Alberobello is only a 35 km drive through the rolling countryside of the Apulian hills.

Beaches: there are plenty of beaches and beachcombing to discover in the area, from unspoilt white sand stretches to secluded coves; with or without facilities ie beach bars, beach clubs. Here's a sampling: Torre Canne, Torre Guaceto, Villanova, Torre Pozella, Costa Merlata, Pilone, Boscoe Verde.

Further afield, the beautiful baroque city of Lecce or the hauntingly beautiful Matera is 1.5 hours drive and make for scenic and enjoyable day trips, exploring their well-preserved architecture and many art galleries and cafe's.

A beautiful and peaceful retreat in Puglia

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at Trulli Pesto. The trulli, pool and surroundings were as described by the owner. The property is located off the beaten track in amongst Olive and Almond trees. The pool is a great size perfect for 2 adults and 2 kids. The pergola by the pool was brilliant to hide from the hot sun when needed. There are a table and chairs by the trulli with a large parasol for outdoor eating.

The property is very well placed for exploring Puglia. The towns of Ostuni and Cieglie are very close by and beautiful. We also visited the trulli town of Alberobello, as well as Martina Franca.

There is lots more to see and explore and I am sure we will be back at some point. Thank you Glenn for our perfect holiday.

Truly Terrific Trulli.

  • 5 of 5

For a fantastic vacation and a part of Italy you have probably never seen in a unique secluded environment, this trulli fills the bill. You step back in time to an unusual construction but totally modern in all the amenities you want.

Two spacious bedrooms separated by one of the large bathrooms. The master has an oversized double bed and a private full bath.... The two twin bedroom has the second full bath right outside the door. That bath is accessable from the small central hall. Perfect for a family or friend couples.

Kitchen and grounds were impeccably clean, modern and quiet. You can see two other trulli along the 1/4 mile driveway in but you are very private.

Things work too! Hot water for both showers at the same time is no problem, washing machine is brand new, pool is crystal clear and was fine for me to jump in every day. In June it was a bit chilly for some of our more delicate family members...fine for me!

Electricity, security system, internet, the clothes drying rack outside, the crank-up outdoor table umbrella over the small table and chairs for morning coffee, all were perfect. Lot,'s of pride of ownership in this owner.

A littlr hard to find, but the owners give you a phone number of a very nice woman who meets you on the main road and leads you in the last 3 miles (6km). They thought of everything.

Definitely need a car if you leave to sightsee. And in that area of Italy there are different and magnificant sights to see. Towns within an hour drive are on the Unisco World Landmarks list and are worth the drive.... Or just stay in the trulli for a week or two and listen to the olives grow.

Almost forgot, the pool cabana is shaded and has cushions for an afternoon nap and has lights and electricity outlets for music in the evening.

Would recommend this to our traveling children and grandchildren.

Memorable visit to this wonderful trulli

  • 5 of 5

This is a comfortable and charming trulli. Private location yet a short drive to many of the surrounding towns. A must visit to Matera, Ostuni, Alberobello, Martina Franca, Lecce, Otranto and several more towns with returning for a swim in your own private pool. A wonderful retreat for a family or friends.

The place to relax, take a swim and enjoy

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this tranquil trulli for a week in June, due to us attending a local family wedding.

We loved the pool area with it's sitting area in the shady pergola. There were plenty of sunbeds and outside chairs for our use. Our bed was very comfortable and the facilities was quite adequate for our needs. The shower pressure was very good.

The car collection from Brindisi was very simple and it was easy to get from the airport to the trulli, we found it be the best airport to get the Ostuni area.

Glenn & Steve were available with local information. Great guys who were very friendly and obliging with their time.

Puglia is a great part of Italy to enjoy & explore and we also found the costs for meals , drinks etc were reasonable. compared to other areas of Italy.

We had a unique and memorable experience....with thanks to the wonderful owners!!

Owner's Response: Thank you A&M . . . it was great to meet you and so glad you enjoyed your stay at TrulliPesto. The Puglian lifestyle is based largely outdoors, so we're happy that the amenities, outside as well as in, made for a comfortable and memorable stay for you both. Glenn

A wonderful, peaceful hideaway

  • 5 of 5

We have just come back from a wonderfully relaxing, tranquil and luxurious week away in this trulli. The weather was glorious yet the trulli was incredibly cool and comfortable, with possible one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. Great customer service, beautifully maintained property and grounds.

The nearby Ostuni is a beautiful town, with lovely produce to be found but we didn't make it far as the lure of the pool, BBQ and relaxing buzz of nature was too tempting. We did make it to the beach, which was equally impressive.

I would highly recommend this accommodation and Puglia as a whole.
