About this property

“Welcome home” to Wallace House, a vacation rental suite located between Victoria and Sidney in beautiful Saanichton. Perfectly located, we are only 10 minutes away from the famous Butchart Gardens, Victoria International airport, the Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal, and the Anacortes Ferry Terminal. Victoria is an easy 20 minute drive away. Sidney is even closer, a 10 minute drive. Wallace House is situated on over half an acre. Although we are in the country, we are an easy walk to a major grocery store, banks, restaurants, coffee shops and all other amenities. We are adjacent to walking and bicycling routes and trails. We have views across the farm land to the ocean, Gulf Islands and Mount Baker. Our guests can walk to a local beach in about 20 minutes.

Our vacation suite, which is accessed by stairs and a private entrance, has over 1,100 square feet of comfortable living, suitable for couples or families, up to four people. We supply kitchen appliances and utensils for all your cooking needs, including coffee and tea. Initial breakfast makings are provided. Laundry facilities are also available. There is no smoking on the premises.

We had a fabulous stay. Lots of room and all the amenities anyone could wish for. Very well equipped and lots of lovely touches including welcome muffins and food items. Very friendly and helpful hosts. A perfect stay for us

Cannot fault this place

We loved staying in this Appt. Kirk and Gloria were were wonderful hosts. The appt was spotless, superbly well equipped and having the fridge stocked with essentials for breakfast was really appreciated. The home made jam was delicious! Kirk and Gloria were also incredibly helpful with advice about local activities and sights worth seeing. Would highly recommend staying here and would have no hesitation returning.

Didn't even know you left home !

The pictures captured what is there. But then there is more. Besides a well equipped kitchen, Kirk and Gloria surprised with some nice essentials to get the day rolling. Having fresh milk, orange juice, butter,toast, jam and a pack of ground coffee ready to use was unexpected. Not to forget the apples, bananas and homemade cupcakes. Awsome. Bedroom and bathroom didn't fall short either. Just had a great time with homie feeling in your suite. Thank you guys !!

The Host n Hostess were the Mostest, Graciest, & knowledgeable , the property was HUGE & nicer then the pictures show. Supplies in the fridge & cupboards were much appreciated & laundry 🧺 facilities in unit. Yayyyy Bed was Sooooo Comfy too. The Shower was definitely small even for me , but did the trick. I Highly Recommend a Stay here , soooo close to the airport & like 20 mins to Dt Victoria 15 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ 🌟 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

About the host

Hosted by Kirk and Gloria Robinson

Your hosts, Kirk and Gloria, moved here from the Vancouver area in 2006 to retire. We are really enjoying the laid-back Island life. We have been married for 37 years and our children and grandchild live in Victoria. We enjoy walking on the local trails and Kirk has bicycled all over the Peninsula.

Why they chose this property

We love the country location and ocean views on our half-acre rural property. We enjoy all the walking trails and bike routes in the area and can walk to a beach in about 30 minutes. We have arbutus and Douglas Fir trees, with rabbits, eagles, quail and deer spotted regularly. We have feeders for the hummingbirds, and see lots of other species as well.

What makes this property unique

Our guests can easily walk to Saanichton Village for groceries, restaurants and other amenities. Our suite is very large with 2 bedrooms, a private entrance and off-road parking. There is a private lawn with patio set to enjoy the view and gardens.
