With a View 'To Die For': Occupying a Fabulous Location at the water's edge, yet right in heart of Old Town of Villefranche, with its ancient streets, and its many cafes, restaurants and shops.

The loft occupies almost the entire top floor of an old palace; this magnificent open-plan penthouse / loft apartment is completely unique. While in the heart of the charming and unspoilt old 'villagey' town of Villefranche-sur-Mer, it is quiet, extremely spacious, and exudes luxury. Perfect for four people or a couple, but can if necessary accommodate up to six + a baby, by arrangement with the owners.

The large terrace offers a stunning view of what's renowned to be one of the most beautiful bays in the entire Mediterranean, while inside the apartment offers the ultimate in comfort. An added bonus is that very few people know the loft even exists. It is invisible from below or above; an idyllic hideaway. Yet is is only moments from the beach, all the great local walks & scenery, and of course the luxury yachts.

Why Mark & Kate chose Villefranche-sur-Mer

We spent five years trying to find the perfect property. It had to be near a beach, near international and local transport links, near great restaurants and shops, with plenty of character and lots going on year round. We soon realised Villefranche was the ideal town, but most properties on the seafront were tiny, and had long, steep staircases, with no sense of space or luxury. The alternative was a place on the Col (hill), but with no shops or cafes, and a long hot walk to reach the sea or any facilities, this became a non-starter. Eventually we discovered this apartment; a real gem; exclusive and welcoming. We spend a lot of time there ourselves and never tire of it. For the rest of each year we rent it out; many of our guests coming back time after time and becoming firm friends. Having stayed in other local apartments before we bought the 'loft', we know this is unique and special; a home from home.

My husband, son, daughter-in-law and I stayed for a week in Villefranche where the apartment was located across a narrow street from the Mediterranean. It was truly heaven on earth. Villefranche is a charming sea side location with wonderful restaurants and shopping.

The living areas in the apartment were very comfortable with plenty of seating for dining and watching television. The bedrooms were large and nicely appointed with furniture. The bathrooms were newly remodeled, but you will need to bring toiletries with you (shampoo, conditioner, lotion,

etc.) The kitchen was also nicely appointed with dishes, utensils and appliances. But the view from the balcony was breath taking. Needless to say, when we were home, we spent most of our time out there. We loved the fact that a driver (at your expense and arranged by Molly) was available when we wanted to venture out. I would most certainly go back and stay in the same apartment in a heart beat.

A Perfect Paradise!

It is so rare to find such a perfect apartment, right on the waterfront of Villefranche with such a relaxing, spacious terrace overlooking one of the most beautiful vistas in the world.

The classy and contemporary interior of the apartment create an idyllic, light and relaxing ambiance and the terrace is simply the icing on the cake!

It's the perfect place for al fresco dining ..... Villefranche and the surrounding mountains are are lit up like a fairytale in the evenings and as you sip your aperitif you feel like you are living in a magical dream.....Plus it's a fabulous for a spot of sunbathing as its very private and getsthe sun all day long. If you want the shade you can just put up the parasols. You can relax, read your books and feel you are in your own paradise.

The interior is equipped with everything you could possibly need for the perfect, luxurious holiday.

The beach, top restaurants, cafes and all the shops are literally on the doorstep....and only one small flight of stairs as the building has a lift. Highly unusual and very welcome in the Old Town of Villefranche!

I could come here any time of the year and feel I'd found my perfect holiday.

The owner, Kate, is a wonderful host and very happy to share all her insider tips on Villefranche, the local restaurants, places to go and things to do.

I have found my paradise!
