City Center apartment - sleeping 2

Essentially, this contemporary 2nd floor apartment is open-plan and the light floods in through many large sash windows. Each area is clearly defined and the bedroom is a more private sanctuary. There is a lush fuchsia sofa and footstool to lounge on and wall mounted TV with a separate blue-ray disc player which also plays regular dvd's and cd's. There is a selection of books on fitted shelves and also a wireless connection. There is a stylish glossy graphite fitted kitchen neatly housing everything you might need during your stay and a big slab of polished stone with a couple of bar stools for impromptu dining. The kitchen has a ceramic hob and an okotherm oven, small fridge/freezer combined, dishwasher and washing machine/ tumble-dryer combined.

The bedroom has a king-sized bed and plenty of storage. There is a fully tiled en-suite area with a contemporary handbasin open to the bedroom and a concealed walk-in shower. There is a separate cloakroom with WC and hand basin.

There is a permit allowing you to park one car on the neighbouring streets around the property. However, given its central location, and only a 5 minute walk from the Bath Spa train and bus stations, these modes of transport are recommended.

We were both really thrilled with the hot bath apartment, and couldn't have asked for a more convenient location to explore Bath. The flat had everything we needed and more. We were welcomed by Olivia and shown around the beautiful apartment, which was spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable.

Walk to train station, buses, The Roman Baths, restaurants, bars, grocery. Virtually everything you need is within a short walk. Well appointed, quiet apartment in an historic building. We loved our stay!

Great location, tastefully furnished, well equipped

We stayed for 8 nights and felt very much at home in this cosy flat. The location could not be any better, a few footsteps to the Roman baths etc., but very quiet. Grocery stores are in easy walking distance, as are both, the bus and the train station. Everything we needed was provided for and the flat is very tastefully decorated. We can only recommend it!

This apartment is perfect in every way. You can tell the owner truly cares about creating a clean and aesthetically pleasing atmosphere for guests. It's comfortable and extremely conveniently located...especially if you're visiting the thermal spa. A great place for a great price!

Delightful Experience!

This is a great apartment with a great view in a great location operated by great people! We were personally welcomed to the apartment by Sara, who helped us find it by phone and finally by flagging us down (our GPS was a little confused about the apartment's exact location), helped us carry our luggage up, and patiently explained everything about the apartment. The apartment was well-stocked, even including fresh bottle of milk, a fresh bag of coffee, a bottle of wine and some chocolate. It's little things like this that distinguish great operators from good ones!

The biggest negative about this apartment (and it's a small one) is the parking situation. Of course, if you arrive by public transportation you will not have this problem. The apartment does not have dedicated parking. We usually had to park a few blocks away. We were given a parking pass that allowed us to park for free on the street within the central zone. One suggestion to Bath Holiday Rentals: A map of the surrounding area with the permitted parking spaces highlighted would be extremely helpful. Because the street layout in Bath is quite convoluted and we were tired after our drive, at first we had to do quite a bit of exploring to find one. Within a couple of days we were old pros. Here's a tip we discovered: From the living room window, you will see a one-way street stretching two blocks ahead of you with several parking spaces in the far block (Beau Street). This block is closed to vehicular access until 18:00 each night. Vehicles can exit at the near end but cannot get to the far end of the block due to a barricade around the corner. So if you drive onto that block right after the barricade retracts at 18:00, you may find a vacant parking space there. You will not only be very close to the apartment, you will be able to keep an eye on your car from the living room window.

A puzzling issue was that even though this is a non-smoking apartment, occasionally we'd briefly detect the smell of cigarette smoke inside. We finally concluded that the ventilation system may be shared among the apartments in the building, and one or more of the other residents is a smoker. Fortunately, it was never strong enough to trigger my wife's asthma.

In conclusion: This was one of the nicest experiences we've had through VRBO (and we've used them a lot)! We love Bath and definitely plan to return for a longer stay some day, and we hope this apartment will be available when we do!

SUPER fijn apartement, midden in Bath, tegenover de Thermen Spa. Schoon, voldoende ruimte, leuk ingericht. Minpuntje , het rook in het apartement naar sigarenlucht.

This tranquil apartment is in the city centre but set back from the main street. It is situated on the 2nd floor, above the spa visitor centre. There is a great view of the Nicholas Grimshaw designed Thermae Spa and all around you are elegant historic sights for which the city is renowned. There are many parks, museums, galleries, shopping, and a great choice of bars and restaurants. Alternatively indulge all your foodie whims at Marks & Spencers around the corner and dine in the comforts of your own property. In the evening book a show at The Theatre Royal, The Komedia, or The Little Theatre Cinema, all of which are a short stroll.
