About this property

Magnificent medieval house in the heart of old Bergerac

Very pretty medieval house in the old town, next to the tobacco museum. Recently renovated to a very high standard, it has 2 bedrooms (1 double, 1 double), 2 shower rooms, a living room and a kitchen with table and chairs. There are 4 floors, with a fairly narrow staircase, and there are lovely views of the Dordogne and the roofs of the old town on the 4th floor.
The house is next to a square, where there are lots of restaurants, with tables outside in the summer.
With double glazing everywhere, there is no noise, however, and there is no traffic. You are a stone's throw from the river, and from the center, with its shops, restaurants, and markets.
There is wi-fi, and TV with French channels, and news channels in English; there is also an "apple tv" box to access the channels on your tablet.
There is also a dishwasher and a washing machine.
All bed and bath linen is provided.
There is free parking in the city, but not very close to the house.

Fantastic Bergerac Property
We were lucky enough to spend a week in this beautiful historic property. Spotlessly clean and all four floors immaculately decorated. Great central location in the historic town, close to restaurants, bars and the river. Great communication with Marion throughout the booking process and during the holiday itself. If not hiring a car then suggest pre booking taxi. We used Allocab which has a great app that you can download to organise your taxi rides.

Historic Bergerac
We felt privileged to be living in such a beautifully restored mediaeval house. Incredibly convenient for the old town, waterfront and new Tourist Information( wine tasting!) Many restaurants around us, but nevertheless very quiet.

Absolutely beautiful!!
Myself, my husband and two children (10&9) have just come back from our weeks stay at this property and wow what a fantastic time we had. Walking up to the property the buildings around it are amazing, then we realised which one was ours and we were amazed it is so beautiful. Once inside we were still amazed, the property is done out lovely and still has lots of old features. We felt at home straight away, the kitchen was very well equipped as well and all of the beds very comfortable. The house is in a fantastic location not far from the centre and the quay. The square the house is in has got a lovely vibe and we dined here quite a few times in a couple of the restaurants, as well as enjoyed a lovely picnic on the steps of the quay over looking the dordogne, which was just a lovely experience. Marion was excellent at the communication up to the day and throughout our stay, which was great. I can honestly say this is probably the best property we have stayed in and we will definitely be going back.
