Six Guest Houses Set In The Gardens Of The Vast Xvi Century Noble Estate.

Six guest houses of various sizes belong to the vast XVI century noble estate that has been in the same family for the last four centuries. Guest houses sit aside from the main residence that is still occupied by the owners and share between separate part of the gardens and generous pool.

The natural stone old houses have been recently meticulously restored creating all modern facilities whilst preserving the original historic features. Magnificent views to the mountains and the estate fields with almond, olive and carob trees are complimented by remarkable tranquillity and convenient proximity and direct connection to Palma.

Guests houses are set amidst spacious gardens with autochthonous plants of the island and share a large salt water swimming pool with a changing room. There is plenty of space for both a quiet rest in a hidden garden corner and for children to play together on a lawn. All houses have their own private terraces and enjoy beautiful views over the countryside and mountains. The vast private land surrounding the estate buildings ensures a perfect sleep with the distant village background of sheep bells and chickens. Wild rabbits, partridges and pheasants crossing the private drive are not an unusual sight.

Houses are decorated with a mix of modern furniture and antique pieces from the family heritage. They are fully equipped with all modern facilities including air-conditioning in all rooms, quality kitchen appliances, free wi-fi internet, TV with international channels. Private parking. We provide kitchen and bathrooms supplies. The daily rate includes weekly cleaning with a change of bedding as well as final cleaning.

The group of houses of various sizes provides a rare opportunity for a private family holiday or can accommodate a large group of friends or several families travelling together whilst ensuring everybody's privacy in the spacious estate grounds and their own outdoor space. If you are interested in renting all the houses for a special event, please enquire well in advance to ensure availability and a special rate.

NB! Due to the stream running through the property and a water well we can only welcome children from the age of 8.

The most romantic and private setting on the estate. Spacious lounge with wood-burning stove, dining area and access to the private terrace with magnificent views over the countryside. Reverse cycle air-conditioning throughout the house.

Fully equipped kitchen: washing machine, fridge/freezer, oven, electric hob, various coffee-makers, kettle, toaster, microwave, juicer etc.

1 double bedroom, bathroom. Two beds can be joined together for a generous 180 cm double or set up separately.

Bedding and towels are changed once a week.

Bathroom is equipped with electric towel railings, hair-dryer. Beach towels provided. Cleaning and ironing supplies.

Wi-fi internet and TV with international channels.

Private parking. Private terrace. Shared gardens and salt water swimming pool 60 sq.m. with changing house.

Lovely villa in very peaceful surroundings

The villa is in a very quiet location as part of a group of villas with a shared pool. Its balcony is north facing so benefits from morning and evening sun, for the remainder of the day the best sun is found by the pool.

When we arrived the shower wasn't draining, but the owner attended rapidly and had a plumber in the next morning who fixed it - so when things do go wrong they are promptly dealt with. The shower generally is showing its age with rust on the enclosure and leaky sealant - obviously a long term problem given the layers of sealant that have been applied.

Apart from that the villa was in very good condition, well cleaned, and everything was very comfortable. The kitchen would really benefit from a dishwasher (the washing machine could be moved to the utility room) as the water isn't very hot for most of the day and cleaning pans in cool water is difficult.

The pool area is well maintained, although when all the villas are full there isn't really enough space for everybody to sit around the pool nor enough sun loungers - however with a bit of fetching from nearby villas it worked out ok each day.

Eating out is only really an option if you are driving, unless you want to eat at the Pizzeria (Il Forno) every night - Il Forno does excellent food. If Es Porxo or Es Sostre are still in business then they were never open in the 2 weeks we stayed, and Es Moli is lunchtime only. Il Forno is about 16 minutes walk away, then the next nearest is Es Muntant which is about 35 minutes (and very good) or S'Alfabaguera in Secar de la Real (about 32 minutes and decidedly average - we only went once).

The villa is only 10 minutes from Palma by car (there is a frequent bus service with stops about 3 to 4 minutes walk from the villa) and conveniently located for the motorway network - the airport was only a 15 minute drive.

Establiments itself has nothing going on so this is a location for those who either want to stop and unwind, or who are willing to travel to do things. We had a lovely time just resting and read loads of books.

The star rating takes into account the price compared with the facilities and location. The villa is very private and in extensive grounds which I guess is what you are paying for; however the lack of local restaurants and the shower in need of refurbishment meant our score was lower than it might otherwise have been.

Els Sestadors features the unique combination of complete tranquility with proximity to Palma. You are right, due to the size of the private land to enjoy the surrounding area to the full and explore the island a car is recommended for longer stays. We stayed in Romani for 10 days at the end of June

Our stay was excellent, the quality of the accommodation was better than from the photographs, very well maintained with high quality finishes. Zaretta and Jose were extremely helpful, Zaretta even shopped for us as we arrived on a Sunday and local shops were closed. Thr place is so tranquil but yet very convenient for getting into Palma, there are also great local restaurants nearby. We would thoroughly recommend visiting here

Quiet get-away haven, easy to access by bus!

We were a bit concerned as to whether we could do this using public transport alone, but actually found it very easy to do and cheap. Bus stop is 10 min walk back up the drive, and run very faithfully every 15 minutes, costing one Euro to Palma centre. From there we were able to access the main bus service ( coach) that travels all over the Island , again on time and not expensive , an hour to go to top of Island Port Pollencia , for under 7 Euros. (Tip is to buy a map of all the buses from the train station, that gives you every bus route and QR codes for every timetable.)

The cottage( Romani) is lovely, very quiet, looks out to mountains, lovely morning light. Bed is comfortable, and air-conditioning is good. A carton of milk, water,fresh coffee and bottle of white wine was provided on arrival.

The pool is great, nice sun-loungers, with some shade, pool is very clean and a good size.

We stayed for 11 nights , longer than most other guests, it worked for what we wanted.

we tried out the local restaurants , the one opposite wasn't open . The best was the Pizzeria , lovely views and food, we had a lunch here and evening meal recommend it .

Only difficulties were the internet wasn't working at first and took a few days to sort, this wasn't the owner's lack of care, just more difficult to sort than expected. The bed is two singles put together , they are comfortable, but maybe for a couple wanting it to be a more romantic time maybe slightly disappointing! (I would suggest an extra mattress and king size sheets would sort this) Otherwise great place and would go back and recommend to friends.

The estate is located on the edge of Establishments, a beautiful old village just outside Palma. Short walk will bring you to the village centre with a lovely square, cafes, restaurants, pharmacy and convenience store. Short drive to the adjacent village of Secar de la Real with supermarkets, banks, cafes, restaurants and all the infrastructure. Numerous golf courses, beaches, horse-riding stables and mountain walks are only a short drive away. Bike enthusiasts will find the setting perfect as base to explore the island from. The area of Establishments is in the privileged position on the island with an easy access to the most beautiful places of Mallorca - La Granja in Esporles, La Cartuja y Son Marroig in Valdemossa, Deia, Gardens of Alfabia and Soller, and many others. All this is combined with the direct bus connection from the estate entrance to the centre of Palma and 15 min drive to the airport. This is perfect setting to explore the island from.

Weekly cleaning with change of bedding and final cleaning are included in the rate, as well as taxes. We have a minimum age limit of 8 years for the safety reasons. Smoking is permitted only on the private terraces. No noisy events are allowed on the estate. Winter monthly rates are available upon prior agreement and exclude electricity (by the meter).
