It's difficult to ask for a more delightful setting. The house is located in the beautiful bay of Mazzarò, next to 5 star Hotel Sant'Andrea. You can park your car on the roof of the building and then go down the stairs to the first floor to access a luxury apartment on the seaside. The apartment has been renovated totally by an architect. Furnitures and fittings have been chosen with great care. There are 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The living room with open kitchen comes out onto the terrace with view over the bay. Stairs bring you to the ground floor of the building from where you have direct access to a platform, right on the rocks from where you can plunge in the sea. If you prefer the beach, you can head to beach club Lido La Pigna or to the bay of Isola Bella. Both distance about 200 meters. From Mazzarò a cable car brings you directly to the center of Taormina. Don't miss the evening stroll on the Corso, the park and the Greek Theatre.

The apartment keeps what it promises, very nice

The house outside and the balcony needs some renovation. It's a pitty because it's such a lovely place. Alessandra was very nice and helpful, thanks for that. The street that leads to the house is very dark at night. A lamp would be nice.

Because of the G7 it was very special with all those military around.

We liked our stay a lot.

True Italy by the sea

Everything about this apartment is 'true' Italy by the sea! We had stayed in another apartment in the same building which wasn't nearly as nice a few years ago, so were prepared for the building to look rather uncared for on the exterior as per a previous review, but being from Australia, we accept that this is Italy and you couldn't get closer to the sea if you tried. I do admit, that after reading a review made in Sept, I was anxious as to what we would find. I do think that that review was VERY unfair. We were met punctually at an arranged time which was brought forward to suit us. Although the building is old and no lift (3 floors), the apartment itself was beautifully furnished and decorated, very clean, had everything you needed in the kitchen, had odour refreshers everywhere, plenty of clean linen and towels, beautiful tiles both in the living areas and bathrooms, new containers of bath gel and hand wash everywhere. Nothing smelt musty and damp as per the previous review and it was immaculately clean. There is air conditioning in the living area and both bedrooms. A back courtyard and a washing machine. The owners explained everything to us and how they worked. The power did trip out a couple of times but they had shown us how to easily fix that. The previous review mentioned scabies - NEVER! There was the odd mosquito around but that was easily fixed with a 1.50Euro pack of coils. There is a car park on the roof for the car. You can walk down into the basement area and dive into the water from there (sunbeds provided) or take a short walk to the beach (5-10min). You can even swim from the apartment to the beach. I admit the basement area is very basic and has owners kayaks etc stored in there, but that's the basement for all owners and you wouldn't do anything to it as when there is a big swell on, water would come in there. Due to time of year, we were often the only ones in the building of 6 apartments but that didn't matter. My only complaint was that sometimes it was hard to dry clothes completely due to being so close to the sea air, however easily solved as we would put the clothes drying rack up on the roof area and they would dry in no time. We are a reasonably fussy but fit 69 year old couple and could not find fault. We wanted an apartment by the sea, and that's what we got - and as far as we were concerned a good one!

Good position . Well presented

Apartment well presented but too many stairs and the beds felt damp . In a good position if you are young and fit. Would have been a tight squeeze with two couples .

good view!

of advantages - sea views , access to a private beach . Of the minuses - a dirty apartment , old furniture , lack of disinfection , inconvenient layout, from the window in the bedroom view of the wall . expensive for such apartments. at first I did not want to write a negative review , but maybe it will affect the owners and the following guests do not become infected with scabies after their stay as me and my husband . we left early because of this .

Amazing views

We had a v pleasant stay in this v stylish apartment. The location is v convenient for isola bella and Taormina and direct access to the sea is perfect for early morning & evening dips. The views from the balcony are stunning. A little odd that the rest of the building appears empty but that made it v quiet and peaceful for our family.

Most amazing view anyone could want!!

I loved staying in this lovely apartment. The views are more beautiful than the pictures even show. The best is sitting on the balcony watching all the boats. Every night we rode up the Gondola to have dinner and shop. It was lots of fun! The apartment was great for our needs. Because the unit is built into the mountainside, be prepared to walk stairs (four flights down to the apartment). We did have a few issues with the breakers flipping for no real reason. It was truly no big deal, but the breaker box was on the roof where you park. The manager that let us into the apartment was extremely nice. She gave us her cell number and said to call her at anytime if we have any issues. Important advice--if you rent a car, get the smallest you can! The roads are narrow in this part of the country!
