The apartment is comprised of:

One master bedroom with a double, sleigh-style bed, two bedside tables, two bedside lights, two large built-in wardrobes and a large chest of drawers. There is also an en suite shower-room with WC, sink, shower unit, shaving socket, ample counter space, fitted cabinets for personal belongings and a heated towel rail.

One double bedroom with solid pine bed frame, two bedside tables, two bedside lamps, a built-in wardrobe with a tall chest of drawers.

One twin bedroom, a shared bedside table and table lamp between the beds and a very large built-in wardrobe.

A main bathroom with WC, sink, a bath with shower over it, a shaving socket and heated towel rail.

A cupboard by the main door to store jackets, bags, shoes and umbrellas (we provide a couple of umbrellas for you to use during your stay, just in case you need them).

A well-equipped kitchen to meet all your culinary needs. We have a gas hob, fan-assisted electric oven, fridge freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, radio, excellent selection of cooking utensils, pots, pans, mixing bowls. To ensure you have enough dishes and do not need to run the dishwasher after every meal, there is enough tableware for 12 full place settings (main plates, side plates, bowls, large glasses, small glasses, wine glasses and cutlery).

A living/dining room with views out to the well maintained, neighbourhood gardens. To ensure you are as comfortable as possible, we have recently added two new three-seater leather sofas to the living room and eight large cushions. There is also a beautiful new oak dining table that seats six; perfect for hosting a family meal or for playing board games at. There is a 40 inch HDTV in the living room with Free view television channels and an Xbox 360, which can be used to play region 2 DVDs and Xbox 360 games (a small selection of DVDs and games are provided at the apartment). Please note that the Xbox 360 is not connected to the internet.

If you wish to connect your laptop or tablet to the TV, you can do so via an HDMI cable (or the TV's 'PC input', although this is for video only and the audio will still play through your device).

As of late 2014, all our mattresses are brand new (and are 'medium to firm') and we have also installed high-speed, fibre optic wireless in the apartment.

There is limited free (on street) parking within a 1 minute walk. Parking directly outside the apartment is by permit only. One permit is available for guests to use; there is no charge for this service, but £30 will be deducted from the deposit if the permit is not returned at the end of your stay.

The apartment is on the ground floor, making it ideal for families with children. It's also accessible for guests who have minor mobility problems (please note that, because there are a few steps up to the main door, the apartment is not wheelchair accessible).

For guests with allergies, we do not use feather pillows or duvets. Our towels and bed linen are 100% cotton and they are washed in non-biological detergent for delicate skin.

If you do not require the use of all three bedrooms, we are able to offer a small discount; please contact us for further details.

A welcome pack is included and consists of bread, milk, butter, bacon, free range eggs, orange juice, shortbread, one bottle of red wine and one bottle of white wine.

I adore this city and I chose to buy and refurbish this property with my family so I could help others enjoy Edinburgh, too.

Beautiful apartment, Russell Gardens

A spacious apartment, in a central location. Everything you could need was provided. A short walk from bus and tram services, however we walked to Princes Street, The Royal Mile and Arthurs Seat, great for exploring the delights of Edinburgh. Maya was really friendly and helpful. We had a great time. I would recommend this apartment to anyone wanting to stay in Edinburgh.

Well located spacious flat, fully equipped, comfortable beds in a great neighborhood.

We had a wonderful stay in Maya´s flat. She welcomed us with food and wine and warm greetings and was the most helpful host I have ever met. Always on line, ready to answer questions and giving good advice. The flat is spacious, bright and beautiful, the beds comfortable and the kitchen is great. We felt like home from the minute we walked in the door. It´s only few minutes walk to the transport down town, that only takes few minutes more. Great location. This place is a gem and Maya is a superhost. Thanks for a lovely time at Russel Gardens. Would definitely stay there again...and again!

Bright beautiful Very spacious accomadation

I arrived on the 6th of October at Maya's appartment and we were met with such a warm welcome by Maya herself. Beautiful appartment so clean and tidy very well looked after. The welcome package was just wonderful I have been to a lot of houses and never have we had such a welcome anywhere. Busses and trams to the city centre very close by. We had a fantastic stay in Edinburgh and was only made better by THE fantastic accomadation and welcome from Maya. Thank you Maya once again you made my 60th birthday even more memorable I Would reccomend your appartment to Any of my friends or family xx Anne and Ged

Applause, applause!

Our party of 4 adults made this West End apartment our home away from home for three and a half days in October as we wrapped up a tour of Scotland.

We were delighted with everything about the flat, starting with its location in a quiet neighborhood just minutes from the tram that runs between the city centre and airport.

Everything about the experience was top-notch, starting with the reservation process, which was a snap. As our arrival date neared Maya, the owner of this spacious and gracious apartment, kept us apprised with timely communications that included driving directions and spot-on instructions on how to use essentials like wi-fi, etc. She also took time to meet and show us around, which was much nicer than having to hunt for a key in a lockbox.

We were delighted to find that our lodgings were exactly as depicted online: light, bright, and thoughtfully furnished, with comfy beds, plenty of space for suitcase contents, and a full complement of cookware in the kitchen—not to mention numerous “little things” that travellers might need and appreciate. (And being able to secure nearby parking was a real plus.)

Throughout our brief stay Maya was extremely accessible and helpful. We hope to return to her wonderful city and an encore stay at this fine apartment.

Fantastic Apartment!

My husband and I stayed 9 nights in Maya's Edinburgh apartment. The apartment is spacious and exceptionally clean. The location is also great. It is a short walk from the tram station that takes you right into downtown Edinburgh. We loved the Sainsbury's which is also a short walk away. The kitchen has everything you need if you're wanting to prepare meals in. Maya provided some groceries and wine upon our arrival. This was greatly appreciated after our long flight into Edinburgh.

Thanks Maya for providing such well maintained accommodations! We definitely recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Edinburgh.

Great place to stay in Edinburgh!

We stayed at Maya’s place for 3 nights and couldn’t have been happier with our experience. The suite is very nice and suited our group perfectly with everyone having their own space yet still having lots of common spaces as well. Maya met us at the apartment and gave us a thorough introduction to both the apartment and Edinburgh in general. She even asked around and got back to us about where to find some specific items we were looking for.

The apartment is in a very convenient area, close to public transport and walking distance to the main attractions if you feel like a bit of a walk. It is very well equipped and we had no difficulty doing some of our own food prep, as well as some greatly needed laundry. Maya left us enough food to keep us going for a bit when we first got there and even left us a bottle of wine! There is a great local pub on the corner and a well-stocked convenience store a 5 minute walk away. Overall, I can’t recommend Maya’s place enough and would love to return sometime!

The property is bright, spacious and well presented. It's on the ground floor, making it ideal for families with children. It's also more accessible for guests who have mobility problems. Please note that, because there are a few steps up to the main door, the apartment is not wheelchair accessible.

The apartment is situated in a quiet, residential area, yet is only 15 minutes walk from Haymarket train station at the West End of Princes Street.

On foot, we are only a few minutes away from frequent bus and tram links. Both Murrayfield Stadium and the Murrayfield tram stop are situated across the road from each other and are less than 5 minutes away from the apartment. The rather beautiful Water of Leith is a couple of minutes away and Murrayfield Ice Rink is less than 10 minutes away.

There is a modestly-sized Tesco on the main road (2 minutes away) as well as a selection of local restaurants, cafes and bars in the immediate vicinity. If you are staying for more than a few days and wish to stock up on food and drink, there is a large Sainsburys supermarket less than 10 minutes walk away.

Edinburgh is a beautiful and welcoming city with a rich culture and interesting history. Whether you’re here for the Edinburgh Festival, rugby season, to use the apartment as a base to tour the surrounding areas or just to relax with friends and family, we are sure you will enjoy your time here. There are plenty of bars, restaurants, clubs, theatres, museums, cinemas and shops. With some stunning architecture, Edinburgh Castle and the Scott Monument are at the heart of the city and there are a number of historic tours and sites you can visit during your stay.
