About Victoria

My family are from Tenby, we have a history of fathers and grand fathers being lifeboat men.

Melrachelle was my Grandmothers house and it was been passed down to her grandchildren. We have so many wonderful memories of spending all our school holidays at the house and now we would like to share that opportunity.

Victoria purchased this bungalow in 1965

Why Victoria chose Pembroke, Tenby, Saundersfoot & The South Coast

The house is spacious, filled with light, it is a comfortable family home with all the mod cons. The views from the house are mostly rural scenes of rolling hills.

What makes this bungalow unique

Melrachelle is ideally placed between the Tenby and the pretty village of Penally, it has mostly rural views. We allow owners to bring dogs so they can explore all the great walks around Pembrokeshire.

There is off street parking for up to three cars.

Many thanks for an enjoyable stay at Melrachelle

  • 5 of 5

We found Melrachelle to be a clean and comfortable bungalow, fully equipped with everything that we needed for our stay. Our small dog particularly appreciated the enclosed rear garden in which he could run around and have fun without any worries.

We found a couple of good pubs - The Cross Inn at Penally (15 minutes walk) and the Sun In at St Florence (2.9 miles by car), both of which served excellent food. The surrounding area is very good for anyone who enjoys walking, as there are numerous signposted walks across the fields and near the coast. As regards shopping, there is a shop very close by at the garage on the main road (2 minutes walk) which sells the basics and also another shop on the Kiln Caravan park which is a little better. Otherwise we found that we needed to go to Sainsburys in Tenby (5 minutes by car - nb the car park is the multi storey adjacent to it) for most groceries.

As regards accessibility to the bungalow - we have a daughter who has special needs, who can only walk short distances and is otherwise dependent on a wheelchair. We had to be very careful getting her into and out of the bungalow as there were steps at all the entrances. Whilst this wasn't a great problem for us, it would be for anyone who couldn't get out of their wheelchair.

By chance, as we arrived slightly early , we met up with the owner who we found to be very friendly and willing to provide assistance, advice and information to enhance our stay. Bearing all this in mind, I would thoroughly recommend Melrachelle to anyone looking for self catering accommodation in the Tenby area and finally the bottle of wine and dog treats, left to welcome us by the proprietor, were very much appreciated. Many thanks.

An excellent holiday property called Melachelle

  • 5 of 5

This was our 2nd holiday at Melachelle and we certainly weren't disappointed. The standard of the cottage was excellent. Spotlessly clean, very well equipped kitchen and endless supply of dvd's and games. We were grateful for the central heating for the couple of cold days we had! It's the best holiday we've had in GB.

We had a lovely relaxing holiday and enjoyed the views of the countryside from the sitting room .

  • 4 of 5

The property was clean and very cosy. There is a very large kitchen with a lovely space for dining with views of the countryside. Overall a very pleasant place to stay with everything you could need from a practical point of view available at the bungalow. Off road parking was a bonus too.

Excellent holiday

  • 5 of 5

Had a amazing week here, the bungalow is a proper home from home.. Clean comfy beds, nice enclosed pet/child friendly garden and excellent facilities.

The bottle of wine and treats for the dog were a real surprise and great welcoming gift. There's lots of games and DVDs for a perfect family night in as well as a quiet village pub (The Cross Inn) practically on your door step for a nice romantic/family meal out.

I would highly recommend Melrachelle for anybody wanting to visit or explore what Pembrokeshire has to offer.

Wonderfully situated with superb views overlooking countryside. Excellent facilities. Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

Our holiday at Mirachelle was perfect. We enjoyed everything about it. Situated in lovely quiet surroundings, which to me is paramount. Facilities in the cottage were excellent, especially in the kitchen. Everywhere was clean and beds were comfortable. Lots of space to move about and a big garden to sit out in and relax after a day out.

We really liked Tenby and found lots of pubs and cafes who welcomed dogs. There were many beaches, too, where we could take, Lucy, our dog.

It was one of the best holidays for us and we've booked, again, for next year.
