Lindos Destiny Luxury Villa Eden - Private pool, luxury outside jacuzzi sea view

Overview

Property

Updated: 03-Dec-2016
Exquisite luxury 3 Bedroom Villa, Near Lindos - Private Pool, Jacuzzi & Sea View

The exquisite Villa Eden has pride of place in the Lindos Destiny Luxury Villa portfolio. This beautifully designed, 3 bedroom villa, sleeps up to 8 guests and is situated on one of the quiet beach roads near Kalathos village, which is a short drive to Lindos. With its own fabulous swimming pool and state of the art Jacuzzi, the Villa Eden lives up to its name by overlooking a lush olive grove, with glorious sea views, to offer a piece of paradise.

Stylishly contemporary and embracing natural materials in its high quality, and mostly handmade, fixtures and fittings, this light and airy villa will delight even the most discerning of guests.

The owners have thoughtfully designed the villa to provide wheelchair access, with a ramp to the front entrance and the luxurious ground floor wet room is equipped with aids to ensure both safety and comfort.

The large, spacious open-plan living area has a modern streamlined, fully equipped kitchen with an extensive range of high quality appliances and utensils. A built-in glass topped dining table and six chairs, are ideally situated to take in the views of the mountains from the window to the front of the house. Marble and natural wood is used throughout the villa and an impressive solid marble wall feature, in the living room, It has an inset fireplace (with working fire for low season) and housing for the Satellite TV. Stylish, but comfortable, seating (with a sofa bed to sleep 2 people) allows guests to relax and admire the views from the large patio windows that look out onto the pool area, garden and sea beyond. Natural wood is used for the coffee table and parts of the décor, and concealed ceiling lights provide a gentle illumination to the villa when the nights draw in.

The ground floor wet room has been thoughtfully furnished to provide a handrail next to the WC and a wooden seat is affixed to the wall in the shower area that also has the benefit of wood boarding at its base to ensure an extra safe non-slip surface.

Conveniently situated on the ground floor and providing wheelchair access, the twin bedroom benefits from a lot of light and overlooks the mountains at the front of the house. All the beds in the villa have Coco-Mat mattresses, which are top-of-the-range, and have a natural fibre filling that is antibacterial for total health and comfort. The two beds can be locked together to provide a double if required. A fitted double wardrobe, bedside tables and feature wood shelving completes this delightful airy room.

Unlike a lot of villas, much thought has gone into storage space, from a convenient built in covered shelving unit in the reception area, for footwear etc, to the range of drawers and cupboards that are next to the marble stairs leading to the upper floor.

Only a few steps, framed with feature sides, take you to the next floor, to access the two double bedrooms. The first of these is another twin bedded room, benefiting from the anti-allergy Coco Mat mattresses. A triple door fitted wardrobe, mirror and handmade wooden dressing shelf adorn the room, along with a bedside table and pretty window drapes that frame the mountain views beyond.

The luxury bathroom on this floor has a large, contoured bath with a wall mounted shower attachment. The low level WC has a feature wall behind with shelving to the side and a large hand wash basin with mirror and overhead light make up this spacious facility.

The master bedroom is large and airy and the double patio window overlooks the Jacuzzi, wooden decking area, pool and surrounding sea views to the rear of the villa. A king size bed, with the all-important Coco Mat mattress, has a feature handmade wooden back–drop, with side tables, and the dressing area benefits from handmade wooden shelving with a wall mirror and stool. There is also a capacious 4 door fitted wardrobe with hanging space and shelving.

Continuing on the safety theme, the Villa Eden owners have ensured that the large patio area has non-slip floor tiling throughout. The Jacuzzi is showcased on wooden decking that is elevated by staging not far from the pool area and can accommodate up to three guests at a time – one lying, two sitting. It will be just magical to enjoy this experience as the sun goes down. The swimming pool is 9 x 5 metres and has an antibacterial comfort lining, sourced from France, which is far superior to tiling. A safety glass screen, that runs the length of the pool, affords uninterrupted views of the olive grove and sea.

A relaxing and superior L shaped seating area is positioned on the upper patio area with soft cushioning and with a coffee table within reach for those all important refreshing drinks! White painted wooden sun loungers with matching deep cushioned beds and overhead parasols enable guests to unwind between dips in the pool or Jacuzzi. The purpose-built BBQ and dining area is shaded by a wooden pergola with slotted bamboo roof. A deep sink and preparation area is next to the BBQ grill and the large handsome, handmade wooden table, and six comfortable chairs will delight al fresco diners. A feature stone wall frames the outside shower which has a large overhead shower head and wooden boarding at its base. The owners have even provided electric mosquito deterrents that can be plugged in next to this outside dining area. There is even the option to watch TV outside while you laze on the seating or sun beds.

Steps lead down from the pool and patio area to a garden, mainly laid to lawn, to the rear and side of the villa with various shrubs, trees, flowers and succulents enhancing its borders. The villa is very secure with fencing to the sides and bottom of the garden and walls and gates to the front. Totally private, in a tranquil location, that is not too far away to walk to the nearest beach, beyond the pool area the rows of olive trees and the sea views will allow guests a haven within which to relax and unwind.

Everything about the Villa Eden exudes style and all the fixtures and fittings, mostly handmade, have been thoughtfully chosen and sourced from different areas of Greece and France. The villa has the benefit of full air-conditioning that is included in the rental cost. This villa will appeal to those wishing for total privacy and the chance to relax and enjoy the serenity offered by its location, which is far enough away from the nearest village, but within walking distance of the beautiful beach and small shops. The village of Kalathos is just a short drive away and there are a few delightful Greek tavernas which can be reached on foot or again, via a short car journey. Lindos is also only approximately 10 -15 minutes away by car.

New for 2015 is the addition of free bicycles for adults and children. These are ideal for popping down to the beach, restaurants and bars in the area and for riding on any flat terrain. A thoughtful little gesture by the owners to ensure your time spent here is even more fun!!

The villa is registered with the Greek Government to comply with rules for renting. EOT license 1476K10000398201

Stunning Villa

  • 5 of 5

The Villa is fantastic. Lots of room for my family who enjoyed all the amenities the Villa had to offer. We loved the outside expansive areas where we could chill out and relax, swim in the lovely pool, have a dip in the hot tub, play table tennis, go for a bike ride etc. The villa was well presented and clean. We were given a warm welcome by Tsampika who explained how to use everything. We also had a very good welcome pack with additional treats partway through the holiday. We live version it so thanks Tsampika and thanks Cleo and Nicola we can't recommend you enough. The Keating & Berry family

Gorgeous villa, recommend highly!

  • 5 of 5

This villa has everything you could wish for. The pictures on the web don't do it justice. Great outside pool area with lots of shaded areas from the sun, and also a children's play area and table tennis and table football in the garden which kept the kids entertained. It was spotlessly clean and in immaculate condition, couldn't fault a thing. The only one improvement we would suggest it to make the bbq a bit better. It is quite small so takes a while to cook everything. The location is good, with only short drives to the supermarket and some lovely beaches (Agathi, Tsambika and Lindos St Pauls Bay were our favourites), but a car is essential. We hired a boat from Kalathos beach which was reasonable and a great way to see the area and swim in some beautiful crystal clear waters - very memorable. Lindos at night is wonderful and magical, but very hot during the day. It is a must see though. We also ate out at the local restaurant konsintina, which is in walking distance from the villa, and found the food to be very good.

All in all we loved our stay and came home very relaxed. Tsambika was great and made sure we had everything we needed, even bring us some local fish for tea one night which was fantastic. We would recommend this villa very highly and hope to return at some point in the future.

Owner's Response: Thank you Joanne for taking the time to write this great 5* review of the stunning Villa Eden. We are so glad that you had a wonderful holiday and enjoyed the villa and location. Thank you for your feedback regarding the BBQ. As I am sure you saw the BBQ is hand made and I must admit no one has commented on its size before. We do however take on board your comments and will provide an additional grill for those who would like extra cooking space in future and indeed for your return! We do hope to see you again on Rhodes! Best wishes from Nicola, Tsampika and the Lindos Destiny Team

Gorgeous property in a lovely quiet village with very friendly people - just what the doctor ordered

  • 5 of 5

Went on holiday to Rhodes in May for a lovely holiday with my other half. It was great for just the 2 of us, but seemed a shame no-one else was there to enjoy it with us, as there was plenty of space for more. I was recovering from an accident and prior to surgery on my knee, so Villa Eden in Kalathos seemed a perfect location.

We were welcomed by Tsampika, who was fantastic throughout the holiday. When we arrived in a hire care, it had a fault showing on the dash in Greek and she very kindly helped us to interpret and even called her mechanic to give some advice, then continues to help arrange a replacement with the hire car company. A new car arrived the next day and they took ours away. She went over and above what we would have expected and we were very grateful. It also had the best welcome pack we've ever seen, which we made very good use of.

Although the villa has no other building in sight around it, it was still within about a 5 minutes walk of 2 restaurants. (probably 10 with my injury!)

We tried both Konstantin and Ostria and both good, although perhaps a little more expensive (only a fraction) we did return to Konstantin 4 times during our stay, so make your own mind up there…Both restaurants gave a lovely warm Greek welcome and were so good and reasonably priced that we didn't even use the BBQ at the Villa! Probably would with a larger group as it was setup perfectly for socialising.

As it is set in a secluded area with only really fields around, understandably there is a lot of nature around. I wasn’t quite so keen on the crickets, but they generally keep themselves to themselves, however watching the Swallows flying around was lovely.

We wish we could have stayed for another week, we would love to return. Thank you again to Tsampika ;-)

Outstanding Villa, Great Location A+++++

  • 5 of 5

Outstanding Villa, great facilities and a excellent warm welcome from the owners. The villa has everything you need to enjoy your holiday in Rhodes.

Upon arrival we were welcomed by Tsamloika and a wonderful food package which was everything we needed to settle us in as we arrived at 10pm.

The villa itself is in a secluded area near to Kalthos and about a ten minute journey to Lindos and a fifteen minute journey to Pefkos, which we highly recommend to anyone staying here. There was also two great restaurants within walking distance to the villa.

I have to say i have never stayed in such a fantastic villa, it has everything you need to make your stay throughly enjoyable, it is very modern, clean and very comfortable, there is a kitchen, washing machine, tumble drier, two large bathrooms, a pool, hot tub, 4 mountain bikes, games, satellite tv. The outside of the villa is a great area to relax around the pool throughout the day and evening with family and friends.

The pictures do not do it justice, a great villa and holiday; we have already booked it again next year for a longer period as we enjoyed it so much

Thank you for a most enjoyable and relaxed holiday we have had in years, just what we needed.

Amazing secluded villa and views to match

  • 5 of 5

A fantastic villa and impeccably furnished and presented. The owners take great care and pride in ensuring everything is as good as it can be. The best welcome pack of food and drinks we have experienced. Four mountain bkes provided for use by visitors are just one example of the nice touches. Extremely friendly and helpful owners - even escorted us to a petrol station near the airport when we left and needed to fill the rental car. The photos are accurate - no hidden surprises - seems too good to be true but it's not. Book it - you will only be very happy that you did!

Fabulous Retreat

  • 5 of 5

We were met by Tsambika who was the perfect host and made us feel very welcome providing a lovely welcome pack of food on our arrival. This was the perfect Villa for us, tucked away so that children can play in the fabulous pool at any time without the worry of disturbing close neighbours but close enough to get to Supermarkets within 5 mins by car. The owners provided 4 superb bikes which gives a little extra freedom to explore without the chore of driving.

The Villa is maintained to a high standard and has everything you could need if eating in. This really is a Villa which provides for living outside with plenty of seating and space to lounge and a brilliant built in BBQ area for meal times. The pool has a great flow system that gets rid of 99% of those little bugs that find their way into most pools overnight

Wi-Fi is by mobile data rather than mainstream internet which is expensive and runs out quickly if you have a few users but the owners will happily top up. (We just felt guilty that the data went down quickly)

There are a number of restaurants close by within walking distance and next to the nearest big supermarket (5minsby car) on the road to Lindos there is a fantastic Coffee House Zuchero which sells great pastries, fine chocolates and the best Gellato/Ice cream for miles maybe even on the whole Island.

We cannot recommend this property highly enough - book and you will not be disappointed

Owner's Response: Thank you Stephen for taking the time to add this 5* review of the wonderful Villa Eden! As you say, the owners of this beautiful villa are wonderful hosts ensuring that all of their guests have an outstanding holiday. The secluded, private location of the villa also means that it is ideal for people with children or indeed for people want real peace and quiet. The great thing about the villa's location is whilst it is in such a peaceful location, it is also within easy walking distance of the beach and tavernas. The bicycles provided also means that you can jump on these anytime and just pop to the local shop or beach. It is also just minutes drive from the charming village of Lindos. The villa itself is fully equipped and has a fantastic outdoor living area. I know from my own experience of having lived in London for so long, how important being able to spend as much time outside as possible, when going on holiday is. Villa Eden provides the perfect outside dining and living environment. Thank you for your recommendation and we do hope to see you again in Rhdoes one day! Kind regards Nicola Lindos destiny

Nearest Airport : Rhodes Diagoras at 48 Kilometres Nearest Barpub : Kalathos Beach at 500 Kilometres Nearest Golf : Afandou at 20 Kilometres Nearest Motorway : Kalathos at 1 Kilometres Nearest Restaurant : Kalathos Beach at 500 Metres Nearest Beach : Kalathos at 500 Metres Car: recommended

Kalathos is a typical Greek village in the south-east of the island on the coast of the Aegean Sea. There are little tavernas along the beach roads and a couple of bars and restaurants in the village itself. On Sundays especially, you are bound to see both Greek families, and tourists alike, enjoying the sweeping Kalathos beach where there is room enough for everybody. A warm welcome is ensured in the bars and restaurants near the beach front and in the village itself - you will be made to feel like family!

The iconic village of Lindos, is a short car journey away. No vehicles are allowed inside Lindos, other than small delivery vans. Donkeys provide the mode of transport for taking tourists to the acropolis and down to the beaches and the Archaeological Society does not permit any changes to be made to the buildings, some of which originate from the 15th century, that might have a detrimental effect on the historical nature of the environment. Consequently it has retained its quaint, relaxed and memorable facade which makes it a favourite for holiday makers, some of whom return year after year favouring Rhodes over any other holiday destination. The main beach stretches across the back of the bay and there is a smaller beach known as Pallas Beach where there are a variety of eateries and umbrellas and sun loungers can be hired. At the other end of the village a road leads down to the harbour of St. Paul's Bay which in 58 AD was a refuge for St Paul’s ship during a storm. The sea is beautifully clear here and it is a lovely spot to enjoy a picnic or stretch out and soak up the sun. The entrance to the village is on the north, by its only square, which has a large tree in the middle and a small fountain with many features from the period of the Knights. Rocks behind and above it recall ancient aqueducts. The graveyard is also at the entrance to the village, containing the church of Phaneromeni.

This delightful little town is full to brimming with restaurants, bars, creperies, and souvenir shops. Beautiful handmade jewellery and leather sandals are very popular with both locals and tourists and make lovely gifts to take home. Be sure to pay Lindos a visit!

Rhodes is the largest of the Dodecanese islands and is steeped in mythical history. As showcased by the Colossus of Rhodes, one of the Seven Wonders of the world, throughout ancient times, it was believed to belong to the God of the Sun - Helios. Very apt as Rhodes has more than 300 days of sunshine a year together with over 250 kilometres of coastline on which to enjoy it. The natural beauty of the island and the monuments from its long and often turbulent history, combine a lively present with a rich historical past. It offers a great variety of cultural and sports activities. You can enjoy sailing, scuba diving, jet skiing, windsurfing, golf and tennis. You can delight in experiencing the island’s many places of interest including the Valley of Butterflies; a tranquil spot where, during July and August, thousands of butterflies come to reproduce and dazzle us with their beauty. Alternatively, you can take a day trip on a boat to Symi or one of the other neighbouring islands, of which there are many.

No matter what the dynamics of your group is, if you are in the mood to explore the coastline, you will definitely find a beach that suits you. Choose between the fabulous, sandy beaches on the east and south coasts, Tsambika beach and Agathi beach, to name just a couple, (which are a treat for families with children), the windsurfing beaches like Prassonisi on the southern tip, the party beaches like Faliraki and Rhodes Town and the almost forgotten rocky beaches on the north-western coast. Rhodes really has something for everyone!
