A perfectly situated apartment in the historic center of Rome.

  • 4 of 5

We recently spent two weeks in this apartment which is perfectly located in the historic center of Rome. It is a few blocks from the Piazza Navona and even closer to the outdoor market at Campo de' Fiori. Buses are available just a block away. In general La Rosa Bianca is a comfortable apartment, but at the time of our visit there were some problems with everyday maintenance. Adriana, the apartment representative, was always promptly available, pleasant and helpful. These issues have been resolved and La Rosa Bianca will continue to be a wholly satisfying base for a

visit to this wonderful city.

Wonderful experience, great location!

  • 5 of 5

The accommodations were perfect, on a quaint street a few steps from Campo di Fiori (wonderful open-air market during the day and restaurant scene in the evening) and a few short blocks away from all of the sights. Adriana was extremely helpful, and even though our flight had been delayed for hours she stayed very late to greet us and explain the apartment's features, and also arranged for airport travel. I would highly recommend this rental.

Lovely Apartment in the middle of the Old City

  • 4 of 5

We stayed here for almost 3 weeks and had a great time. We walked all over Rome and went into many churches and museums, saw lovely piazzas and fountains and just got a “feel” for the ancient city. The apartment was ideally located to do this. It was one street away from Campo di Fiori where we found some great restaurants, bought fruits and vegetables and found a great little butcher shop. Also the apartment was one block south of Corso Vittorio Emmanuel, where you could find a number of small supermarkets to buy cooking provisions and catch the bus to parts of town that were a little too far away to walk to.

The kitchen was well equipped with various appliances. The washer/dryer was a great convenience. This was one of the major features that “sold” us on this apartment, as we knew we were going to be staying for three weeks. The microwave and toaster were very useful. However, even though we were able to cook on stove-top, we were a little disappointed that the oven did not work. It would have been a very nice addition to grill or roast a piece of meat. The Wi-Fi worked very well . This was also a major consideration for us and we were very happy that we had no problems with it. The terrace was lovely and a great place to relax after a day of site-seeing and have an aperetivo. The building elevator was small but very adequate and worked well. It is somewhat rare to have an elevator in an apartment building in Rome, so we certainly appreciated having it since we were on the fourth floor.

Adriana and Susan, from HomeAway/Commendable Rentals, were wonderful to deal with. Susan was responsive to all of our questions before we even booked the reservation. The day we arrived, Adriana was at the apartment to greet us and go over the apartment with us. She provided us with detailed information on the neighborhood and Rome in general. During our stay, I emailed her a few times with various questions, and she always got back to me very quickly.

Even though we were generally very happy with the apartment, I must comment on an important negative. The water controls in the bathroom did not work well at all. When taking a shower, the water temperature varied from very cold to scalding hot. It made taking a shower difficult -- and even dangerous. Also the water in the bathroom sink did not work well. You had to wait a long time for the water to get warm and then it did not last very long. Also there was no hot water in the kitchen sink.

could not have been happier with your apartment

  • 5 of 5

from Adriana, who met us at the apartment the first day, to Eli who drove us to the airport at 5:30 am, we were taken care of in every way. Thank you for everything, the location, the towels (big and absorbent) and the kitchen set-up, we just appreciated all that you did to make our trip special.

Lovely Apartment off Camp Di Fiore

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for two weeks for our 40th anniversary and had a wonderful time. Two weeks is barely enough time to scratch the surface of this glorious city. We loved the apartment and the location. We would highly recommend this property!
