1 Bedroom/ 1 bathroom, A/C, Italian shower, apartment with high range equipment to afford best comfort.

This property is located in the famous rue Saint Honoré, in a historical building constructed at the beginning of the 17th century. Located in the center of Paris, the apartment is surrounded by the Louvre Museum, the Seine River, the Saint Eustache Church, the Pompidou center and the Cité and Saint Louis islands, meaning all tourist attractions can be easily reached on foot. The metro stations Louvre, Pont Neuf and Chatelet are less than 200 meters away from the apartment.

Designed by an architect to accomodate a couple, this property can also fit a child in the mezzanine bed. It was finished in July 2014, is fully equipped and provides the same comfort as a luxurious hotel room.

The living room opens on to an outside area, originally part of the building's courtyard and covers approximately one third of the living room.

This area has real jasmine flowers on the left and a few others exposed as a decoration; there is also a black table and 2 chairs for you to enjoy a typical Parisian breakfast. Of course, no parties or excessive noise are allowed in this area.

The living room has a sofa for 2-3 persons, a built-in television, a bar as a dining area with marble on it and A/C monitor. This area is very bright as it has a glass and wood joist ceiling.

The kitchen is equipped with a micro-wave, fridge/freezer, stoves, Nespresso coffee machine, a kettle and all that is needed for eating and cooking.

The living room opens on to the bedroom but can be hidden with a blackout curtain to create darkness in the bedroom.

The bedroom is also very well equipped with a queen size bed (160x190 centimeters) and offers the new technology known as memory foam. There is plenty of space under the bed to store empty suitcases.

The bedroom opens on to the bathroom designed with glass all around it. The glass has a plastic film designed to afford privacy.

The removable stair leads to the mezzanine with its single bed of 90*190. The stair can be fixed to the wall or perpendicular to the bed and was especially made for this use.

The mezzanine has parquet flooring and bed lights to provide comfort for a teenager or a child.

The main bathroom has toilets on the left side which cannot be seen from the bedroom as the sliding door has an opaque plastic film to avoid visibility and keep privacy. On the right side is the Italian shower with a removable blind for whoever wants to preserve privacy. The bathroom has a brand new Stark Japanese toilet which is increasingly used in hotels but very rare to find in a private apartment. Of course, these toilets can be used as regular ones.

The apartment is 24sqmt and is designed not to waste any space but of course, certain areas are fairly small such as the kitchen (55 centimeters, less than 2 feet). Half a floor under the apartment, (8 stairs) is the laundry room with a brand new washer and dryer.

PS : Please note that a passport copy as well as a signed rental agreement is required in order to definitely confirm your reservation.

I made my agency GLAMAPARIS in 2007 and decided to buy my first apartment in 2013. Managing this agency specialized in furnished apartment in Paris, I made my best with my architect to have a high range property in this limited space.

Damien MARCEL (GLAMAPARIS) purchased this apartment in 2013

Why Damien MARCEL (GLAMAPARIS) chose Les Halles

This property has an exceptional location, rue Saint Honoré.

It is very special as it gives onto a courtyard accessible through the apartment itself. It is a sunny property thanks to the glass roof in the living room.

What makes this apartment unique

The bathroom was thought to be exceptionnal with high range equipements, italian shower, japanese toilet, sink, miror, headshower with light indicating the temperature.

The outside area is useful for a coffee in the morning or to have a dinner.

Great Value / Exactly as Advertised!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I just stayed at this property in October 2017 and found it to be a good value and an excellent apartment for our needs. First, let's start with the people who manage this property - Damien and Andre at Glamaparis. They were extremely quick to respond to my initial inquiry. From then on, they responded to my emails within minutes. They were very accommodating of our last minute booking. Plus, their office is literally around the corner from this unit. Andre greeted us at the unit and even helped carry our luggage up. We found everyone at Glamaparis to be professional, courteous and responsive - everything you hope for.

The apartment is exactly as shown in the pictures in the VRBO listing, right down to the coffee cups. The unit is just up a single floor from ground level and we found it easy to get up and down as needed. The laundry room is a separate locked room half way up those steps. It is a big laundry room with individual washer and dryer units. We did not need to do laundry but it was a nice feature. We found the bed and linens to be very comfortable. The front door of the unit is very secure and easy to access with the keys. The small bathroom is equipped with high-end fixtures and the shower was great. The kitchenette was perfect for our needs (we did not cook but used the fridge to store drinks and some light snacks). And the Nespresso coffee maker was much appreciated. One of us fixed morning coffee while the other ran down the street to pick up incredible pastries at either of two excellent patisseries that are very near the apartment (La Boulangerie Julien and Boulangerie Parisienne - both recommended by Andre). Space is "cozy" but was just fine for the two of us. We used the TV room to spread out our luggage - there is a half closet in the bedroom. Although there is a glass roof over the TV room/kitchenette, there is a drape that covers and blocks off the bed/bath.

Location was great - close to transportation and walking distance to plenty of great sites. There are tons of shops, small restaurants, grocery stores and patisseries nearby for anything you'll need. Yet, the neighborhood/street is pretty quiet so noise was never a problem at night (and the apartment is internal to the building so we slept well).

Thank you again Glamaparis. We found this apartment to be a really great value that met all of our needs. We would stay here again for sure.

Great location with all the amenites for a little cozy flat!

  • 5 of 5

The location of the flat is a 5 min walk from RER B ( train from CDG ) which is very convenient. You can walk a few blocks to two other Metro stations. The Louvre is only a few blocks away and Notre Dame is a 15 min walk away. I really enjoyed my morning run around The Louvre and along The Seine. There were three grocery stores and many restaurants close by. The best restaurant we ate in Paris was Comptoir de la Gastronomie. Our other favorite was to walk down down to La Parisienne and buy a baguette and stop by Le Grandgousier for pate. They also have a nice roast chicken too! Boulangerie Jullien was great for everything else but the baguette wasn't as soft. We cooked pasta for our culinary challenged son and it was nice having breakfast in the flat to save money.

The pictures you see is what you get. Excellent job modernizing the flat. The flat really isn't that big at all. We found it perfect for two of us and my 8 y/o son. He loved climbing up to the loft and having his own space. Both beds were very comfortable. For not having any windows, it is very well lit from the skylight. There is a curtain you can pull over to make the room dark. As mentioned in the other posts, there isn't much privacy because the bathroom / shower is glass. The air conditioning was a big plus! My son says it was 17 steps to the unit. The washer and dryer which is located outside the flat down a few steps. Only you have the key so it was nice to be able to do laundry while your away. The unit is very quiet. Didn't hear any outside noise or the neighbor. The only bad is the hallway was musty from the old wood. If you're use to camping in a cabin, its not a big deal. We aired out the room by leaving the side door open or just run the a/c for a little bit. I suspect the building is probably over a few hundred years old so what do you expect. One of the pictures said they left some of original wall from 16th century which is cool! Wifi was great, and the TV supports AirPlay.

Samia was very friendly and suggested a few places to eat. If you run into any issues, their office is just a few blocks away but not open on Sunday. We ran out of toilet paper and they said we had to pick some up from Fran Prix. The next tenant will be happy since the 9 pack was cheaper. Tempted to take away a star since we were staying a week but they were polite about mentioning this isn't a full service hotel. Fair enough. Would definitely rent again for the location and a/c!

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for such a complete review ! I am glad you enjoyed Paris and the apartment as well as the many restaurants around the area. I have put a lot of work into transforming the apartment into a perfect stay place, by adding A/C, modern amenities and the extra room for laundry purposes. Little space, but great comfort! Regarding the corridor, it is indeed very old but I would not say musty is the adapted term, "Aged" would be more appropriate :) Damien

Very centrally located, modern apartment with Air Conditioning!

  • 5 of 5

The apartment is extremely centrally located, literally 5 min to the Louvre, metro, shops, restaurants (Enzo & Famiglia across the street is delicious, friendly and full of locals), boulangeries, etc. Even though rue du rivoli was only a block away, our street seemed full of a good mix of locals and tourists. The apartment is on the 1st floor (ie 2nd floor for Americans), so there are some stairs but they aren't bad. Paul was very helpful, meeting my mother and me at the apartment, helping us up the stairs with our bags (full of wine from southern France), showing us around the apartment & answering all our questions. It was very clean and modern, and as expected, very small. Whoever designed the apartment was a genius though because they made good use of all available space. The nespresso machine in the kitchen was perfect for mornings we wanted to sit at the outside patio with a cup of coffee (bought pods at the FranPrix about a block away) and croissant (from Boulangerie Julien half a block away). Both the main bed and the bed on the mezzanine level (reached by a ladder) were EXTREMELY comfortable. I loved that there were outlets and a light just for the mezzanine level and while you can't stand up, I was able to at least sit up without hitting my head (I'm 5'9"). The apartment doesn't have any windows per se, but the glass ceiling and doors allow plenty of natural light. The apartment was very quiet even though it is on a busy street. Wifi worked great.

One thing to note is that while we knew the bathroom was glass, the privacy shade for the shower and frosted glass in front of the toilet really do no good if someone is at an angle/diaganol to either. You will only be blocked if that person is directly in front of you. (i.e. Anyone in the apartment can see you use the toilet unless they are in the living room area with the curtain to the bedroom closed). The only way to fix this would be to add more shades or frost more of the glass/the door section so it would cover at an angle (right now the bathroom area has 3 glass sections - one has the shower shade, one is clear glass and is the sliding door, and one is in front of the toilet and has the lower half frosted). In the end this wasn't a huge deal, but would have been more awkward if traveling with friends not family.

All in all the apartment was great. We loved the customer service, location, cleanliness, and the fact that it had AC (it was unexpectedly in the 80s-90s while we were there)

The apartment is centrally located in the first arrondissement. Within sight of the Louvre museum, nearly every monument is easily accessible by foot or by metro.

The neighborhood manages to feel both chic and charming: not only filled with fine restaurants and designer boutiques, but with outdoor markets, bakeries, and specialty food shops.
