Villa Lucia is situated in the seaside town of Chiclana, near historical Cadiz. It is set in a quiet culdesac near vineyards, among other villas and has a totally secluded walled garden with private patio area & pool. If you are looking for a holiday with mile upon mile of beautiful and long sandy beaches, sleepy villages, historic cities, and traditional Spanish culture then this is the place for you. The weather is good all year around with Atlantic breezes to keep it cool and the sunsets on the beaches here are absolutely beautiful. Choose between the natural unspoilt Sancti Petri beach or the famous blue flag 8km long Barrosa beach with its bars and restaurants, both a 5 minute drive from the Villa. The nearest airport is Jerez, around 40 minutes drive on motorway. Low cost airline Ryanair & Easyjet fly from Stansted to Jerez & Seville (80 minutes). There are many bars and restaurants close by and the nearest supermarket is 1.5km from the Villa or the local shop is a 5 minute walk.

Festivals and Fiestas.: There is a fantastic carnival in Cadiz in February. At Easter there are many celebrations throughout the area as the Spanish really celebrate Easter in a big way, especially Seville which boasts a fantastic carnival. The first week of May there is a famous Horse Fair in Jerez. During June through August there are many carnivals, fiestas and parties in different towns (all of the children and many adults dress up in fancy dress costumes) - see Spanish tourism websites for details. September is a month of celebrations in Jerez with an amazing horse parade and carnival days.
Whale and Dolphin watching, Tarifa. : A number of whale spotting guides operate from Tarifa (1 hour drive from Chiclana) offering two or three hour boat trips. Take a glass bottomed boat out to the Straits of Gibraltar to search for a variety of different whales and dolphins depending on the season.
April to June - sperm whales, July to August - killer whales. All year round - long-finned pilot whales and three types of dolphin - bottlenose, common and striped.
Visit Tangiers, Morocco. : It takes 35 minutes by fast ferry to reach Tangiers from Tarifa (1 hour drive from Chiclana). Tangiers is a place with a history of intrigue and mystery. It has everything you'd expect from Morocco - a medieval old city, vibrant market , tea houses and gardens. When you step off the ferry everything leads to the medina, the old walled city. The souk, or market spills out from the walls - a labyrinth of narrow streets and courtyards full of stalls selling everything from rugs to spices all at rock bottom prices.
