Beautiful house in a quiet area perfect for a large family with young kids
Stayed here for close to four weeks. The house itself is large, modern and very well-equipped. There is plenty to keep young (and older) kids entertained (toys, books, board games, DVDs, swings/climbing ropes outside, playstation, etc.). The owner was helpful and very responsive to the few issues we encountered.
Pros:
- Quiet neighbourhood within 20 min walking distance to Lamor Baden (seaside village)
- Easy access to many other towns/cities (Vannes, Auray/St-Goustan, La Trinité, Carnac all within 25 minutes) and other activities (pony/horse riding in Baden, strawberry picking in Ploeren, indoor heated pool and the Le P'tit Delire amusement park for little ones in Auray, and the Tire Bouchon train to Quiberon)
- Beach very close by (we preferred the a tiny one about 15 mins walk away off Rue de la Pointe that was cleaner and secluded)
- Proximity to ferries at Port Blanc to explore nearby islands
- Comfortable beds (the sofabed is also quite comfortable)
- Gated entrance so kids (aged 2+) could play safely by themselves in the garden, which includes a swing set/climbing ropes)
- Drive can accomodate 4 cars
- Good quality, high-speed internet
Cons:
- Poor noise insulation inside the house; a problem if people are on different sleep schedules and/or light sleepers
- Little/no mobile phone reception in parts of the house
- No dryer so difficult to dry large items like bed sheets unless it's warm and sunny outside
Would not hesitate to stay again!
