About this property

In the heart of the Old Town, a few steps from the new park "La Coulée Verte" and from the beaches, the apartment is on the top floor of a small building. It has the charm typical to the old town with high ceilings, apparent beams and a small balcony. Shops and restaurants are only a few minutes away. Still, the street is quiet as it is a dead end and with only residencies. The apartment is perfect for a couple or a family with children. OBS: it is located on the third floor and without lift.

My co-host, Chloé and I will be pleased to meet you; we'll receive you in front of the building. If you need any advice we gladly share our experiences such as favourite restaurants, places to visit etc.

A desinfecting gel is at your disposal, and be also aware that between each arrival, we desinfect taps, door handles, toilet seat and light switches.

Upon your arrival we offer you a bottle of Cote de Provence rosé wine. Nespresso capsules are also at your disposal.

Fabulous location

Lovely apartment in the centre of the beautiful Old Town in Nice. Everything is literally on your doorstep - market, beach, shops, harbour and restaurants galore! We were welcomed by Martin and Chloe who had no problem in allowing us to check in early straight from the airport. A cool bottle of Rose in the fridge was a welcomed additional extra! We had everything we needed in the apartment and was even offered an umbrella when it rained. Thankfully, it was a short shower and so we didn’t need it. The weather was beautiful 😊 Martin recommended a restaurant to celebrate our anniversary and it didn’t disappoint, the food and service was amazing! In fact, we didn’t have a bad meal whilst in Nice and we ate out every day somewhere new! There is something for everyone at this beautiful resort- even a doggy beach! Thank you to Martin and Chloe for being such fabulous hosts - we hope to visit again in the future and will definitely recommend to family and friends.

Perfect location to explore Nice

The property is at the top of a stone, deep, sharp cornered staircase. Around 50 steps. As much as we loved the location-very convenient and quiet we would not return to this particular property primarily because of the staircase. We are both fit and healthy but with luggage it was particularly difficult.

Well situated for all amenities

The situation of this property was great, centre of Old Town Nice and beach. The stairs ( all 50 of them) were challenging and probably best suited to those who are fit.

Excellent Apartment close to everything you might need

Twice a year I take my Mum, now 84 on Holiday and for Spring 2019, I choose this Apartment in Nice. Booking was quick and easy and communications were simple & fast. Chloe speaks good English. We had early flights to Nice and arrived before the booking in time, but we were able to meet Chloe and enter the apartment at Midday. We were instantly impressed, the two bedrooms were more than adequate. Chloe gave us a few pointers as to where to buy bread and pastries. The kitchen was very well stocked and the previous guests had left loads of goodies behind. There was Olive Oil, Balsamic Vinegar and loads of tea. All the other things we left. We did not do any cooking but if you wanted to I am sure there would be no problems. We got no further than heating up some fresh pasta with sauce we bought nearby. There was a TV but as ever we could not find any English channels, possibly a good thing as we on holiday to explore Nice. The apartment is near to everything. We were able to walk to Monoprix in 5 minutes and it was the same time to the Cours Saleya Market as well as the Promenade. There are hundreds of restaurants to choose from and we also bought ready cooked meals from a rotisserie just below Place Rossini. All the buses you might need are close by and it took us 5 minutes to walk to the bus to get back to the airport. We had a wonderful time in the apartment as it was so easy to get to anywhere you wanted. I would happily return to this apartment in the future. Many Thanks to Chloe & Martin.

More care required from owner to provide a satisfactory guest experience

Sadly, the property was not clean when we arrived. The person who visited after we arrived opened the oven to show us how it worked, and found that the oven was filthy from previous use. The person meeting us was very pleasant but shrugged and did not offer to clean the kitchen or arrange for it to be cleaned, as should have happened. It's not a good start to arrive in a property that feels grubby and where you are unsure which parts have been cleaned. Unfortunately, the photos do not show that this property is now presented in a tired condition, with low quality furnishings requiring thorough cleaning or preferably replacement (eg the sofa, curtains, etc). The bathroom would benefit from complete renovation and better cleaning. More care could be given to providing clear instructions for guests on the location of the rubbish bins. It took an age to find the bins because the directions were vague. Warning : there are about 5 or 6 flights of stairs (and the stairs are of different levels and uneven, so this property is not suitable for many guests and care is required going up and down due to the different stair levels). You should not underestimate how this will impact on your holiday, even with moderate fitness, as once you are in the apartment, you may think twice about "just popping out"!
