Old sheepfold converted into a village house, comfortably accommodates 5 people.

Enjoy the terrace at any time, in the sun or in the shade. In the heart of the natural park of Luberon, village house built in an old sheepfold dating from the XVIII century. Its stone walls preserve a good freshness. The main attraction of this house is its large tiled terrace with views of the surrounding countryside. We take advantage of sunrise to sunset to comfortably take meals or rest. The interior is authentic: ceiling beams in all rooms, stone walls or lime plaster. The bedding of the rooms is new and of quality, the decoration is neat (covers linen beds). The house has two completely private and independent access. The main entrance gives on a living room, stay, kitchen. On the first floor a bedroom with double bed (180x190) and a bathroom with sink, shower, wc. The second bedroom has an independent entrance directly on the terrace below. This piece is built against the rock, and is particularly cool during the summer heat. Its two beds of 90X190 can be united to become one. This room has a sink and a toilet nearby overlooking the terrace. We cancel the rental to a family with young children, this room does not give direct access to the parental room. The house is perfect to accommodate one or two couples, or a family with big kids. In the living room, the sofa is actually a real bed to accommodate a fifth person.

The rental includes linen, and for your comfort, the beds are made before your arrival.

In the heart of the Luberon, village house built in an old XVIII sheepfold. Large stone walls keep it cool even during hot summer days.

Enjoy the tile covered terrace with a view on the countryside as an outside dining room or a place for a rest on a sun-lounger.

Inside, the house is typically Provençal, stone or whitewash walls, linen bedspreads. Beddings are new in the bedrooms, an extra bed is available in the living room. The house is perfect for one or two couples, or a family of five (but not with young children). The second bedroom has a bathroom and an additional toilet.

Sheets and towels are included, and for your comfort, beds are prepared before your arrival.

The house is equipped with wifi, in all honesty the connection is sometimes slow but to consult his box and do some research it works well since this year. A library with numerous tourist guides, hiking guides and IGN map, as well as historical and architectural publications makes you forget the fact that there is no television.

Regarding our second home, the kitchen is relatively well equipped with dishes, household appliances (freezer, coffee maker, microwave, toaster) and various utensils. A washing machine, an iron and ironing board, a vacuum cleaner and a hairdryer are available. My wish is that you feel expected as friends.

You will be greeted by Rahma who will be your local contact throughout the stay. A "home book" will be at your disposal giving you all the practical information as well as our good local addresses. During your stay, I am at your disposal by email or phone.

Because what is good is much better shared, if you want to prepare in advance your stay, once your reservation, I send you by email my home book (my little corners of paradise, my addresses restaurants, shopping , or visits, links to sites to book activities ... and ideas for day trips from Oppedette) .Oppedette is a small authentic village away from the tourist crowd and it is for that we adore him.

The only business in the village is the cafe where Christiane serves hikers sandwiches, drinks and ice cream.

At the foot of the house, pass the GR 6 and 9, if you like to walk, you will be satisfied. Do not miss the Oppedette Gorge Tour: 3 hours of walking in an exceptional setting. To get an idea of ​​what awaits you appointment on the walkway designed for walkers at the entrance of the village overlooking the gorge.

You understand that a car is essential. Not a car can cross the village, it's a cul de sac! So you are assured of great tranquility! You will always find a place to park in the free parking at the entrance of the village, 150 meters from the house.

From the terrace you will certainly see cyclists, horses and hikers.

Oppedette is a perfect starting point to explore the perched villages of Luberon, Gordes, the leases of Provence, the Lavender road. A few kilometers from the markets of Provence, the charming villages of Banon (famous for its cheese), Simiane la Rotonde, Viens, the remarkable garden of the abbey of Valsaintes. Not far away are the cities of Apt and Manosque, Sénanque Abbey, Avignon, the Gorges du Verdon, Aix en Provence and Marseille, all of which can be visited during the day.

  • Le village est très calme, la location est faite pour y trouver le repos, aussi merci de respecter le caractère tranquille des lieux.
  • La maison propose une bibliothèque avec de nombreux guides de randonnée et de livres : merci de ne pas les emmener au dehors au delà de la terrasse.
  • En cas de dommage, ou même de petite casse - vaisselle ou autres- merci de me prévenir pour remplacer au plus vite pour les prochains occupants !

Très belles vacances à Oppedette

Fabienne, votre maison a beaucoup de charme et d'authenticité, les photos sont fidèles. On s'y sent très bien et les enfants ont beaucoup apprécié leur chambre accrochée au rocher. On ne se lasse pas de la terrasse avec sa vue sur les collines du Luberon.

Nous avons découvert en voiture, à pied et en vélo de très beaux paysages et des villages perchés superbes, la région est magnifique, à commencer par Oppedette et ses gorges.
