Overview

About the property

Quick and easy access by train with the Mont Blanc Express and by car.

If you are looking for a magical place off the beaten path, you found it. In a village of 60 inhabitants, suspended and you will quickly feel protected from the world.

Our cottage is a bohemian and cozy cabin built in 1850 on the transition from the old coach road linking Martigny to Chamonix. The surrounding nature makes this place a wild, authentic and powerful refuge.

The cottage is 65 square meters and 4 meters under ceiling. It is composed of a large main room with entrance, living room, kitchen and mezzanine, a bedroom and a bathroom. The chalet dates from 1850 and has been renovated keeping to its original state. In the center of the chalet, a pellet stove (wood) diffuses heat and allows you to admire the flame. At the show, you have a video projector, a very large screen and a catalog of movies that you can watch. You also have a bluetooth speaker (Marshall) for your music and wifi. Every piece of furniture, every object has been chiné and chosen in a spirit of bohemian-chic decoration. Tap water comes directly from a source and is better than any mineral water.

The view of the chalet overlooks the forest.

A small covered balcony as well as a large terrace and a large garden are at your disposal.

The Gorges du Triège (to visit! ) Are just at the entrance to the village. The historic route of the stagecoach road also starts from the village.

The chapel of the village ...

In winter, a free shuttle picks up skiers and lugeurs directly in the village to take them to the Marécottes gondola lift. The tourist train takes you in 35 minutes at the foot of the slopes of the domain of Balme in Vallorcine. (There is a train + ski pass). You also have access to other ski areas in the Chamonix valley.

In summer, the famous pool carved in the rock of the alpine zoo is less than ten minutes walk. The Alpine Zoo (the highest in Europe) is open all year round. (Like its cozy restaurant)

The area is a place of hiking. You can also practice canyoning, paragliding, climbing, ski touring ...

In a few minutes, by train (or by car) you find:

-magazine, butcher, bakery, cafes, restaurants, bankomate ...

- Bike (mountain bike) and electric bike rental.

-location of sports equipment

-indoor swimming pool

- climbing hall

-museum Marconi (inventor of the radio)

In 23 minutes, you are in Martigny if you want to visit the Giannada Foundation. Add 25 minutes and you are at the thermal baths of Saillon!

With the little tourist train that takes you through spectacular landscapes, you are in an hour, at the foot of Mont Blanc, the roof of Europe and in the middle of Chamonix, the world capital of Mountaineering with its history, its streets Cosmopolitan, its shops and elegant hotels.

Finally, it is an ideal place:

For people seeking peace

For sensitive and inquisitive people

Ideal for a romantic stay for two.

Ideal for a family with 1 or 2 children over 7 years.

Ideal for two couples of friends.

Quality of the place:

Calm, beautiful, atypical, unique, organic

weak points:

Little soundproof between the rooms

Access by travelers

1. To get to the chalet by train (23 minutes from Martigny): take the Mont-Blanc Express (Martigny-Chamonix line), stop Le Trétien. (Do not forget to ask for the stop by pressing the "stop" button when Hear the announcement of the village "Le Trétien"). Then, from the station, go down to the asphalt road that runs through the village. Once on this road, you will see a fountain and a few meters away, the public toilets. Facing the toilet, there is a small alley that goes down. It is the Rue de la Plantze, the Rue du Chalet. The cottage is on the left side of the lane and this is the second house you come across. You are at number 7, rue de la Plantze.

Our cottage is recognizable, there are blue flags in the garden.

2. By road: after your arrival in Martigny, take direction Salvan, then Les Marécottes. (About 15 minutes). After passing the Marécottes zoo you will arrive at the Trétien. You cross the village with the car, you pass in front of the public toilets, in front of a parking on your continuez. Then, at the exit of the village, the road goes down again. You make a lace and you return to the village and you do not go further, you stop in the parking lot next to the old school. From here you walk up the narrow paved alley about 150 meters past the chapel and then past a pass in front of a garden terrace on your continue to climb and you find the number 7, rue de la Plantze on your right.

Superschönes Häuschen mit tollem Panorama!

  • 5 of 5
