Making the most of a tricky situation.

Due to the Coronavirus' s restrictions, we haven't been able to do any sightseeing but staying in this lovely property made it up for us and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Pas idyllique a cause des moustiques et du manque d’hygiène. ..

Villa de charme très bien placée le long du sentier littoral. Commodités à proximité . Résidence calme sauf si votre voisin est bruyant car il faut savoir que la villa est jumelée avec une autre . Toutefois , cette maison qui a un certain age mériterait d’être rafraîchie à l’intérieur et décrassée surtout au niveau des sols . Pas de prise électrique dans la salle de bains du bas (normal car pour handicapés) , ni dans celle du 1er étage. L’alarme de la piscine s’est déclenchée plusieurs fois intempestivement y compris en pleine nuit, la tv ne marchait pas , les casseroles sont dans un état tel que vous mangez du tefal chaque fois que vous vous en servez . J’ajoute qu’au 1er étage les moustiquaires n’étaient pas posées et dans un triste état et qu’une fourmilière dans le toit saupoudre votre lit d’un tas de débris . La moustiquaire du grand lit au rez de chaussée est trop petite . Enfin , je termine par le pire : LES MOUSTIQUES !!!!!! Jamais vu ça au mois de janvier !!! Et ça fait 30 ans que nous venons en Guadeloupe !!! Quartier ?? Maison sombre et pas nickel ?? Les photos du site ne montrent pas tout cela...... dommage

Impressions mitigées

Toute la famille était très impatiente de découvrir la maison et en attendait beaucoup d'après le descriptif alléchant. Or, finalement pas mal de désagréments ont un peu gâché le séjour : beaucoup de moustiques, des cafards et probablement des rongeurs dans la chambre du haut. Le lit double est étroit et la salle de bain du bas très peu pratique avec une douche au milieu sans paroi protectrice qui innonde les toilettes à chaque utilisation... Tous les matins, nous avons été réveillés à l'aube (entre 7 et 8h) soit par les aboiements des chiens du quartier soit par le jardinier de la résidence avec au choix tronçonneuse, tondeuse coupe-haie électrique ...pas très agréable en vacances... La piscine mériterait aussi un entretien plus fréquent qu'une fois/semaine car elle était pleine d'algues vetes en arrivant qui sont revenues 3 jours à peine après le passage du jardinier. Pour parler des points positifs, la maison est très bien équipée notamment en vaisselle, le lave linge est très appréciable, la terrasse avec le hamac, est bien ventilée et bien agréable et plus que tout, l'emplacement de la maison est au top. Le nord de Basse Terre est magnifique et notamment la mer dépourvue de sargasses et son accessibilité à 2 pas de la maison est un vrai plus. Les plages, plus belles les unes que les autres ont été un vrai bonheur de découvertes et se sont prêtées à beaucoup de balades à pied en suivant le sentier des douaniers. On a fait une cure d'acras vendus dans une cabane créole à l'entrée du parking de Leclerc et passé un très bon moment chez Chantal à la sucrerie de Nogent. On repart avec plein de bons souvenirs malgré les inconvénients cités et c'est le principal...

Calme et tranquillité

La maison est très agréable et très bien équipé. La proximité de la plage, d'une belle marche et des commerces est appreciable et commode. L'accueil par Evelyne est de grande qualité. Ce fût un séjour reposant et de decouverte de la basse terre.
