DESCRIPTION:
Surface: approximately 55 m² on the ground spread over 2 levels.
Ground floor:
The entrance to the main room is directly from the terrace: dining area, lounge area with TV. The imposing rustic fireplace ('cantou') adjoined to the "kitchen garden" -the sturdiness of our old-time furnaces- attests to the authenticity of the place.
On the right, the small corridor of clearance composed of 4 steps to climb gives access:
- the kitchenette (1 hotplate, 1 table-top refrigerator, small appliances (coffee maker, electric toaster, microwave).
- and small small bathroom (small bath with shower, basin, WC with cumulus 100 liters above).
These two spaces have been cleverly landscaped instead of an old reserve buried 3/4, contiguous to the house and built at the end of the 19th century. 2 small fixed frames bring light and ventilation.
A washing machine is available in an additional room, as well as a parking space.

On the floor (access by a beautiful wooden staircase located on the right of the door of entrance), the landing serves:
-Left side, the double room with big hairy,
- and right side, the very small room very very sloping (passage lowered- a curtain separating with the landing) with 1 (or 2 beds) of a person.

The terrace (with table and garden chairs, parasol) allows you to take meals outdoors and enjoy a nice view of the entire property and the surrounding countryside ... Barbecue mobile charcoal.
Access to the backyard is through the second door (4 steps to climb from the main room, then 6 steps outside to climb also to be at the ground level).

Each accommodation will benefit from the private swimming pool shared with holidaymakers from the three gites (La Baronnie, Le Pigeonnier, La Petite Baronnie) and owners who provide the maintenance. Its use remains family.
The pool, 5m x 10m, is secured by an audible alarm (fall detector) meeting the standards in force fixed on the lip.
A semi-sliding shelter according to the weather (except in July and August) preserves the temperature of the water and allows swimming in May, June, September and October.
Sunbathing available.

Good location
The property is clean, comfortable and very well positioned both from the point of view of visiting sites and a very good view from the property's outdoor areas. We were made very welcome. Our only criticisms are being sent a contract in archaic, legalese French when our French is almost non-existent and the substantial size of the deposit required. The latter is awkward for visitors not in the Euro zone. The kitchenette is tiny but that was not hidden from us. The fridge is an under the counter fridge not a worktop fridge, which is good.

Peace and calm
Everything was as stated. Claude was very helpful and quick with her responses prior to arriving. The cottage is really suited to a small family but the smaller bedroom was fine for my mother. The bathroom is not upstairs which was a very small issue and didn't cause too many problems. I think this might be a concern if you have small children. Pool was welcome if a little 'refreshing'. But in September it doesn't get enough sun on it to warm it up. The village is very pretty and the night market was brilliant. Highlight of the visit was the meal we had on our last night at Le Fils au Saisons. Best food I've eaten in a long time. Cold pork fillet was beautiful. Overall a very pleasent week in a beautiful part of the world.

The location of the Gite was close to lots of great places to explore, with the bonus of a fab pool. We had a great holiday and would thoroughly recommend, thank you!
