Cottage in the heart of Périgord near Brantôme, Angoulême, Périgueux

The gite de la grange de l'étang des Faures has been converted from an old stone outbuilding and is located in a charming little hamlet in the Périgord countryside. The property is accessed via an automated gate leading to a private car park, which is fully secured by an enclosed fence, as are all the outdoor areas (gardens, terraces, swimming pool, etc....) in which the house is set. The gîte has a large electrolysis-treated swimming pool measuring 6 x 12 metres, which is heated from early July to late August. The pool is secured by an alarm and a fence completes the protection of the surrounding area for the safety of your children. A south-facing terrace with BBQ and furniture completes the poolside area, while a wooded, fenced garden provides the perfect setting for a variety of outdoor games. During the summer period (from early July to late August), the pool area and its surroundings (pool, gardens, terraces, equipped BBQ area (fridge, etc....) are entirely reserved and privatised for the occupants of the gîte. The pool is open from mid-April to mid-October, weather permitting, to cater for our spring and late-season guests.
The interior of the gite comprises a beautiful cathedral ceiling living room opening onto a fully-equipped open-plan kitchen, offering all the comforts you need to spend relaxing moments with family and/or friends. The house has 5 bedrooms with a total capacity of 10 people with 3 bedrooms with double beds, 1 bedroom with twin beds and 1 bedroom with a bunk bed, the bedrooms have 4 private shower rooms (3 with showers and 1 with a bath), all with WC. The outdoor areas (swimming pool, terraces, BBQ and breakfast area) have been designed to ensure your complete peace and privacy.
