Idyllic location with stunning views
We wished we had booked more nights here. The host was warm and welcoming and we enjoyed arriving to fresh cakes and eggs. We were hesitant about a studio flat for four, but it was much more spacious than we had expected and the dividers and alcoves in the room created spaces for all of us to not be on top of each other. Perfect location to reach the Blue Lagoon (worth the money), geothermal sites and power station, rocky cliffs and also Reykjavik. We were lucky to have a clear day and watch the sun setting from our balcony over the Atlantic - magical! Would recommend staying here for several days or more, not just as an airport stop over.

Wonderful ending to a great trip
This is a wonderful home with the best hostess you could ever hope to encounter. The property is magical. Beach views and a gorgeous lighthouse made it a perfect place for us to end our time in Iceland. Hope to return soon!! P.S. We had a four and six year old and they were in heaven. Lots of lovely toys upstairs for them to play with and Dagmar (our hostess) played with bubbles for them and due to our food allergies even greeted us with bread they could eat. Lovely experience. Highly recommend.

We are a family of four and a dog. We keep horses on the fields around the house and enjoy them throughout the year. Our chickens provide fresh eggs and are an endless source of joy as they run or stroll their way around the property.
We are all passionate about the nature of Iceland and enjoy travelling ourselves. For over ten years we have been working in the highlands during summers as hut wardens, welcoming and taking care of hikers from all over the world.
We are happy to welcome you and hope we may make your stay pleasurable.

Why they chose this property

Narfakot has everything we long for, the sea, vast horizon, close to Reykjavík yet rural, quiet and privet. It offers the freedom and closeness to nature we want our children to grow up in. We enjoy the intensity of the elements and the beautiful Reykjanes Peninsula.

What makes this property unique

Here the elements invite you to share a unique experience. While watching ocean tides splash along the coast, you can listen to the calls of the various sea birds. You experience the wonder of the midnight sun while enjoying some of the most beautiful sunsets.
You are surrounded by peaceful countryside in a geothermal area that has unlimited walking and hiking possibilities in an endless variation of hills, mountains, lava streams and lakes, all bordered by the wild Atlantic Ocean where you may even spot whales and seals passing by.
