Very Happy with our Stay!

Excellent location and lots of room for our group. Very private penthouse with gorgeous views of the village and the harbor in the distance. Our host was great to work with as well.

Nice apartment in a good central location

Nice apartment and very good location, close to all the shops, restaurants and bars. Appreciated the parking bay in the nearby underground car park too. One of the upstairs bedrooms, however, did not have any storage and would have benefitted from some drawers or a wardrobe. The bedroom was certainly big enough to accommodate this.

The owners were very friendly and helpful, meeting us on arrival and departure.

Great location and nice appartment

We picked the apartment for a number of reasons but mostly because it was close to Vannes Old Town and we chose well. The location is great. Just 100m from the center of town, with some well reviewed restaurants even closer than that. Its a top floor (4th) apartment with a reasonably sized lift right outside the door. Inside it had some great features, most of it is modern and new. Very nice en-suite with walk-in rainfall shower and large heated towel rail, which was useful as it was February and cold outside. There was electric heaters throughout. The main room had two big heaters set to 19.5c and locked down, but other rooms had heaters you could adjust. No complaints about that.

The galley kitchen was big enough and very well equipped. Full size oven and hob. There was also separate washer and dryer, which came in useful as it rained for a lot of our stay. There was a good sized TV but only french satellite. No problem for us as I took a Chromecast and we watch stuff online. Wifi router was fast enough and reliable. There was also a big bluetooth speaker which we used all the time for music.

Furniture was mostly good. Main bed very comfortable (there was only two of us so no idea about the rest). About the only thing I could say needs improvement is the lounge furniture. The sofa was a bed also, so they are never that comfortable. The other chairs were very low. OK for teenagers but not great for the oldies like us.

We met the couple that own the apartment and both were very nice people with good English. We were told everything we needed to know when we turn up. All communication online and via telephone was answered very quickly and they met us exactly when we agreed both on arrival and departure. Due to the weather we didn't get to see and do everything we wanted, so we are keen to return to Vannes again. When we do this will be the first place we check for availability.

Wonderful views over the roof tops to the sea in the distance but only minutes from old quarter

This is an extremely well appointed apartment on the 4th floor of a small apartment building just 50metres or so from the pedestrianised old quarter of the city.

The views over the roof tops from the large terrace are stunning. Building security is very good and the secure underground parking nearby is a real bonus.

If we return to Vannes in the future this will be our first choice property.

Wow!!! A penthouse in downtown Vannes...

If only it was in Boston, we'd try to buy it from Gascon! There are no words other than superlatives to describe this property. It's was as if we died and went to heaven. Absolutely every aspect of this apartment deserves 5 stars. The secure parking, a chef's kitchen, the abundance of light, the terrace surrounding the the entire place, the availability of a totally outfitted loft and a location that was a 5 minute walk from the old city and the fact that an elevator deposited you in front of the door to the apartment... What else could you possibly need or want on a holiday? Oh, there was also Gascon--a most gracious owner who took time to orient us to all of the features and amenities in the unit.

If you plan on visiting Vannes, this is definitely a place that should serve as your home away from home.
