Stunning Sea View Apt on the Ramparts in the Old Town of Antibes

In a unique location with breathtaking panoramic views of the sea, mountains, sandy beach, Fort Carré and Port Vauban, you’ll experience a magical atmosphere here for your holiday. We affectionately call the apartment 'Place de Rêves' (Place of Dreams) as the building’s entrance is just off the ‘Place de Revely’ in the Old Town of Antibes. It is on the 3rd (top) floor in the building next to the former home of the artist Nicolas de Staël. The apartment has 2 balconies, 1 in the bedroom and 1 off the living room. The bedroom is Air Conditioned with a king-sized bed (160 x 200cm) and there is a large sofa bed (170 x 200cm) in the living room. The sunny and spacious living room comes equipped with a Roland digital piano overlooking the marina. Best of all, the Mediterranean Sea lies just outside so the views are quite stunning!

The apartment is located a one-minute walk through the Place de Revely and under the Roman arch of the Old City wall to the famous market called the ‘Marché Provençal’ where you’ll find fresh local produce. Within a few meters is the world acclaimed Picasso Museum where he worked in the 1940s and where you’ll find a stunning collection of his paintings and ceramics. Picasso painted his "La Joie de Vivre" in Antibes in 1946. Today, Antibes still embodies The Joy of Life.

Possibly the most perfectly-situated apartment in Antibes, you’ll find a large choice of restaurants, shops, and cafes within easy walking distance (2 minutes or less!). The apartment provides an ideal setting for a car-less vacation on the French Riviera. We can provide for pick-up and drop-off at Nice (NCE) Airport if needed at an extra charge.

The fantastic views make the open plan kitchen/living room/dining area a natural gathering area for relaxing, and cooks will appreciate the well-appointed kitchen. The kitchen includes an electric oven, electric cooker with glass hob, microwave, fridge with freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer combo, Nespresso machine, milk frother and coffee presses (cafetières) in two sizes. All fittings are high quality and the kitchen will have everything you need to cook fine food at home.

Whether you're lingering over a pain au chocolat and coffee on the balcony table-for-2 for breakfast or you’re proudly serving dinner made from fresh Provençal ingredients you purchased at the market on the dining table (seats 6), you’ll enjoy the ever changing views of the Mediterranean below.

The well-appointed bathroom has a shower, tub and towel warmer.

For exploring further afield, the apartment is a 10-minute walk to trains/buses to Cannes, Nice, Monaco, and the Nice airport. Ski resorts in the Alps are located within a 1.5-2 hour drive (Isola 2000 & Auron).

Your rental includes an "arrival starter kit" (toilet paper, paper towel roll, soap, coffee, tea, milk, wine and water), cleaning (for a 2 guest rental, a £50.00 charge will be added for 3 or more guests), bed linen, towels, beach towels & beach gear, electricity, water, WiFi, and phone calls to fixed lines in most parts of the world (Europe, Continental USA and Canada) and phone calls to mobile phones in the continental USA and Canada. Please note, you will be charged from your deposit for all other calls.

There are very few properties with this location in the Old Town of Antibes looking over the sea. As we have two apartments in the Old Town, we have decided to offer this apartment for holiday lets starting in May, 2014.

12 Magical Nights!

Just departed from the most awesome stay! We aren't sure what was the highlight to make the apartment stay the best. The incredible views, the warmth and welcome of our hosts Judy and Jonathon or the comfort of the accommodations. Everything you need is here including a space heater for the cool mornings and evenings when you still want to sit on the terrace or have the large French doors open! Judy and Jonathon helped us plan our stay and made reservations for us at all the wonderful restaurants in the area and hilltop towns. Don't miss a visit to St Paul de Venice and the Columbe d'Or restaurant which features artwork from all the masters who traded art for their food bills and visit to Foundation Maeght. Biot for glassblowing and glass purchase and lunch at Les Terrailiers and Leger Museum, Eze and Chateau Eza, Monte Carlo and a visit to the Museum Oceanographique followed by lunch at Pacific Restaurant, Club 55 St Tropez, and several wonderful restaurants right in Antibes. We had a wonderfully perfect week thanks to Judy and Jonathon. They truly are the hostesses with the mostesses! But finally after all is said and done it is the view that we are going to miss most! The Gravette Beach with all its activity of swimmers, and beach goers, Antibes harbor with its boats entering and exiting, including a visit by Dilbar over 512 feet and the 3rd largest private yacht in the world, plus the sailing regattas right out our window. We could almost touch the sailboats! We will be be back again! Au revoir!

You can not get a better view or location in Antibes!!

We had the most amazing visit to Antibes! Judy and Jonathon picked us up at the airport with the most enthusiastic welcome! They whisked us down the Promonade giving us details of the Cote d' Azure. Their apartment had everything you could possibly want with a view that makes your jaw drop. It is truly a "pinch-me-am-I-dreaming-kind -of-place!" Their dinner and activity recommendations were perfect! The apartment is a stone's throw from a beautiful food market where we loaded up on goodies each day. I can't recommend this place enough!!

perfect honeymoon in Antibes!

We had the best time honeymooning at Jonathan and Judy's place. As others have mentioned, the view is incredible and the reason we initially chose this apartment over many others we looked at! We also liked the idea of Antibes being smaller (and cuter) than many of the big cities along the Riviera and we were not disappointed there! In addition to the ideally situated apartment, where we often found ourselves waking up in the bedroom to the faint sounds of the water lapping on the beach below, then moving into the living room "daybed" to enjoy the view from there before walking a few steps down the road to the local market, the service of Jonathan and Judy themselves set this place apart! We took advantage both of the ride offered from the airport (for a fee, but cheaper than a taxi would've cost us), and of the offer to reserve us a table at their favorite Italian restaurant when they called to check on us a few days into our stay. They had adapters, beach chairs, and everything you could think of (but probably forgot until you arrived) for a comfortable stay. Last but not least, Judy was able to help us out of a tight jam upon departure, when we realized we had lost our parking ticket! As a local, she was able to sweet-talk the lot attendant on our behalf and saved us a hefty fee. If you are looking for a relaxed stay in an apartment with an amazing view in a picture-perfect town on the coast, but still would love a bit of service when the need arises -- look no further! Thanks again Jonathan and Judy, we hope to be back someday!

Perfect place

This was our 4th consecutive year in Place de Reves and Antibes. A and short walk from the Gare to a warm welcome from Jonathon and Judy and its like being at home now. The market, the beach, the Bandol, the yoga and the balcony view of 'le Nomade' and the mountains beyond Nice. It's heaven and we'll be back. Obviously - because we love it!

The VIEW! The sound of Waves! The Location!

Judy and Jonathan were so helpful to me the entire stay. Picked up an exhausted driver from Hertz, carried bags for me and left me to sit and stare at the sea!

My four days there were perfect. Lunch with local friends ended up with a tour of the apartment and they were stunned with the view!

Can't wait to return!

My husband and I just spent 16 wonderful days at Place de Reves in the old town of Antibes. We couldn't have asked for a better location, a more beautiful view, a more comfortable apartment, or nicer and more accomadating hosts! Jonathan and Judy were delightful to deal with from our very first correspondence many months ago and were so warm and welcoming upon our arrival. They thoughtfully left us a starter kit which included milk, eggs, ketchup, mustard, coffee, and wine, sugar, etc, so after our long trip we didn't have to run out to the market. The kitchen was very well equipped which made it easy to prepare nice meals. The bed was comfortable with good quality linens. Everything was spotless. It's very evident that they want you to enjoy their home! (which we certainly did!) The breeze into the living room was heavenly; we spent a lot of time just sitting in front of the French doors, enjoying it and the view of the beach and harbor and the mountains behind. The bedroom is airconditioned, so we were always comfortable sleeping. I can't say enough good things, we definitely want to return! Thank you, Judy and Jonathan!
