Lovely Former Dairy In Highland Scotland With Private Hot tub and Fishing

Updated: 10-Dec-2016
Beautiful Cottage For Two With Private Hot Tub in Scottish Highland Estate

A gorgeous cottage tucked away in the Perthshire mountains, the former Dairy with it's private hot tub is located within the lovely 40 acre Highland estate of Craggantoul.

Newly refurbished, this beautiful cottage is the perfect hideaway for a lovely break. The cottage has a light and airy living, dining and kitchen area with comfortable sofa and armchair for guests to relax. The master bedroom has a king sized bed with luxurious Egyptian cotton bed linen, and beautiful bed throw to sink into after a day on the hills. The spacious bathroom has a free-standing roll top cast iron bath and walk in power shower for our guests to use.

The cottage comes with a selection of books and DVDs, as well as satellite wifi and there is a stereo system and LED flat screen TVs in the living room and bedroom.

In the garden is a luxurious circular hot tub for guests of the Dairy to use, and we also have fishing rights from our Loch Tay shoreline. Guests will also experience a huge variety of bird life and other animals including a family of roe deer who wander freely around the estate during their time at Craggantoul. We look forward to welcoming you!

About the Owner

We live in Scotland with our two young children and operate a holiday cottage business on the shores of Loch Tay in the Scottish Highlands and a ski chalet business in the heart of the Swiss Alps.

Our properties range in style, age and size - they range from renovated farm steadings to alpine chalets, but all have a great sense of homeliness, and beautiful views, as well as lots of little luxuries to help everyone unwind and enjoy their holidays, no matter how old or young they may be!

Cosy, luxurious cottage in stunning remote setting

  • 5 of 5

We came to Craggantoul for relaxation and from the first email enquiry to leaving, we were so impressed with the level of service and attention to detail. The Dairy is luxurious, cosy and comfortable and the hot tub with views of birds of prey diving and deer grazing at dusk was unbeatable. We had total peace and quiet and enjoyed walking down to the beautiful tranquil loch. The cottage itself is extremely well equipped for cooking and relaxing with an enormous bathroom. The location was picture perfect. We will be back as soon as we possibly can!

From the Owner

Loch Tay is a fantastic location for holidays and there is so much to do in the area, no matter the time of the year. The Dairy at Craggantoul can be reached in just two hours from Glasgow or Edinburgh, but is still tucked away from the buzz of daily life. Whilst refurbishing the property from a former dairy house, we have tried to create a homely feel to the house with lovely furnishings and the beautiful views over the surrounding meadows up towards Ben Lawers, which make it a very special place. The hot tub is a lovely addition to the property for a little extra luxury.

From the Owner

Loch Tay offers guests numerous opportunities for fishing (from our shores), climbing (we are located at the foot of the mighty Ben Lawers mountain), boating on the loch, visiting castles, distilleries, golf, and all just on our doorstep! The house itself offers a comfortable bolt-hole to unwind after all of these activities, to relax at the end of the day and experience the variety of wildlife including a family of roe deer which roam freely at Craggantoul.
